foce of friction -- 05-16-12

In 6.1 we measured how many surface types we could pull blocks across and get data to pare up with what other groups got.
In 6.2 we measured if a bigger load would change the data we got from 1 block.
In 6.3 we measured the other sides of the blocks (the sides) and see what data we got.

what I learned about controlled variables is they are surface types and distance and speed and slope and weight.we controlled them by carefully using them like the surface types we kept them still and all the rest we kept the same but weight we changed that by putting more blocks on.

Hi so you want tol learn about our jobs well im in pH. It stands for potential of hydrogen (yes i rememberd).what i learned is that 0,1,2,3,4,5 is not so good 6,7,8 is good (7 is sorta the best to get) 9,10,11,12,13,14 is bad anything above 8 is bad because if its not 6,7,8 then the fish will die and we dont want that. There are other jobs other than pH : there is flow rate, ammonia, nitrates, temperature, dissovled oxygen, turbidity

Water pollutoin -- 10-18-11

Are you ready to know more about water and its pollution? Here are some ways to prevent water pollution. Polluting water is not ok it kills lots of sea animals and some animals can get the polluted water or other chemicals that if we eat then we could get really sick or die from it. Water pollution is bad for the environment and the world. Be careful what you put down the toilet and sink it could get in the water and kill lots of helpless sea animals. We can prevent water pollution by cleaning up the beaches and waters dont throw things in the water. If you can help the animals dont put sewage and litter and other things that could hurt the animals. you're not hurting others your hurting yourself.
Water pollution is not cool it hurts people and your killing fish and turles and whales. Think about it you're with you're family and you go out whale watching and you dont see a single one and you know that you through out garbage and litter the reason why you don't see the whales is because of you killing with the garbage and the litter driving them away making them never return to that place.
Clean up the beaches try to get as much garbage out of the water as you can and dont swim 400 ft to get a piece of garbage stay were you are and dont mind if that is the only piece of trash left you did good and you dont need to get that piece leave it and be happy you got all but one the fish are safer because of you. now if it is an oil spill like the one going on right now help out if you can. Worry about the fish and the birds.
Make sure the water and beaches are clean no litter on the ground or in the water. Make sure there is no glass or trash. If someone is littering tell them to please stop and if they dont. Be nice and pick up the trash for them gest make sure the water is clean and the beach. sea turtles think that plastic bags are jellyfish and eat them they choke and die thats not ok so clean up and help our friends in the water thanks for lisening and hopefully learning see you on my next blog. Goodbye!!!!
