I think 7th grade went very well for me. I think that most things went well. I think that for me getting organized was not very good. I learned that some things are harder than you think. I learned that missing school is not good because you usually have homework every day.
I would try to not miss as much school next year.
Future 7th graders: make sure not to miss school too much and do your homework the day it is assigned. If you do miss school find your teachers the next day.

My guiding question was "What was the main purpose for building the Pyramids?" I learned a lot while working. I learned that when the Great Pyramid of Giza was built you probably could see it from the moon. You could see it from so far away because of the stone that was used on the outside. I think the most interesting part was learning just how big it is. It is 481 ft. tall and 756 ft wide at the base.

I also learned a lot from the other projects as well. I learned that gladiators in ancient Rome only sometimes wore full suits of armor. I also learned that the coliseum could be flooded and there would be ship battles.

I think that this book is about a community that is separated because of their ethnicity. I liked the girl that started it all because she was very daring to be planting in a place like that. I liked painting the rocks in L.A. because I could make it however I wanted it to be.

I am so happy that baseball is starting up again. So far we are 3 and 2. We had a double header yesterday and we won both of the by 1 run. In the first game I tied the game up with a single with an error so I got to second. Then my freind tony hit me in with another single with an error. I have another game tuesdayI can't wait to play more baseball..

When we watched The Ernest Green Story I could not believe what happed to those poeple.I have aalways belived that all people are equal. It doesn't matter what your skin color is. I wish all those people back then could have realized that a lot sooner. I could not have stood there and take all of those beatings without fighting back a little. I really admire what the Little Rock Nine did. There are no cases of desrimination theat I know of today.

The Freezer is a very cold monster.
It has ice cube eyes.
Icicle choppers, arms, and fingers.
A snow body, head, and legs.
This monster can freeze anything.
Fire does not affect it.
Only steaming water is its weakness.
The water melts it.
It was first spotted in Greenland.
It has multiplied and is spreading around the world.
No one is safe.
Run if it is seen.
The Freezer will freeze everything and everyone.
It is very slow.

I thought the dissection was fun. I didn't do much though. I had to be the writer so I did not much dissecting. I got to see the muscles and everything else and I learned how they work. I believe it was worthwhile to do because everyone had the opportunity to learn.

In science we have been doing a cells unit. I know that a cell is the basic unit of life. They need food and water. I think the best part was making the osmosis comic strip. I don't think there was a worst part. I have learned what osmosis is and how cancer cells become dangerous. I don't think there were any labs but there were experiments.

I have been reading the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I enjoy these books because I love cats and it is about cats. Right now I am reading Warriors Omen of the Stars book #4 Sign of the Moon. These books are about cats that live together in 4 different clans. The clans are ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. Each clan has a special trait that is unique to them. The different Clans have to protect their prey and themselves from the other Clans and a variety of other animals. In the books it usually follows Thunderclan and what happens there. On some occasions they follow other cats if they doing something very important to the plot.

The Super Bowl has just ended and the Giants won 21 to 17 over the Patriots. The game was amazing and they won on a last second batted down pass in the end zone. The commercials were also funny and the halftime show was good. I didn't care who won because I didn't like or hate either team.

I have a couple new goals for 2012. My first goal is to be more organized. My second goal is to turn in all my homework. My final goal is to work extra hard at everything I do including sports and school. Those are just a few of my goals for this year.

I choose #1 "Believe you can and you're halfway there." by: Theodore Roosevelt because it means the same as never give up to me. I could apply it to my life by working hard on everything I do like school and sports. It could make a positive change in someone's attitude by giving them hope. Like if a math test is sopposed to be really hardI could tell them they can do it. It could make an impact on the world by more things getting done. That is why I choose #1.

I think the poetry unit went really well. I liked working in a group because you only had to do part of the work. The communication was effective because we knew what to do and what everyone else was doing. We knew what we were doing and what the others were doing. We could have put more on the main page like a picture of him or our poem.

I don't know anything about Greece! I never had an interest in Greece.

In Humanities we are trying to earn points by doing things we well in our groups of 5 or 4. We made a symbol that represents us on a piece paper. We also have to roll dice to get good or bad luck. You might get 50 points per person or - 30 per person. I have had a really fun time in Humanities the past couple times.

The NBA lockout is coming to a close. The first game of the season is coming up soon. I never thought there should have been a lockout. I don't know much about it though. I hate all lockouts and I think they are a bad idea.

I'm thankful for many things. Here are some of those things:
First, I'm thankful for my family. Without my family I would not have a roof over my head or someone to pick me up when I am down. Plus, I would not have someone to play with or to joke around with.
Second, I'm thankful for my friends. Without them I would be so bored because my brother and I couldn’t play front-yard football, soccer, wiffleball or knee-hockey.
Third, I'm thankful for my education. Without that I would not have a bright future. I want to be a veterinarian so I need a good education. I don't want to be a person who mooches off my parents. I want to live.
These are the things I am thankful for.

The best mystery book I've read would be Hank the Cowdog: The Garbage Monster from Outer Space. I found this book very funny. Plus, I liked how Hank thought the raccoon was a garbage monster. This is my mystery story starter: One lonely night, Joe stood up after waking from a terrible nightmare. In his nightmare his brother was killed. His throat was slit and he died in seconds. Joe went to his brother’s room to find his brother dead. Just like in his nightmare, his throat was slit and he died in seconds. Joe wondered how he could have known how his brother died. He called the police and they found no evidence. No forced entry, no weapon, and no fingerprints. The police left. Joe was so confused and scared he could not sleep. I hope you like my mystery story starter.

Blogging has been amazing for me. First I was really confused but then I got the hang of it and blogging became easy. I don't like writing so when I can type my writing is readable. Plus, errors can be fixed without anyone knowing like when you erase something on paper.

Sometimes when veterans come home they have nothing and need help because of what they have done to serve us. They have put their life at risk to protect us and keep our freedom. We sometimes give them help but when they really need it, they get nothing. When some get home they get help and they can live. Then they get less and less and less help until they are on the street and without money.
That is my 2nd paragraph in my Always Remember essay. Are there any lines that aren't clear? Is there anything that is too long or short?

This past week the World Series has been going on. The Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals are playing. The Rangers are winning the series 3-2. The series is out of 7. Whoever gets 4 wins first wins the World Series. They have a game tonight so that might change. I don't really care who wins but I want to see a game 7.

I am reading a really good book by Erin Hunter. It is book five of the Warriors series. The main character is a cat clan called Thunder Clan but follows one cat, Fireheart. There are five clans: Thunder Clan, Wind Clan, Shadow Clan, River Clan, and Star Clan. Star Clan is the ancestors of the other four clans watching over them. I really like cats and the book is adventurist and I like adventure. Plus, things are constantly changing one bad thing after another. I'm not finished but I'm almost done.

On Tuesday I had a baseball game and my team won 7-3 against the Spartans. We kept them to zero hits but they scored on tag-ups and errors. I struck-out once and walked twice. I walk a lot because I am a lefty. Pitchers don't usually pitch well to lefties in this league. Someone on my team hit a triple! It was almost a home run. Off by around about a yard. It was our first tournament game and I was so happy we won. We stayed in the winner’s bracket to face the 1st place team.

I think that no books should be banned because we can read what we want to read. Freedom of speech falls into this because writing books is a type of speech. We all have the choice to choose whether we can find flaws in a book or just read it for fun. I think no books should be banned because some people might want to read that kind of book but if it is banned they can’t. Those are just a few ideas I have on the banning books.

I also had a lot of fun at Fox Run Park. I thought the best part was the team activities. Especially the island crossing because I had lots of fun and my team did really good and we won also. I learned that camouflage is essential and if you are wearing a bright coat or sweatshirt how get found easily. Also you need shelter, food, and water to survive not just food and water. That was an awesome field trip.

That video was funny and here is what I thought about it. I saw that the guy that was explaining was trying to use the tens as ones. Other numbers you could use are 8*15=48 because I did what he did on a peice of paper. That second guy knew what he was doing but he couldn't get through to the first man.

I thought the assembly was very moving. I also believe that everyone should be as nice as they can be to each other. I will try to be nicer and be more encouraging. Yes I think it was needed and effective because now everyone is being nicer. I took away that you need to live life to the fullest because it can end at any moment.
