American Idol came down with this: A great siing for Jordin Sparks was a rather awful one for Blake Lewis. Jordin was 17 years old and Blake was 25 years old. Lewis said that he would have picked Jordin the winner. He said that he would have been Satisfied with being in the top 10. He alway felt my heart was less mainstream. Jordin said that she remembered sitting down and thinking about how perfect it is. Blake got to the final 2 then lost to a very good singer Jordin Sparks. Blake said that he wouldn't had done anything different though. He made a decision that he wanted the blue Mustang and Jordin said that she wanted the red one. That worked out so well I thought. I thought it was really cool that the person who I wanted to win always wins. I'm wanted Jordin to win and that's just what happened. THat was my last current Event.
Good Better best never let it rest until your good gets better and your better gets best! Woooooooo! Was what we used to say until we made bad choices. some people were trying to be leaders but others didn't really care. I think others should put their attention on their work and leave the distractions alone, because it's not fair that people who try to be leaders just get ignored and they try and try. My class should start making better choices besides the leaders and what actually listen to what we have to say for once. I hope we earn it back. So please listen to what I have to say or we'll be know as the pretty good class. Or worse. Thank you!

The Bulls showed a lot of resolved against s team that usually doesn't time when it has a chance to eliminate an opponent. The score ended up to be 102-87. That was to avoid a sweep and make Game 5 necessary tonight at the Palace. The Piston's prediction was of a sweep after the Piston's led 3-0

I thought it went pretty well. There was a lot of things to do in so little time. I had a lot of fun with grandma Sharon and I was really glad that she came up for a mothers day, grandparents Day, and My moms Birthday. I let her look at my blogs and other things on the computer. I took her to see how we edited movies that we made. with my other grandma we really only talk and then she left me on my own. With out telling me good bye or telling me where she went. Other than that it was ok.

1) What I liked was how he did the articles about the caribou. It was some funny and some really serious. Also I liked how they put pictures in so you could see a lot of Physical Characteristics.

2) What I learned from it was that caribou when they are pregnant they have not one but at least four babies. I think that is a lot of babies.

3) What I found interesting was that caribou only eat plants not other animals. I thought that they ate other animals because of their big horns.

4) The changes that I would make would be to write more and make it so that people could understand more of your writing. Also they should have some pictures on the pages not on one only page and the page have a lot of pictures that don't even make sense to me.

A driver of a farm tractor died after a devastating collision with a semitanker on Monday afternoon. The tractor broke apart and tossed the driver as the semi jakknifed. About 200 ft. of gouges and black marks in the 2-lane highway. The trtactors wooden fertilizer wagon was strewn from ditch to ditch for perhaps 100 ft. The semi driver walked away from the 2:15 p.m. accident and was in sheriffs Department custody for questioning. It wasn't clear to people how it happened on a straight away. It happened South Cochran Road. I think the way the semi driver should be in custody because the tractor was in the field turning around and he got in an accident. If I was the semi driver I would give the family some money to help grow their crops and for his funeral too. I feel so bad for the family. I wish this wouldn't had happened. Attaen then shares a story with Matt from his tribe's lore. What was the point of his story? How did Matt respond?

Attaen makes an interesting discovery with Matt about a wolf and "white man's trap." How is this explaination of why the wolf did what it did be related to the plight of the native americans as the "white man?"

Attaen was interested in reading because he would never bow down to a white man. Because white man weren't nice to Native Americans and so neither was the wolf. The white men aren't nice to Natives so wolves aren't nice to them either so the wolf is like the white men.

Have you ever been left at home alone? What was that responsibility like? Were you left with specific instructions or was it on accident? What types of rules would kids have it they are left alone? Describe IN DETAIL the feelings Matt felt when he realized Matt was not on the the stranger was coming into his cabin. Did he make a good choice by letting him in? What would you do in that same situation?

When I was left a lone for a long time it felt like there was a ghost beside me. I had kept hearing all these weird sounds. I couldn't cook at all and my mom's rule is that I can't play with fire unless it's an Emergency. I didn't really think it was a emergency so IO ate out of the pantry. Matt I thought was kind of okward because he really didn't know what he was doing here. Matt had just went with the flow kind of. That guy like just made himself at home. I don't think it was a good idea to let him in because he could pull out a weapon and hurt him whenever he wants. What I would do in that situation would be that I wouldn't let anyone in because that is my mom's rule to. That's what i would do.

I don't think I could survive because I can't cook, Also I would be very lonely. It's hard for me too be alone because I like to be with my family or friends. If i can't cook and I can't play with fire than I won't be able to survive very well.
One day I had forgotten the day I've was waiting for. The day was going to Lanigsburg MI to Xavier University. We packed a week eårlier because we wanted to be prepared. By the time I had my teeth brushed and was getting my things in to the car. My brother was just up getting his teeth brushed. First stop, Ann Arbor Zoo. We had to go to the nearest gas station because my mom drives a little to fast so we ran out of gas. We got packed in again. Then I started to smell a horrible smell. I looked at my brother. He looked back at my Dad. They both said to each other," I didn't do it." I glared in the back. I saw a black and white tail lift up. " Oh no!" I plugged my nose. My dad had had enough so he picked the skunk up and through him out the window. I learned a fact. The fact was that Skunks don't listen very well. The next stop was night time at American Inn. That was in Marysville OH. When we got there it was beautiful. Golden elevator with a water fountain in the front. The first thing my dad said was " good landscaping." We spent the night in a 2 bed room. I had to sleep with my brother. Look at the bright side it was like a suite to me. It had a pool that I never wanted to stop going in there. It came around that we had to leave, but I didn't want to at all, but I was excited that i could go see Xavier play. It wasn't long on the ride until we polled to a scretching stop. It turned out that my dad and mom had to go to the bathroom like really bad. They told us to go to so we didn't have to stop again in a while. I was to excited to sleep, anyway it was almost 12:00 anyway. In a flash of speed we were there to watch Xavier lose. " Oh Well, better luck next time." We were going home now. I would say that's it's time to prank each other.

“Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. You are what you do repeatedly.”
-Shaquille O’Neal

Explain what this quote means to you. Complete this on your blog and using Microsoft Word, digitally alter the photo to give it the "Andy Warhol" effect.

I think that means that you can be excellent when you don't mean to. I also think it means that you can always be excellent even though you don't mean to. That's what I think it means to me. I also think that it means to keep trying to work hard so then people know that you are known as excellent and it's because of a habit.

Monday Morning Talk -- 03-19-07

I think Ms. Patel was a really good speaker because she was right about everything. I think she was saying that Mr. Meyer was spending all of his money on us, but we really don't deserve it. We are spoiled and we NEED to give him some surprises like he gave us. My thoughts are that we are getting more than any other class. I also think that she was really sure that we didn't deserve what Mr. Meyer was giving us. Last year Mr. Meyer spent about 4,000 dollars on school things. I think we had a lot of excuses and they are sick of them. Ms. Patel doesn't like when her kids are late for their class with her. She wants respect from us and others. I think we should try to deserve the stuff that Mr. Meyer gives us. To do that he should take things away so we can get focused on. Then start to bring them back. A lot of people don't acknoledge the things he does and the things he gives for us. I just want to prove that my class has respect and should get what we get. It is going to be a challenge to achieve it, but we NEED to. I feel really sorry for Mr. Meyer and Ms. Patel have to deal with. It's not all are fault, but it's a lot of people that make us not deserve what we get. It's almost about all are consiqences and are choices that we make. I'm going to try to help out and find something to do so Mr. Meyer doesn't get mad at me for bothering him. As a student I can tell a lot of people who should be in Ms. Patel's class because they don't pay attention or get distracted easily. If the people who do that finally get the point I'll be very happy because we would get a lot more privlages than others. If others respect they will gain more respect for themselves. Respect means that your on task, doing what your told, and being the best student you can ever be. Also to be responsible. That's a big part of school is being responsible. Then the teacher can trust you. Then you can have more appertonities.

I got a tye-dyed soccerball, since I play soccer all the time. I also got 3 books, the first 2 book was for the 1 book i had. She said that she couldn't just buy one of the books. The other book was called The Anybodies. I had really wanted that book at the book fair. Also I got a red, white, and black jogging suit. I loved my birthday present. What I got from Grandma was an American Girl book that talks about a service dog. My favorite animal is a dog, so that's why she got it for me. Also my Grandma got me a blue and green towel. Those are my favorite colors. That's all that I got for my birthday IN THE MORNING.

How the basset hound got his long ears. -- 03-07-07

How the basset hound got there long ears!

1. He couldn't hear very well cause of short ears.
2. After avalanche can hear a lot better.
3. Can actually have some privacy with those long ears instead of short ears.

Idiom:
Apple in the eye
Barking

Moral
Always watch for your dogs success it might lead to a great discover.
Plot

1. Rocky keeps going to the wrong tree to hunt.
2. He gets mad because he gets teased by the other hunter dogs.
3. He only has a couple of friends that realize he always come home crying/pouting.
4. They try to get his ears better by making all these sounds for him to recognize.
5. He goes Barking again but runs into an Avalanche that stretch his ears out.

There was this basset hound who couldn't hear very well his owner would call but Rocky wouldn't come. So Rocky went hunting but went barking again. So his friends tried to help. So they made all these sounds that he had to reconized. That seemed to help but,not cure it. So they went hunting again and he went barking again. This time he went in to an avalanche, some rocks landed on his short ears that when he tried to get out his ears stretched. So when his owner came and got him out he had very long ears. Now he said to his friends I can hear better and have some privacy. His owner needs to be A Apple in the eye. THe moral is that if you think your parents are to secure on you they just don't want anything bad to happen to you.

Once upon a time there were a basset hound called Rocky. His owner whistled for Rocky to come and get ready for hunting. Rocky didn't came. Instead his owner came to him. Rocky woke up. His owner was all ready to go hunting so there they went. His owner followed Rocky all around but, then he ran straight to BARKING. His owner sighed" He's just lost his hearing." They went back home. Rocky was really mad because he just couldn't hear. So Rocky went to go visit his friends on the farm were he lived. Rocky's friends were a horse named Hannah, a beagle named Ace, and a cat named Hayley. Rocky said " You guys, I have a problem I can't hear very well because of these short ears." Looks like we have a mystery to solve!" remarked Hannah. " can you guys please help me at all?," asked rocky. Nay!" Said Hannah." Com'on please!" questioned Rocky. "I'm in, Me too, Nay means Yay!!! All the animals replied." Great!!!!" Rocky Barked. " So how are you going to help me?" asked rocky." I got it" Said Ace. So he told them the plan. They went right to it. Ace made sound behind a bush. Rocky had to point to were the sound was coming from. That helped but, didn't cure. So they thought they'd call it a day. The next day he went hunting again. Right when Rocky wondered around and got a smell. He barked again but, Rocky got trapped in a avalanche. Rocks tumbled down all around Rocky. A bolder fell on his short stubby ears. Rocky pulled as hard as he could. All his ears did was stretch. Rocky knew he had to get out of the avalanche. So he pulled himself free. He knew his ears hurt so bad that he got to his owner who met him at the end of the avalanche. The owner picked Rocky up and rushed to the hospital. The got him cured. They didn't know what kind of dog he was until the owner explained what happened. Rocky got home safe and sound. His owner got interviewed on the paper and on the news. Rocky thanked his friends. " We didn't do anything though". replied Hayley. "Yes you did, you made me fight to live for you. That's what you did!" Yelled Rocky. Now Rocky can have privacy and can hear very well now. The moral is That you should trust your good friends, even though they might think the did something wrong they might of helped you a lot. That's how the basset hound got it's long ears.

What we've done this week is a lot of writing to the Missouri kids and commenting on their blogs. It's really fun and it makes me happy that I can do things others to get a chance to do. Last week we did work on a legend/fable. I wrote about how the basset hound got it's long ears. We edited it and the Missouri kids commented on our legend to make it better, so people can understand it better. I love writing so it helps on what I should describe better and what i should do a lot better too! We also did Current Events that we had a link to go to the page, so you could read the rest of the article, and make it have proof that you did it. That's mostly what we did over the past weeks.

They had a classroom in a big sky-blue bus painted with white fluffy clouds. That bus travels to the U.S. schools, so students can make music in there. Every year 250,000 kids climb aboard. The kids are selected by school staff members to spend a whole day, to make music. In the morning they spend it writing and recording their songs. The engineers make sure all the kids get to try all different activities. Singing and more. They want the kids to do what they want to do. Read more at:
I'm am doing good in the new colony. There are very big industries in the new colony. The biggest one is fishing and building. We eat a lot of fish here. Some times people had to live on fish. We imported a lot of cloth, metal, glass, and machines. The farmers barely grew enough crops to feed themselves. as a result many turned to the sea to make a living. Waters off the coast were among the richest fishing areas in the world. So many began cutting there own trees so then they could build there own boat because it was so expensive. Fishing and shipbuilding helped create other industries in New England. Some New Englanders said that goods could only be exported.

Three white tiger cubs were out in the Buenos Zoo in Argentina. They were out in the wild exhibit playing while a big crowd of grown ups and kids watching them. Zoo speaker Ana Maria Pirra said that this is there first day out. They were born on December 23rd. At birth they were a little over 2 pounds. Now each weigh at least 13 pounds.

Zoo officials are especially proud of the new cats they’re getting. White tigers are very rare. Tigers are endangered; an estimate is about 5,000 to 6,000 live today in the wild. From 100,000 at the start of the 20th century. So I think we need to do things to help the tigers.
The Zoo needs your help to name the cubs. Young visitors write a name down along with contact information. Pulling three names out will choose the cub’s names. Each of the winners will be godmother and godfather to a cub said Pirra.

Dear Diary,
I’m traveling with families. I’m an indentured servant. I was recommended as a schoolmistress. I’m only staying an indentured servant for only three years. I was also one of the ones who were treated nicely. Lots of African’s were sent to the European colonies. They were sent there to become slaves. At least half of the people who came to North America came as indentured servants or captives. Wars and poor harvest had weekend many parts of Europe. Captive and indenture servants were sent to Europe because that to pay the price of their passage to the colonists to work for the money. Some indentured servants had hard lives with bad treatment. Some ran away from their employers to escape such treatment. When Africans are sent to be slaves that’s called slave trade. I wrote an autobiography on being a schoolmistress. That tells more about me being a schoolmistress and how much the children appreciated me.

Hi, I’m William Penn I want to share with you how I started the colony of Pennsylvania. In 1681 King Charles the 2nd granted me land in the Middle Colonies. Back then I was in the Quaker group. The Quaker was a religious group who's nickname came from there belief's that people should " Quake before the power of the Lord." We had to go to jail because of are beliefs. I wanted to establish a colony that we could practice their religion and freedom. My group called the themselves the Society if Friends. The society of Friends was started by George Fox in England. He told us that in order to know God, they had to listen to his voice in their heart. We didn't need the ministers to rely on. My plan was to base it on Quaker's beliefs. In 1682 I arrived in North America with about 100 men colonist. I named the colony Pennsylvania, which means" Penn's Woods." My settlement was called Philadelphia. In Greek, that men" the city of brotherly love." I planed to have Pennsylvania be a place for peace, where people would treat each other fairly. I believe that Lenni Lenape who was also known as the Delaware should be included in my plan. I wrote a letter to Lenni Lenape that said That everyone could " live together as neighbors and friends. Unlike a lot more people. I paid the Native Americans for their land. I tolerated from a lot more people who wanted slavery.

2nd Quarter reflections -- 01-29-07

   1) What talents (new or hidden) have you learned / discovered about yourself this past semester?
I learned that I had to work very hard to succeed on papers// work. I needed to read the questions carefully so I get the answer right or understand it.

2) Describe one goal that you set for yourself in September. What steps have you taken? Where and how have you met that goal? Where and how have you fallen short? And how will you proceed toward that goal in the third semester?

My goal was to do a lot better on Math because I got frustrated on it. The reason I did was that I wouldn't take my time on the question so I wouldn't get it right. I met the goal wen i kept on getting bad grades on math test and worksheets. I would proceed the goal by paying attention more and reading more the question carefully.

3) What would be your thoughts about having to do projects in every subject? In what ways would project-type assessments more difficult, interesting, challenging, or meaningful than traditional ways of showing what you know?

I would like it because it would be fun but I thought you could have like a little quiz. Not a test but a review on each subject so people still know what's happened in the year. Even if you want to you could use some of the same test so people are paying attention to the test just not doing the test.

4) Think back to a time over the past half year when you faced a challenge or made a big mistake. (a bad grade on something, letting your missing work pile up until the last minute, etc.) What sorts of lessons did you learn about yourself from that challenge and/or mistake? How did this influence the way you did things after that moment? In what ways does this experience help you to plan for third quarter?

I learned that homework coupons help but you shouldn't give them out to people who don't do there work. You should give them to kids who went on vacation to get them caught up. I also learned that it's a lot better when you get it done before time so your ahead of the gang. The goal I reached was to do better position papers and I did it.

5) Based on your answers to the questions above, how do you wish to grow / change as a student / person second semester? What steps do you have to take to achieve that growth?

The steps I would want is to achieve a lot of my goals by: 1] Taking my time in all subject. 2] To ask if I need help with a question instead of bothering my friend Hannah. And step 3] Was to talk to my parents to help me with things I Just don't get if I didn't have time to ask the teacher.

  A walk in the forest -- 01-25-07

It was the middle of the day, hot and I had to get out of my cave. So I went on a nice walk. I’d been traveling for days. I went to get some water by the river. It was about a mile long to the river. Finally, I got there. The water felt so good in my hairy stomache. I was gazing at the water then, I herd a lot of clopping noises. I looked every direction. Then I decided to go back home because I was kind of scared. I started to walk back to my home but, I turned then I saw a hairless ape. I was really scared because the creature was pointing a thing directly at me. I was nevous ‘cause it looked like they were going to shoot me with it. I said to myself just stay calm don’t run or they might shoot. I was mad because I had to go the bathroom really bad. The creatures probably got to excited from being hairless apes. I looked back one more time and this time the were pointing it at the ground picking up something. Thank God the weren't pointing that thing at me any more. I got home I whipped the sweat off my forehead. I said to myself “ That was a close one.”

Loony Zoo
Hi, my name is Stepheny. We are going to the zoo today. My favorite animal is the Arctic Fox. I’ve been waiting for April 16th. “ Miranda” my mom called. “ It’s time to go.” I ran out to the car. It felt like a 13 hour drive but it was really not that long. Finally we got there, I ran out of the car to the ticket booth. I forgot that I didn’t have any money. We got in, It took about 3 minutes to get in. We saw the monkey’s, one of them ate the others bugs. “Yuck” I exclaimed. After seeing the Giraffes,Bears, Walruses, and a lot more animals. Finally we got to the arctic fox. I loved it because it was play time. I went to see how he was doing it. HE picked me up and put me inside, I was scared. I went into the cave. There was all these little pups. One of them came towards me. It didn’t bite me. We spent a lot of time together. I named him Aaron. The question I ask myself is would I stay there? The answer is YES! I love it there. My parents came and got me. The Zoo told me I could come and take care of him until he is big. The End!

Dear Queen of Netherlands,
I congratulate you for what Henry Hudson has found. Like the Hudson River. I’ve heard that he felt sure the river was the Northwest Passage. Hudson called it the” Great River of the Mountains.” I’m so sorry that he failed but his voyage led to the beginning of trade between the Dutch and the Native Americans. That’s a big difference just not failing and that was it. Henry Hudson voyage showed Europeans about how much important things are around the North Americans of the Atlantic coast. Hudson’s voyage also showed if you fail at something you can still discover awesome facts and things that nobody has ever realized in their whole life. Well I hope you realized all of the things Henry Hudson’s voyage led to and what happened. He discovered a lot of things that you’ve never noticed. So, I just wanted to congratulate you and I hope you realized you are very lucky.

Sincerely,
Queen Elizabeth
