I personally thought that 6th grade went a lot easier for me than 7th grade did. First of all, we had a TON more homework than we did last year. Although I learned a lot, I think we could have had a bit less homework. If I could change one thing, it would be the fact that we had asigned directions for what to write in our blogs. I think we should have just wrote about something that happened durring the week in our blogs. My advice to any new 7th grader, would be to always do your blogs on time. I sadly learned that the hard way.HAVE A GREAT 7TH GRADE EXPERIENCE!

I think the field trip to international towne was a very good learning experience for all of us. I learned that having a job is a much bigger resposibility than I thought. I think the people that worked there could have been a bit more helpfull in telling us things we need to do for our job. The best part was all the stuff that we got there. That is what i think abou the experience at international towne.

World history effects our modern lives, because it influences the new ideas for inventions. I learned that gladiators were a much bigger part of Roman history than I originally thought. The most interesting part for me was that there were so many different types of gladiators. I found out that gladiators were not normal people for the most part, the were slaves criminals and captives of war.

I learned from Evan that the stone hedge was much bigger than I thought. Reed had a very cool model of a catapult that he let me fire. He told me that there were more than 10 different kinds of catapults, of mideval war machines. I had a very good time at the world history fair.

Personally, I think this book is about working together to accomplish something. I realy did not have a favorite character, but I much disliked the man who took over a huge portion of the public garden to plant his letuce just to make money for himself. I have only done one activity, which is making flowers out of tin cans with Mr. Howard, so I guess that is my favorite activity. I liked that activity a lot.

When I play basketball, my mind goes blank, and I do not think of anything exept for the ball. I do not think about school, or my plans for the day, only basketball. To me, winning or losing does not matter unless it is a very important game, like a playoff or a championship. Not a day goes by when I don't think about basketball. As you can probably tell, basketball is very important to me.

I think that dissecting the chicken wing was both interesting and gross at the same time. In my group, I was Mainly the one doing all of the cutting and slicing, while Bradley used the tweezers to pull open the cuts that I made, and to remove the skin. At one point, we cut into the wrong place, and it started bleeding all over. That is how the chicken wing dissection lab whent for my group and I.

I think that Ernest Green is very brave. If I were in his position, I would have called it quits long before Ernest graduated. The reason that I would have quit was because I would not me able to hold myself together under that kind of presure. To give you an idea of what he whent through to graduate, re-watch the movie, and watch closely to how he reacts to the actions and comments of the other white people around him. He was brave because he stood up, and pulled himself through these times. I look up to him because he did not give up thoughout what he was going though. That is why I respect Ernest Green.

These last few weeks in science class, we have been studying cells. I have learned quite a bit from this subject. For instance, did you know, that cancer is caused by infected body cells multiplying uncontrollably, and spreading to vital parts of the body? Also, some bacteria is naturally needed needed to make anti-oxidants to kill other germs. I am sure that all of us have learned at least something from this unit in science like I did.

I just finished the "Hunger Games" series, by: Suzanne Collins. It is about a girl who is sent into a death tournament, where kids between the ages of 12 and 18 are sent to an arena. In the arena they must fight to the death. The last person standing is the winner. This book is a must read for EVERYONE!!!! I recommend this to you.

My favorite sport is definitely basketball. I like this sport because it is fun and challenging. School tryouts are coming up, and I am practicing a lot for them. I hope that I can make the interscholastic team for 7th grade. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Poems can be very entertaining and noticeable. Some tools that poets use to create effect in their poems are rhyme, word choice, and rhythm. These tools are very helpful in making a good poem. They help keep your poem neat and organized. For instance, rhythm keeps a steady beat wich gives the poem an organized sound. Word choice is very important, because it is the foundation of the meaning of the poem. Rhyme helps keep a good beat too. One poem that has a lot of rhyme in it is: "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would Not Take The Garbage Out" by Shel Silverstein. This poem was very interesting because it used rhyme to descibe the large pile of garbage. Those are just some of the tools used in creating poetic effect, and keeping it.

By this I mean that if you believe you can do something, you can do it. I can apply this to my life, because I can think of multiple times were I did not think I could accomplish something, and I did not finish it. This can change someone's attitude if they don’t think they can do something, if they make a change of mind and think of this quote, it can make them happier, and more likely to succeed. This can make an impact on the world by changing people who are negative to themselves attitudes, impacting people around the world. I think this quote can change what a lot of people think of themselves and their abilities inside.

My new years resolution for this year is to work out more and stay in shape. I can do this by going to the gym a couple of times a week. In my opinion, I think that is a pretty good resolution, and a good way to keep it.

I only know some very basic things about Greece. For starters, I know that it is made up of a bunch of small city-states. I also know that it is home to the Spartans, Corinth, Athens, Argos, and Megara.
As all of you know, we have been placed into city-states in humanities. I happen to be in Corinth. Corinthians are masters in defence strategies. They do not choose sides in battles, and they are obsessed with themselves. That is what I have learned about Greece this time around in humanities. Thank you for your feedback.

Yet another oil spill has been discovered in the Great Lakes (Lake Michigan). On tuesday, October 5, federal officials and state officials received complaints from members of the puplic, that parts of Lake Huron had toxic oil caked around the shoreline at Cheboygan State Park. There was also a little bit in the waters of Duncan Bay. The coastline is home to several threatened plant and animal species, including the rare Black Turn, Pitcher's thistle, and the Dwarf Lake Iris. I think that this is very sad to see. As of now, I am reading HALO: The Flood. Right now I am at a part where the marines are invading a Covenent attack ship. I like this book because it has a lot of action in it. I tend to enjoy books with action or adventure in them. That is why I am reading this book. I would rate this book ten out of ten.

I personally think that blogging is a good social exercise for all of us. It helps us to know more about the otherkids around us. It is also a good practice for typing. As we know, not all of us are the best at typing, so this is good to help us with that. Also, it can help build character in us. This is a good thing for shy, timid people. I had a great time on the field trip to fox run park. I think that the best part was at Mr. Howard's station. The reason I say this is because I liked the game we played at the end: we hid, and the hunters had to try and find us. That was also my favorite activity as well as the deer one with Mrs. Gagnon. I liked that because it was fun and a little competetive. I learned that oganisms need to be thoroughly addapted to the climate and weather. I hope you had as good of time as I did. Bye.

I think this video is funny because the chef is doing his math wrong. He was seeing the tens place as a one. If you do this with six and fourty, you would get twenty- four, because 6*4=24, and 6*0=0. Then you add twenty-four plus zero to get the answer. (24)
