Final Pioneer Diary Entry -- 05-10-12

Dear Diary,

Ever since my family and I left home I have been dreaming of Oregon. If only my son could be with me. I still remember the screams of my son drowning. The nightmare haunts me and yet there is more to come.

I have made a few friends over the trail. One of them was James. He was a good fellow, very kind and nice. I still remember a lot of events like when Paul Brian's son died.

We had to make a lot of important decisions, like when we had to decide on which trail to take. The most important (maybe last) decision we had to make was when we hit Snow Pass. There was a lot of arguing because if we get to Snow Pass too late the whole trail will be buried, and we will be trapped. There was a lot of yelling. Some said we should go back to Paradise. Others said we should just head directly to Snow Pass. We finally decided on sending scouts (Paul Brian and I) ahead to see if the pass is clear or not.

I expect good things to happen next. This may be my last diary entry of my life, so whoever is reading this, good luck and always stay strong.

Hello, I have been recently recruited by NASA. I got a message. It said NASA has been looking for someone to work on their navigation team. The whole reason why this was created was for the seven astronauts who lost there lives while flying to space.

Being part of the navigation team I had to do a lot of things. I had to determine the landing site for the space ship. I had to find out if the high land or low land is a good place to land the ship.

Really the most important part was finding the landing site because if I didn’t find a good site my team wouldn’t know where to launch the probe.

For me, the hardest part was finding the right coordinates. I had to calculate and do a lot of math.

Even though things were hard, I still had a good time.

2012 The End of World -- 01-25-12

2012 The End of World

According to the Mayans and Michele Coe, the world will end in 2012. Signs that the world will end is when it is raining milk, war, and disease.
If it was to happen here is a video to survive it:

Friendship -- 01-24-12

Friendship

The story “The Other Side” is about two girls who are two different races. The two girls are next door neighbors, but in that time black and whites could not be together so there was a giant fence that separated the two girls. Then one day the black girl ran up to the white girl and said hi. Then they started to hang out. Eventually they became friends.

When I reread “The Other Side,” I thought it was all about friendship. In the story the two girls wanted to be friends, but they couldn't be friends because they were two different races. Also, when one of the girls was playing jump rope, the white girl came to play, but the black girl’s friend rejected the white girl's friendship. In the end, the girls became friends. In the story I learned a message: In life it doesn’t matter who you are, but you can always make friends.

This story relates to my life when I was in kindergarten. Back when I was five, I had no friends. Then I met a kid named Vicente. We were both different in many ways, but just like the two girls, we became friends.

So if there is someone that you don’t like, who knows, you might like him/her. So what are you waiting for, go talk to him/her!

Bloody Head -- 11-28-11

Bloody Head

If you’re wondering why I would be looking at a closet with a hole and a little red stain, here’s the story.

It all started when we were having a race in a place called KEEPS, and this girl was ahead of me. I wanted to tap her on the back and say, “I give up.” But instead of that, I she ran headfirst into the closet. (At least she won the race.)

Suddenly there was only silence in the room. Then there were gasps in the room. Staff was running to the kitchen, trying to find a wet cloth. She cried a very high pitched sound. The smell of tears and blood stung my nose. Luckily, the October wind blew the smell away. I looked at her face. It was beyond what my eyes could handle.

“What happened,” she said.

Nobody said a word.

“Well” she said impatiently.

It was a brutal sight to look at her. I wanted to go to a different room, but guilt weighed me down.

Seeing her head made me feel scared.

Now I will always be carful of my actions. Safety is always first.

Meanest thing: When I was accused of farting in library.

Best memory: When I'm sleeping. I’m very lazy

Favorite meal: Chicken patties. They taste like actual chicken.

Best field trip: BOCES. It was very educational.

Bloody Head -- 10-26-11

If you’re wondering why I ended up looking at a closet with a hole and a little red stain, here’s the story.

It all started when we were having a race. This girl was ahead of me. I wanted to tap her on the back and say, “I give up” but instead of that she ran headfirst into the closet!

There were gasps in the room. Staff was running to the kitchen trying to find a wet cloth. She cried a very high pitched sound. The smell of tears and blood stung my nose. I looked at her face. It was beyond what my eyes could handle.

“What happened,” she said. Nobody said a word.

“Well?” she said impatiently. It was a brutal sight to look at her. I wanted to go to a different room but guilt weighed me down.

Seeing her head made me feel scared. Now I will always be carful of my actions. Safety is always first.

Woolly Mammoth -- 09-26-11

20,00o years ago there were these creature called the woolly mammoths.

They were vegetarians so they didn’t eat any meat. Every day they would go outside and get food. To get food they would have to put their trunks on the ground and had to swing side to side until the snow was gone and they could pick up the food.

Usually when the mammoths were traveling they attacked by predators like wolfs and saber tooth tigers, but they usually only attacked the young or sickly. They rarely attacked a full grown mammoth.

There are different kinds of mammoths, but they all evolved by the Ancestral mammoth. Then the ancestral mammoth evolved in the steppe mammoth and the Columbia mammoth. Later the steppe mammoth evolved into the woolly mammoth. That’s how the woolly mammoth was created.

Going to China -- 09-26-11

After school is over and summer starts I go to China. This year I went on the plane all by myself.

I met three other kids who were going to China by their selves. They all spoke English and Chinese. We both talked to each other for a really long time. Three hours passed and there were still nine hours or more left. So I was playing my iPod touch for like 30 minutes when the guy sitting asked me if could play. I said yes so he spent one hour playing on my iPod and wasted 50% of my batteries.

Later lunch came. I had pork with rice and a horrible cheesecake. Then the guy who I let play my iPod let me play his DS. His was fully charged so I barley wasted any of his batteries. After he and I finished bugging the person in front of us I let him watch a movie on my iPod touch. Before I knew it my iPod went dead. Bored to death, I fell asleep for what I thought was a three hours nap. I woke to find myself being woken up by the flight pilot. He said the plane ride to China was over.

I got my suit case and waited at the pick up area. Finally I saw my sister waving to me. I ran to her and gave her a big hug. Then I told all about how my flight going to China was really awesome.
