This One's for You -- 05-04-12

     For this our love has ever been so groomed, so smooth? What if this is a lie and our love is not so groomed so smooth? This is not just a romance, but a journey into my life. The song “this one’s for you – Of Mice and Men” the meaning of this song is about two lovers that describe their love like Romeo and Juliet.

Saying “I’ll be the Romeo and you play the Juliet.” The song describes how he will be nothing without her, and that it’s not just a book he read, its reality, and that she will forever be in his heart. That she is so beautiful “so bright so bright.” That he’ll show her a heart that will never fail.
I agree that the allusion is clear in the song “this one’s for you – of mice and men” it does make you see what the song is talking about. It does catch your emotions, your eye in the song. The accuracy was dead on.
This was a amazing song to choose as a allusion, and relate the play Romeo and Juliet, by taking quotes from the play and putting them into their song, and also putting their names into the song. It also really described them, their love for each other, and also making it emotional, and visual.
Have you had the time to think things over?
the time to wonder whats the next move?
Ever been surrounded by the dead.
Dieing over and over?

Every second;
I think of these memories that lay in my hopeless mind
Every minute;
We use to lie under these stars watching the world go around.
Spinning in circles;
Lost, not knowing where to go.
Blindfolded and delirious.
Trying to hit this piñata, but no luck what’s so ever.
Every hour;
I’m lost in these nightmares of the untold secrets
These secrets haunt my every moment;
For where it leaves me waking up screaming in the darkness.
Every day;
I lay here in this infested room
Where I crawl to the corner.
I curl up in a ball;
Hoping this dreadful feeling will go away, but we know it will never go away.
For I am death, because
These moments,
These memories,
Every second I wish something could relieve this curse.
Ever minute I kill another with the touch of my finger.
Every hour I scream for forgiveness.
Every day I die alone.
It’s all the same.
It never ends;
It never ends..
Death By Love?

In these shadows of darkness am I here by myself? Will I live in fear of finding another? There are so many questions. Do I have the time? who knows..

Excuse me love, sorry for the inconvenience, but may I have this dance?..
(Months pass, memories crash and burn into ashes;
For this shall be suicidal love).

For my memories shall lay in peace;
For my thoughts shall rest.
Under anesthesia where I must lay in these forsaken grounds;
Where we dig my shallow grave under this rotting oak tree;
Woken up from the lack of oxygen;
Clawing at the surface of the locked casket;
Looking into the dark;
Facing my fear of being buried alive;
Soon shall take my last breath.
The crows sitting on my grave stone
Which over years it crumbles to nothing
Where the maggots etching to find a way into my casket to eat my rotting flesh;
For after all the months without sleep,
I shall sleep forever
We sleep forever

Characteristics of Mr. Dark -- 01-20-12

Extra Credit

Characteristics of Mr. Dark
Through the thought process, have you ever tried to read, or figure out Mr. Dark’s characteristics? Tried to figure out his ways? Here’s my summarization of finding the characteristics of Mr. Dark in the book Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury. Mr. Dark has many characteristics. The top three characteristics are powerful, evil, and freaky. He has a powerful characteristic because he controls the carnival. Freaky because he manipulates Will and Jim, and finally evil, because of how he threatened Mr. Halloway to stop his heart.
Mr. Dark is the freak with the leashes! He knows what strings to pull, and when to pull them. He is the alpha male of the carnival! Want reasons? Well, as Mr. Dark stood in the middle of the meadow. He made one gesture, and the train came to life! Like in the book ‘’All dark suit, shadow faced, he walked to the center of the meadow… He gestured once, and the train came to life’’ (Bradbury 52). Along with the carnival, Mr. Dark controls the freaks in the carnival. Every Freak Mr. Dark has in the carnival is on his body as a tattoo. “Mr. Dark and his mob of illustrations surged forward on the pine platform a jungle beneath each arm, and Egyptian viper scrolled on each bicep... and strange monsters gaped their fang’s from his chest, a Cyclopes with a novel for a squinted moron eye twitches on his stomach as he strobes” (Bradbury 110,111). Also the showing of the leashes that he holds “the freaks leaped in a frolic of shock, then calmed as the carnival owner continued with great ease, patting and soothing his own illustrations, which patted and soothed the freaks’’ (Bradbury 111).
Another characteristic is evil. Mr. Dark is evil because he was trying to find the boy’s. Mr. Dark threatens Mr. Halloway, Will’s dad, that if he doesn’t tell him where Will and Jim are that he’ll have the Dusk Witch give him a heart attack. “One of my friends, outside can fix you so it seems you died of most natural heart failure’’ (Bradbury 210). Also, Mr. Dark told Will that he put his mom on the carrousel and made her very old, so that Will would come out of hiding. ‘’William… Where’s your mother tonight? She was out riding the night wind… We put her on. Around. We left her on. A year, another year… around’’ (Bradbury 216). Then, Mr. Dark found Will and Jim. Mr. Dark, Will, and Jim saw Jim and Wills Moms outside going into the church, Will’s mom was perfectly fine. Then Will realized that Mr. Dark was bluffing. Will screams, and then Mr. Dark mocks him. Then Mr. Dark says to Will ‘’we’ll let her in?’’ Then Will starts to scream saying ‘’mom, come save us!” “Mom, Will screamed… Mom, Mr. Dark mockingly, Come save us… Well Let her in. Will strangled a sob. No. no. no” (Bradbury 221-222).
Mr. Dark is freaky! Mr. Dark controls the carnival, so he controls all the rides, and all the freaks that are involved. What’s freaky is that Mr. Dark can live forever! This is implied because he has the carousel, and he can go backwards however many years he wants to. So he can stay young forever! Another example of his freaky characteristics is when the Lighting Rod Salesman is walking down the street, he passes Mr. Halloway’s shop, and see’s the most beautiful women, and it reminds him of all the beautiful women he’s ever seen. Well that attracts him, so he touches the door, and it opens up by its self, and then he steps in and it closes. ‘’The Lightning-rod salesman stood there for a while… His hand touched the shop door. It swung open… He Stepped in. The door shut’’ (Bradbury 45) Then there is where Mr. Dark is looking for Jim and Will. He is looking for them, and it describes how he stalks, tippy toes trying to find them which is really freaky. ‘’Immensely patient that soft voice, ever the warmest friends to chilly creatures burrowed away, nested amongst dry books; so he scuttered, crept, scurried, stalked, tip-toed, wafted, stood immensely still among the primates’’ (Bradbury 215). The last reason why Mr. Dark is freaky is when he shows Mr. Halloway Jim and Will’s faces on his palms. “The Illustrated Man thrust out his hands… Tattooed in bright blue ink, Will’s face gazed up at him from the palm of the right hand… The left palm, Jims face was indelible and natural as life’’ (Bradbury 17)
As I stated that Mr. Dark is a powerful, evil, and freaky man. He tried to manipulate Will and Jim, threatened Mr. Halloway, lured The Lightning-rod salesman, completely controlled the carnival, and all that was associated with the carnival. Now that you read my essay, do you have a different thought process of Mr. Dark?
What do you think of in November? Think of corn fields in the middle of the night with a freaky scarecrow in the middle. the corn fields go on for miles.
What to think?
What to do?
When the scarecrow comes for you!
What to hear?
Where to hide?
Everywhere I go
He always finds me.
Hiding in the shadows of the corn field
Screaming? Yelling
He’s only in my head!
He has to be!
How could it be real?
Running in terror.
Screaming bloody murder.
There’s no way out.
When you see the scarecrow never scream!
Cause he’ll rip your tongue out...
Freak on the Leash
Rachel murdered Brunton! Follow the trail with Sherlock Homes in, The Musgrave Ritual, and find the clues about why Rachel murdered Brunton. she was mad, and angry at him, and how she was insane!
Rachel hated Brunton! Rachel hated Brunton because she was madly in love with him, and he left her for another girl. Another reason why I say she hates him is that she left him to die in a cellar. She kicked the piece of wood that was holding the rock, and he suffocated in the cellar. Also that she didn’t want him with another girl. That’s another reason why she killed him, and why she hated him.
Rachel did it on accident! She couldn’t pick up the rock because it’s so heavy and she was scared! She didn’t kill Brunton on purpose! She didn’t tell anyone, and she is the one that kicked the wood to lock him in the cellar to die.
Rachel was insane! Two quotes from the story saying Rachel was insane are. “You should be in bed, “I said.” Come back to your duties when you are stronger” (Doyle 7). “She looked at me with so strange an expression that I began to suspect that her brain was affected” (Doyle 9). She killed Brunton because he left her for another girl, and that caused her to go crazier.
You have followed the trail, and found the clues why Rachel murdered Brunton. Rachel did murder Brunton. Trust me, because I’m a good student and I read the story with reading between the lines technique, and understood the story of “The Musgrave Ritual.”
Theme

Theme of the story is: You can't really trust anyone unless you really know them, and know their personality, and their actions to everyday life.

How Theme applies to the story: You don't know if the Djinn is good or evil in the story.

How it applies to real life: Meeting new people seeing if they are nice or mean. To see if they are friendly or ignorant; to see the good and bad in people

Poem I Made! Muhahahaa;b -- 09-23-11

This isn’t happening, this isn’t happening, this isn’t happening!
Scream my name, Scream it loud!
Picking up the crumbs!
Cause honey! I’m coming home!
Because I’m Lost, and hopeless like my mind,
There’s ah ticking time-bomb in my hand,
Burry my corps in the sand!
I lost my mind because I’m losing you.
Look what fate brought to me!
I’m on my knees,
Begin for mercy!
Why are you doing this to me?
This isn’t over.
Don’t you see?
This is not over for you and me.

A Visual Representation of Me

Hello. My name is Brandon Rogers, and I Play Drums in a band called Astral-Projection. One thing I like is music; like I put the bands I wrestled a bear and bless the fall!

Cartman from South Park represents me. I say this because Cartman goes and does what he wants, and that’s pretty much what I do, in reason.

A book that I have a memory of is “Green Eggs and Ham” written by Dr. Seuss. It’s my favorite book because I like green eggs and ham.

My quote is “Rebel Yell” I say this because I’m a rebel! Ha-ha. Yeah, anyways! Thank you, and that is my binder!
