Today i made a website on how to build a rocket! I used flash to make the title and i used a video to show people how to build one too.

In web design we had a project we had to do. The purpose of this project is to make a story come to life. We had the choose to make a book on either book creator, scribble press, or my story apps on the ipad. Also a coding part on a website called Codecademy. Another part of tthe project was to create an animation using flash. We also needed to create a game on SketchNation on the ipad. We could also create a video on the showme app. Lastly we had to write post blogs everyday.

First i made a book on the Book creator app. I did my book on penguins. I thought it would be an interesting topic to write about. I put alot of images in the book and alot of great infomation. I also made sure that cited all the sources where i got my infomation. I need to finish the table of content and publish my book. This part of the project would be 30 pts.

Secondly i did the coding part of the project. I completed the course thats called FizzBizz project. Then i completed the the course called More with Html class. Lastly i completed an additional codecademy course. This part of the project would be 30 pts.

Then i made an animation on flash. The animation i made tells the story of Humpty Dumpty. i was going to add sound but flash stopped working for me. This part of the project would be 30 pts.

Then i made a game called PenguinPower. You have to get the penguin to the finish line without being hit by a angry whale. I made this game on an app called SketchNation on the ipad. This part of the project would be 20 pts.

Lastly i wrote a blog everyday to show what i finished and was working on. This part of the project would be 10 pts.

If i got the maxium amount of points on this project i would get 120 pts.

For this project i completed the coding (30pts), flash animation (30pts), a game (20pts) and the blog posts (10pts). I'm almost done with my book. All i have to do is the table of contents and it would be done. That would be another 30 pts. So if i do the math correctly it would equal 120 pts. YAYYY!

This app is an interactive book about a writer who wrote about everything, like my friend taylor swift! Back to the story, there is a big storm and all the writers books got destoryed and he becomes sad! One day he was walking and sees a girl who tells him to go somewhere where the books "nest"! To hear the ending of the story buy the app on your iPad! This app was really cool and it was very fun to interact with it! It reminded me of at the beginning of like all fairy tales where they have a giant interactive book that reads you the story! Oh! But if you are a kid the voice might be scary!!!! Ha ha I was just kidding! Have fun with you new app!

Today in class we are working with iPads! I love them I think they are so cool! Butthe point of this blog is to write a review of the app Six Strings! This app allows you to play the guitar, ukulele, drums, and so much more! If I had an iPad I would get this app! If you have an iPad you should get this app.

If you were driving from Moline High School and drove west for six hours where would you be likely to stop? How about south? East? Now choose your favorite of the three spots and why.

If you drive 6 hours East you will end up in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Are you lovin' it with Mcdonalds or Eatting Fresh with Subway? Well for me the answer is Subway. Subway is a whole alot better for you than Mcdonalds. Well the real question is should people be allowed to eat what they what and is the food they choose to eat slowly killing them. Recently there has been a rumor about the pink slime in the meat at Mcdonalds. Is that slowly killing you? Back to the first question i think people should be able to eat what you what and the choice should be ultimately yours! Earlier today i watched a video that is about tricking you mind with magic. Keith Barry is a magician that uses magic to trick your mind. The first trick he does is was a hand trick where at the end you have to turn your hands to the normal position. Next he drove with a blindfold on and said he was eyeing thought the girl in the car next to him. Next he asked for two people to help him with a trick with vodo. Lastly he does a trick with cups and you will not believe what happens.

I got better at coding in general, before this class i didn't know how to code. I also got better at changing pictures because before this class i didn't know how to do it.

I added a hat, mittens and fixed his nose and eyes.

I need to improve on coding faster and how to make tables and charts.

Some people think that If you wear pj's to school that you are lazy! BUT THEY ARE WRONG! I think people should be able to wear pj's in school. Slippers are awsome and they should be allowed too. AND YES PICKLES ARE GREEN! The only place they should not be allowed is work!! :)

Today i went on a website that allowed me to draw a stick man and put him on an adventure. He had to climb up a tree! He runs into a tiger and you have to draw a costume on him so he can get passed the tiger! After you get passed the tiger you find a elevator in the tree to get you to the top to save the kids stuck in the tree.

This website is a good website because it keeps you on it. This website is an interactive with it good because most websites aren't interactive which is boring.

We watched a video because jansens creatures we also played games. After that we had to answer some questions and these are it:

3^rd world farming is a game that takes you in a world of a farmer. It makes you grow crops and take care of animals. You need to keep alive and to make money. This game teaches you what it is like to live in a 3^rd world country.

3D Architecture is a website that shows you how to create a 3D version of a house. You can add rooms and furniture to them. You can add windows and doors so you can get out of the house. This game teaches you how to create a 3d version of a house.

Another assignment i had to do is to evaluate different websites. After i did that i was asked to evalute my school website and write a letter to the principle to tell her is the website is bais or not. Also if it is accessible for people with disablities and if it could be accessible to people who are blind.

Here is my letter to the principle:

Dear Mrs. Goodrich,

I was evaluating Seymour High School Website. I was evaluating the site for design bias, usability, and accessibility. Personally I think you have a good website but you can change a few things to make the website more user friendly and more accessible for people who have disabilities. Your website is not bias. It doesn’t say words like girls are better or boys are better. It’s doesn’t say we are that best. But it could use some help with usability and accessibility. If I wasn’t able to read or use a mouse I wouldn’t be able to use this site. You could make the website so that if you go over a word it would say it. Overall this site is has no bias and it is easy to use and access.

I have been working with firework. It is a program that allows you to fix pictures and make them the way you want them to be. You can change the colors and add text. It is a really cool program and you such learn how to use it.
