Hey, there people! This is skippy6289. Guess what? My friend JeterGirl is on Google. She is also on Google images. Here is the picture. She made it a long time ago. She is a way better artist now. It is called Tweet, Tweet, Meow, Neigh." Here it is:

Club Getaway -- 06-19-10

Hey there everybody. This is skippy as usual, and, as most of you know, I went to Club Getaway yesterday and it was super awesome. Here is a list of things I did, and then I will write a little bit about each one:

1 the inflatables
2 zip line
3 lunch
4 dance party
5 ice cream
6 rock wall
7 supposed to do archery but did trampoline

Okay, so let me start with the inflatables. There was a boxing ring where you were in there and you had heavy gloves that were bigger than my head. There was also something where there was a giant ball and you were on little beanbag like things and you had to try to knock someone down. I did that and I felt like I was going to fall like 6 times but I kept my ground and won in the end. There was also this thing where you were attached to a large peice of string or rope or something and whenever you got to a certain point it pulled you back. I did that too but I fell on my butt every single time I did it.

Now the zip line. I was seriously nervous in the begining but once I saw JeterGirl do it and everypne else I tried. It was like you were moving at the speed of light on a little cord. I wanted to go again but we didn't have time. Most of the people in my group chickened out. That was the zip line.

Well, lunch was pretty self explanatory. Lunch.

Then in the boat house there was an awesome dance with TilyGirl and a few other teachers. I went up to the stage and danced. However SharkMan, on the other hand, was hiding. On Monday I am going to hunt him down like a dog with a freshly cooked filtet mingion and see what was up with him.

After the dance we went out to the basketball court and had some ice cream. It was one of those ones with the chocolate and the vanilla in one cup. Well, then we went to the rock wall.

The rock wall was really fun, but I barely got ten feet off of the ground 'cause I did not have my glasses, and I was kind of nervous.

Then I was supposed to go to the archery ranger but it was too far for me to walk. I brought JeterGirl where we were strapped onto a harness and we jumped really high on to a trampeline.

The only bad part about the trip was the bus. I was hoping to get a litle shut eye because it was an hour and a half ride but everyone was screaming and yelling. uggg. But otherwise it was the best field trip ever. I heard in ninth grade we get to go again, and we can stay overnight.

Hasta la pasta!

Hey, there people! This is skippy6289 ready to report something as much as a new book. This book is part of the "Candy Apple" series, and it is called Drama Queen.

I like this book because it has something for me to relate to. When I was in third grade I tried out for the play, got embarressed, and got a really small part without any speaking. And so did the main character Charlie (or Charlotte).

I think it was a good book. All in all, I liked it. Out of 10, I give it like a 6. I hope you read it, and like it as much as I did. Before I forget the author is Laura Dower.

HI, everybody! This is skippy6289 here. I am going to talk to you about a country that you probably have never heard about. The country is called Birelight. It is an island so smmall that it is not on most maps or globes because it is so small. It is right smack in the center of the Indian Ocean. The national language is British, and the religion is Gaga. Their most famous historical landmark is Mount Shoji, in other words "The Purple Mountains." Most of the people of Birelight prey to the Lord of Gaga at Mt. Shoji.

Every year iPineapple and I go to Birelight, go to Mt. Shoji every morning at 2:30 in the morning, and prey to the Lord Gaga. We also have more fun things to do such as roof top skiing the national fruit.

KFWH Student Council -- 05-26-10

Hi, there. You might be wondering what KFWH stands for. Well, it stands for "Kids for World Health." KFWH was created by third graders who wanted to help kids like them in troubled countries. Ever since then, kids like us have been helping kids in Saudi Arabia, Africa, and the Sudan. This year Student Council is helpping kids for World Health, and they are now helping someplace new: the African country Uganda on the continent of Africa. You will soon have fifth graders come to your class and show you a presentation. You will soon know more, so that is all I am going to tell you.

Skippy's Book Review #3 -- 05-13-10

Hi there everybody! This is Skippy 6289 with the latest book review on "Percy Jackson and the Olyimpians," the "Lighting Thief.". Here is one of the most popular books in the fifth grade this yearv almost everybody including me, skippy6289, has read.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, without giving too much away, is a book about a boy named Percy Jackson who has a disorder called dyslexia. He doesn't know this but he is the sun of Poseidan and throughout the book he has many adventures with Medusa, Hades, and other Greek gods from the ancient myths.

Here is what I think about the book. I believe it was one of the best books I have ever read. It was thrilling without being too scary. The author, Rick Riordan, did an absolutely splendid job on this book and hopefully the other ones in the series. I have now started the second book "The Sea of Monsters" and it is marvelous.

That is, well, all I have to say. All in all, I give the book a 9 1/2 out of 10. rating.

Tracy and her almost husband dressed up like Shreck and Fiona, green body and all.

I think it is really weird how they did it. I mean, I like the "Shreck" movies but I am not so crazy that I would spray paint myself green for my wedding. Those people are just plain weird.

11-Year Old Suffers From Rare 'Aging' Disease -- 05-03-10

Harry Crowther is just like any 11-year old except for the fact that he suffers from arthritis and gets tired quite easily. A rare, incurable genetic disease. This disease makes his body age about 5 times faster than a normal human. . This is a very sad thing because now Harry can’t be like other kids and go on bike rides and stuff he really wants to do.
I think it is a sad thing because to me after reading the article it seemed like Harry missed out on most of his childhood because of this disease. I mean imagine being 11 years old and not being able to ride your bike with your friends form your house to Jimmy’s Pizza to the school playground.
I think that this was a very well written and interesting article. What I think is very awesome but sad that this is happening to someone. I think that you should read this article for many reasons including that as I said it was written very well.

Here is a dogo news article so here it is,

Hey, there people! You know how NY gives out state tests? Well, today I just finished the fifth grade English Language Arts test, and it was so easy! The test has two parts: a listening one and a reading one. I must say that they should just put the test all in one day becasuse the second part, Listening, is only about 35 minutes long including directions and collecting the papers.

In the test there are 25 multiple choice followed by 2 short anwser questions. (That is in both books.) Then there is one editing paragraph.

Skippy's Book Review #1 -- 04-17-10

Hi there people! This week I am going to start off by reviewing a book everyone I know has read, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.

A young boy in England named Harry Potter is growing up in a horrid family with a mean uncle and aunt and a stupid cousin named Dudley. The book starts out with Harry finding out he is a wizard and his adventures and the friends he meets.

I believe this book is very well written and the author J.K. Rowling is a fantastic writer, and she really makes the characters come alive. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who asks about, including you.

I will see you next time for the next edition of "Skippy's Book Review." Don't worry, I am going to write more before ten but otherwise see you then....Wait, next week is "Not TV Week," and I am trying to keep all of the screens off. So, I have to write late next Friday (April 23rd, 2010).

Well, Hasta la lluego.

Hi there people. I LOVE Hello Kitty. You might be thinking oh, that girl is such a baby she like Hello Kitty. Well, guess what? In Japan some people (girls and boys) ride an airplane filled with and covered with Hello Kitty. It is really cool. So I am going to show you a picture of the airplane.
2+2= WAKE UP -- 04-07-10

Hi, there! Do you hate waking up in the morning? I know that I do. Now, you might be hating it even more with this Chinese alarm clock. Luckily, it is only being sold in Japan at the moment. This clock is made to wake you up. To turn off the buzzying you don't hit the the snooze button, you solve a simple math equation. You may be thinking "Oh, that is so easy." But try doing it when you are half asleep, trying as hard as you can to keep your eyes open.

I think it is really cool. I would like to try that instead of my alarm clock. That sounds like a car alarm. It wakes everyone else, including me up an running.

The White House Easter Egg Hunt -- 04-07-10

Hi, there people. You know how most people celebrate Easter? Well, so do the Obamas. This year the Obama family hosted an Easter egg hunt. They picked from over a million kids and invited a lucky few to the White House for the annual Easter egg hunt. Besides hosting some kids at their home, they hosted celebrities like J.K. Rowling and Justin Beiber. The theme for this year's egg hunt was "Ready, set, go" part of Mrs. Obama's campaign to get kids to be healthier.

I think it is really cool that they do that and that some kids get to meet the President and his family and go on an Easter egg hunt with the first kids. I would do anything to do that for myself.

See you soon,

My last Florida report -- 03-31-10

Hi there people. This is Skippy6289. This is my last report from Florida. I am going to write everything you need to know about my trtip if you didn't read my other reports. Well, just sit back relax and read.

Here is what my grandparents house was like and what went down when we were in the house. The house was a single story with a mostly open space with furniture with 2 porches. They do have a dog. It is an Irish terrier named Patrick. He is 9 years old. We have known each ohher since I was 7 months old.

Now it is time for the beaches. We went to three different beaches. One I didn't write about in my past blog so people don't go crazy or something. The beachs names were Lowder Mill, Delmar Wiggens, and here is the one I didn't write about: It was Clam Shell. It was all fun. We found like 60 shells that we found at all 3.

Now I have to say goodbye now. See you soon when I come back to school. Bye.

Hi there people. This is Skippy6289 How are you doing? Over here in Florida it is fine, nothing exciting. I am going to tell you about Yesterday (3/28/10). We went to Delmore Wiggins Beach in Bonita Springs (near Naples). We went and were shelling. We found lots of pieces of shells even a piece of shell that was stuck together. That was awesome. But sadly it broke. Nothing else was interesting about yesterday. I didn't go in the water on purpose. The reason why was it was cloudy and cold. Well, I have to go now. See you soon....

A report from Florida Part II, The beach day -- 03-27-10

Hey there people! I said I would keep posting, and I am. If you read my last story, "A special news report from Florida," you would know what I am talking about. Anyway, I went to the beach today. It was called "Lowder Mill Beach," and it was super crowded. It took my dad 5 minutes just to find a parking space when the lot was 70' wide by 90' long with about 300 parking spaces.

It was really fun. The only bad thing was that it was super crowded as you can tell, but when we left there were like 10/11 of the spaces were empty. It was in the Gulf of Mexico and the water was really warm (for an ocean anyway), and it was really full of waves. I was boogy bording with my brother. That is why I said the waves were a good thing.

Then after we left the beach we went to my grandparent's golf club and swam in there pool for 1 1/2 hour. Then we finallly got home where I took a rest and changed out of my bathing suite.

All in all, it was a good day. See you with my next repost asap. From skippy6289

Passover -- 03-20-10

If you might know, there is a Jewish holiday around this time. It is called Passover. I will tell you a small version of the story in a moment but for now let me tell you why I am writing. First because it is fun and second because for the first time ever I a not going to be at my house for Passover and a Sedar. (I will explain in a moment.)

Well, I have talked too much. I am now going to tell you a small version of the Passover story. The first thing you must know was that during the time of this story the Jews were slaves in Egypt.

Now on to the story. One day this women Merrium had a baby. It was her first born, but at that time, the first born boy was to be killed at birth. You see, this law only applied to the Jews who were slaves in Egypt. So obviously she didn't want her baby to die. So she sent him down the Nile River. Meanwhile, the Pharoh's daughter was having a bath in the river and saw the baby. She took it as her own and raised him.

Them one day the baby (who wasn't such a baby anymore) saw a Jew being beaten by an Egyptian solider. He went straight to the king and said, "Let my people go." You see, he was also Jewish so he wanted to save a fellow Jew. Moses (aka baby) kept going to the king and saying that one quote but Pharaoh wouldn't budge.

So Moses "spoke" to God and god said, "I will send ten plagues to the people of Egypt, and you mustn't warn them. I want to be a surprised."

So the plagues came. There were ten and here they are.

1. the Nile River turned to blood (no blood was really shed)

2. frogs were everywhere

3. Lice

4. Flies

5. all of the livestock had been diseased and were not able to be eaten

6. Boils. Every Egyptian broke out in boils

7. thunder and hail

8. swarms of locusts

9 darkness. No light was ever shed. No sun or anything.

10. death of the first born. Every first born Egyptian baby was killed at the stroke of midnight.

And just to let you know, after the tenth plague Pharaoh let them go. But they had no time to let the bread rise. So now they make unleavened bread (aka matzah).

Well, bye.

Mind Flex! -- 03-17-10

Have you ever heard of the Nintendo wii? Well, it was created to get people off of their butts and start exercising their muscles. Well, now Matell's new Mind Flex game is trying to do the same thing but with your minds. The game includes a headset to control the ball, a ball, and a course for you to steer the ball through.

I think that is really cool and fun. I would like to try it someday. Really! And I would have a boat load of fun. But it would also be hard because you have to concentrate really hard to get the ball to do what you want.

Kid in a Candy Machine -- 03-17-10

Do you think that it is impossible to be trapped in a candy machine? Well, think again. A young toddler, Cohen Stone, has done it before but it was in a candy machine. Unfortunately, young Cohen was too young to realize the candy he could eat. He was at a birthday party with his mother Kyra and desired to go on a little adventure. But it didn’t end so well.

I think that it is really weird that a kid could get into that candy machine, but it was still funny, cool, and sad all at the same time. But I think Cohen is lucky to be alive. I just have one wondering. I am wondering how they got him out of that machine.

Is Harry Potter Evil? -- 03-11-10

The popular book series Harry Potter is having some hubub made under it's name...some of the parents in New York, Minnesoda, Missipi, and South Carolina.

I personally think that parents want their kids to read, so if they want them to read they might as well let them read something interesting. I think it is bad they think the kids are having to choose from a limited collection of books.

On all levels of disagreement, I disagree. Well, that is what I think about the subject.

Gap turned upside down -- 03-10-10

Have you ever heard of the popular clothing store called Gap? Well, in Vancouver, Canada they are launching a new Gap line called Sprize. The line launched in late November of last year and is a huge hit. The line gives customers a 45 day refund on any sale item. Since it is upside down so is everything in the store! It took a group of 20 workers 12 hours to suspend 32 mannequins from the cieling.

I think that is really cool, mostly because Gap is my favorite store ever. It must have taken them a long time and a lot of hard work to take everything backwards. But either way it is really cool.

Sceince Test -- 03-09-10

Hi there people! This is skippy6289 as usual writing. As you can see the kids in Tillygirls class had a unit test for science. We were studying outer space, such as the planets, stars, the sun, and mostly the moon. On the first page of the test we had something like this: 11 different definitions and 11 different words. (They we not aligned in the same place. Like definition A was answer C but it was next to word 4. Do you get it?) Next we had a page with a word box and we had to name the phases of the moon under the picture. On the page after we had to name the planets in order from farthest away from the sun (weird). On the last page we just had to answer a few questions and label a diagram. That was really what the test was. Personally, I thought it was easy mostly because I studied for it non-stop.

Well, I personally think there are too many tests in school. It makes kids pressured and makes them afraid to fail. I think that most tests should stay, but I think they should eliminate some of the unnecessary ones.

Well, see, you wouldn't want to be ya.

I am so angry -- 03-01-10

Hi there people. As you can tell by the title, I am in a bad mood. I don't mean to take this out on you but this is one of the only ways I can let all of my crazy feelings out. This might sound stupid to you but here is a list of the things I am angry about.

1) Someone at my Hebrew school is really annoying and stuck bubble gum in my hair.
2) I'm bored
3) One of the kids in a different class I used to like is bugging me nonstop.
4) All of my friends (besides jettergirl3299) think I like KBROCKS which I don't.
5) My iPod went through the washing machine and now it is useless.
6) I am just bored.
7) Well, there is no seven so I am writing this.

Well, I guess I have a lot of stuff to be mad at and NOW I feel a lot better. Well, see you soon but keep checking back for some more stories that I will be writing.

Lady Gaga in barbie form! -- 02-24-10

The famous American singer Lady Gaga is known for her music, but she is more known for her outrageous wigs and costumes. Now some of the weirdest things in the world can be on your doll such as a Hello Kitty floor length gown and a Kermit the Frog dress.

This is just me, but I would never buy that for my barbie doll if I had one. I think they would look ugly and overly inappropriate. Here is a picture. For more on this story follow the Dogo news link below.

Fifteen year old Lousia Ball is just like most teenagers. She likes to hang out with friends, shop, watch movies, and sleep in. In her case, this means more than 2 weeks at a time. You see, Lousia has a very rare disease called Klein-Levin sickness or better known as Sleeping Beauty Syndrome. The one bad thing is that there is not yet a cure for the disease.

I think this is a bad and good thing for Lousia Ball. A bad thing because she is falling behind in schools very fast. But the good thing is that she can sleep as much as she wants.
Fellow students, as you know I am one of the many candidates running for student council in this class, and, as a result, I hope you will vote for me. (Only kids in Tillygirl's class can vote.) As you know, there are many problems facing our community and I want to help.

Here are some of the problems that don't reflect on the school but on the community. Some of these things include littering and the abuse of drugs and alcohol.

Here are the most important problems, the ones facing our school itself. It is litter and graffiti. Both have a negative impact on this school, and I want to change that

I am also trying to do many other things for the school.

I hope that you have understood my logic and are ready to vote for the best candidate for 5-Kelly's Student Council representative.

Thank you very much and goodbye.

What, do you guys think is it bad? I am trying to make it as convincing as possible. Thanks, bye.

Sincerely,

DOODLE FOR GOOGLE -- 02-07-10

Are you in grades K-12 and want to be a famous artist? Well, here is your chance. Google, the most used search engine in the entire world, is having it's yearly contest to see which Google sign will go onto the actual webpage. To be fair, the judges will be judging in these categories: kindergarten-3rd, grade 4th-6th grade, 7th- 9th grade, and lastly 10th- 12th grade. But even still, only one will become victorious.

The way they choose is simple, if you know what they are talking about. They are going to take the entries and each group is going to have 100 finalists (400 in total). Then from there, the 100 will be looked at together and 10 finalists will be chosen from each group (40 in total). From the forty they will only choose one from each group (4 in total). Then all of the judges look at the top four winning pieces and choose the one that goes onto the webpage.

This contest if going on all over the world so the odds of winning are very slim, but if you believe that you can draw, put your ideas on paper and go for it. Trust me, you can reach for the stars if you try. So good luck! And did I mention that the drawing will be up for a full twenty four hours? Hurry! Send them in before March 31st otherwise you can't win.

For more on the "Doodle for Google" sweepstakes go to the dogo news link attached to this article.(Look below.) You better hurry or you won't have a chance of winning.
Here is the link now go go go and have fun doodleing for google.

Hi, there people! This story is going to be about my little sister. She is seven years old and likes dancing ballet and many more. I hope you like my story.

My sister was born at 4:45 pm on June 30th, 2002 at White Plains hospital, room 504. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She also like to complain when she can. Trust me, people; she is complaining about taking a showerright now.

Her favorite color is pink and light blue. Her brother JOosh is also her twin. They were born 45 minutes apart. She likes to sleep and eat. Another thing she enjoys doing is ballet, gymnastics, swimming, and, most of all, relaxing.

Her favorite school subject is art and her least favorite is reading.

On January 29,2010 MAS had a show for the blue cast of "Guys and Dolls." The play had a fantastic cast and a great crew. They knew what they were doing, and even if they made small mistakes I don't care because the good things out number the bad. Look at the Mamaroneck Avenue School website to ses some pictures. The play had two casts: blue cast (only some shows) and red cast (the other shows). I saw blue cast, and it was fantastic as I said before.

If you were to look up at the sky on January 29,2010 you would have seen a full moon. You may have noticed that there was a little orange looking star right off to the left. Well that, my friends, was Mars.
The earthquake in Haiti -- 01-21-10

Most people have heard about The 7.1 earthquake in Haiti. Well, it is time to make a difference.

But you must make sure of this: Scam artists are on the run. They may be giving you ads, but none of the money is going to the people. So you must use a reputable charity, such as American Red Cross or other charities such as UNICEF.

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphire. There was a death toll of about 20,000 50,000 people.

What can you do to help the people of Haiti? Well, first of all, you can only give money because they can't get anything else on the ground from anywhere. It is almost phyisically impossible.

What do you think that you can do to help the people of Haiti? They are going through the crisis of a lifetime. This earthquake was good and bad at the same time. Bad because the people of Haiti are suffering, but it's also good because now they can re-build their country and give it a fresh start.

But, still, they need the money more than anything to rebuild their country. Anyway you can, it is time to make a difference in the world and the time is NOW!

A blind and deaf 6 year old plays amazing piano -- 01-19-10

Little six year old Yee Yoo Eun was born in South Korea, and was put in an orphanage. She is blind and deaf. She was adopted but is still a baby. She started playing piano while her mother was singing. She can pick up a tune just by listening to it once.

I think it is really special because she is a little girl with two disabilities. I think personally she is amazing. What do you think of that?

Kindergarden buddie -- 01-15-10

Today at school we went to go see our kindergarten buddies. WE are buddies with the kids in Mrs. Rich's class. Some of the little kids have two fifth grade buddies, but my little kid only has one and that is me! Today was pajama day so all of the little kids were dressed up in their pajamas. My partner Emily was wearing a pair of pajamas with little pink poodles on them. She looked so cute! The little kids also brought their stuffed animals. I know that this is going to sound stupid but she had a bear from "Build a Bear," and I had the exact same one! (Don't laugh it is cute and cuddly.)

When we were still up in our fifth grade classroom my teacher, Tillygirl said that we should bring our favorite book. (The ones on hand, of course. We couldn't go home and get them.) It could either be a chapter book or a picture book. I, for one, brought the book that I was reading, "New Moon." It felt like a few minutes, but it was a half an hour.

What is your favorite book?

A zero to hero -- 01-13-10

Dogs have always been called "man's best friend." However, 11-year old Austin Forman's dog Angel, is not only his best friend, but also his 'Guardian Angel' - one that just saved his life! The incident occurred at around 5.30 pm on Saturday, January 5th, when Austin was collecting firewood in his backyard in Boston Bar, British Columbia. While Angel, his 18-month Golden Retriever always came with him, she usually wandered off on her own and had to be called when it was time to go back to the house.

I think that that dog is a real hero. I would love to have a dog that is also a hero. It is so cool and the dog sounds so sweet!

Penguins -- 01-12-10

I love penguins, so here are some facts to help build your background knowledge about them. Who knew?! Not me! Well, enjoy!

Penguins don't fly, they swim.
Penguins lay eggs.
They are warm blooded like humans.
When mothers lose a chick, they steal another mother's chick.
They are mostly found below the equator.
Penguin chicks have fluffy feathers.
Penguins have short legs and no knees.
They have a good arrangement bones in the hand. This makes them flexible.
Their knees and upper legs are covered with feathers.
Their feathers are short, overlapping, and tightly packed.
They are often black and white in color.
Some species have yellow feathers.
When the salt storage completely fills the gland, penguins go to a rock and knock his beak. This allows him to empty the salt content.
Male penguins take care of their chicks.
In cold places, males balance eggs on their feet and cover with belly flap to keep them warm.
They bite fiercely to defend themselves and their nests.
Penguins use sign language to communicate with each other.
They make use of their flippers and head to talk to other penguins.
They feed on fish, cephalopods and krill.
Penguins swallow their food as a whole.
They have a variety of bill shapes.
Giant petrels and leopard seals are enemies of penguins.

My review of the winter concert -- 01-11-10

Hi, I had to write this for music (boring)

This review is about the Winter Concert. It is called the good, the bad, and the worse. Thanks.

THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE WORSE OF THE MAMARONECK AVENUE SCHOOL WINTER CONCERT

I thought over all the Mamaroneck Avenue School winter concert was fantastic, though, sadly I must say, that it was not a perfect ten. In my review you will hear the good, the bad, and the worse about the concert. Thank you very much.

I am going to start off by telling you the bad things about the concert. First of all, and let me say this right off the bat, there shouldn’t have been a dress code because it was more likely for people to break the code and not have what they should have had on verses if there wasn’t a dress code. Even thought most looked very professional, a few were looking a bit. . .different. Now that I got that over with, let me start with the talking. Many fourth and fifth graders were talking in between songs when we were sitting down and at many other times. That was all I had to say for the bad side of the situation, now let's get onto the good.

Now I will tell you about the good things I saw in the concert. First of all the singing was fantastic! Especially the "A mi manera." It sounded like a perfect melody. The vocals were amazing, especially from the soloists "In man in the mirror." The instruments were in tune, playing to the same beat.

Over all, the good over powered the bad. That is all I have to say.

Thank you for reading my one page review of the Mamaroneck Avenue School winter concert.

Thank you!

The Skinny Hobo -- 01-09-10

Chapter One: On the road

Once upon a time in a far away land many years ago....Okay, lets get back to reality here, people!

Once there was a skinny hobo he was an outcast from all of the other hobos because he ate way to much but was still skinny. He was a grown man and only weighed 20 pounds!

One day a man was walking down the street and saw the hobo.

He said, "Wow you are really skinny for a hobo."

The hobo replied, "Was that supposed to be a compliment?"

So the men kept talking and pretty soon they were at the man's mansion. From there everything went down hill... .

Chapter Two: At the mansion

When the two men got to the mansion the butler escorted them into the kitchen. Of course, since he was a hobo, he oohed and he ahhhed at everything like he was meant to do. When they got to the kitchen the man couldn't stop eating serving after serving of everything.

When the rich man saw this he was amazed. Pretty soon the hobo had eaten every single thing in his kitchen. When the hobo heard this he got so angry he almost exploded.

Chapter Three: The one bite

All of a sudden out of no where the hobo jumped out of his chair, went under the table, and ate the rich man's leg off! The butler fainted at the sight of this of course.

"Humans taste good," said the hobo.

The End

This story was only available after reading sam80's page and his story "The fat hobo."

The Amazing Cake -- 01-05-10

A bank in Washington wanted to celebrate its 20th anniversary like any other with a cake. But they wanted something more appropriate. This man added another vault filled with currency to the bank but it is different than others mostly because this one is eatable. The baker was the amazing Mike McCarey, owner and head chef of "Mike's Amazing Cakes" known for its famous three dimensional cakes. He can do anything: a football, a dart board, and even a guitar!

I think this is very cool. I personally would like a cake that looks like a beagle. But really he can make anything I want.

HI, people! How are you doing, people? Guess what? I got this CD for Christmas from my Daddy. Well, not exactly a Christmas present. Here is how I got it. I have been wanting it for ages, right? Well, if you don't know, I have been. My brother and sister were at the Hommocks with one of my sister's friends and my dad had to get a new shirt from the Nordstrum rack and said I could get something (maybe). So we went to go find me some stuff and I got an awesome shirt with matching scarf. We were off to go and find my dad a shirt. It took ten minutes to find one size. But he didn't like the color so no shirt for him. Too bad. Once we got to the check oot line, I found it, and he said that I could get it. So that is how I got it.

Prince William on the streets of London -- 12-23-09

Last night on the dark streets of London Prince William was wandering the streets. You might wonder why the next heir to the throne was wondering the streets. Here is why. Prince William does a lot of work with homeless charities. Once someone heard about this he notified the manager and the manager politely asked if he would like to live out the experience these people go through every day. He gracefully accepted and went to try in a pair of jeans, a hooded sweat shirt, and a black ski cap. Once the night was over he felt the most amount of pity he had ever felt in his life for these people.

I think that it is a good thing that royalty is getting into the holiday spirit of helping people in need. That night must have been way lower class than he is used to. What do you think of what he is doing? It would be in his own country but the emotion behind it is eternal, and it should apply to everyone in the world not just us and the people of London. EVERYONE SHOULD HELP OUT IN THE COMMUNITY.

December 21st the first official day of winter -- 12-22-09

With most of the East coast already blanketed in snow, it is difficult to believe that winter is just beginning in the Northern Hemisphere. For today, December 21st, marks the first official day of winter. Often referred to as winter solstice, it is also the shortest day of the year.
Opposite in the Southern Hemisphere, today marks the beginning of summer, also referred to as summer solstice or the longest day of the year. The roles will be reversed on June 21st.

I think that it is really interesting that all the way over in the southern hemisphere it is summer and up here it is exactly the opposite season. Does this mean when it is spring over there it would be fall over here. Oh, yeah, I get how it works, but I don't know how it can be humanly possible. Tell me what you think when you comment. I really appreciate it.

A rare pink dolphin -- 12-17-09

A rare pink dolphin has been spotted in Lake Calcasieu, a salt water estuary near Lousiana. The dolphin was discovered earlier this year in March by Captain Eric Rue. Since then, the dolphin has brought in many, many tourists to that one single spot. But they have found it a good home.

I think this is really cool, how they can do that and have one dolphin attract that many tourists. I think the best part is they have found it a great home in the Pacific Ocean where it can live in peace.

Silent chinese dancing -- 12-16-09

They move gracefully and with perfect coordination to the beat of the music, yet none of these dancers can hear the music, nor sing to it. Meet the deaf-mute dance unit of My Dream - China' Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe.Founded in 1987, this troupe of 100 Chinese nationals with various disabilities, has performed in more than 40 countries and has raised awareness, as well as, over $7,000,000mm U.S. dollars for charities benefiting people with disabilities.

I think that it would be very cool if i went to one of tose performances and saw them dance. Last weekend I went to go and see my cousin in her performance if the nutcracker. It was great and it was silent just like this, except for the music of course.

A very overweight hedgehog! -- 12-16-09

Snowballs is a rare albino hedgehog with one small problem -- he is very overweight. Snowballs weighs 3.3lbs (If you didn't know, that is 3 time the normal weight of one of those hedgehogs.) Luckily, the spiny mammal, who has apparently been stuffing himself with dog food left outside homes, is getting some help.

I think that hedgehog is lucky that he didn't die of obseity. My dog was the same way. He ate and ate and ate at his home before we adopted him. The hedgehog is so cute but so fat. Luckily, it is getting help just like my dog did when we first adopted him.

A brand new Musical instrument, the Iphone? -- 12-15-09

While most of us think of the iPhone as a nifty device for texting, calling, or passing time with the various if sometimes bizarre applications, the Stanford Mobile Phone Orchestra, better known as MoPhO, sees it differently. They view it as an instrument that can be used to compose music by creatively combining the various sounds and 'jingles' of the iPhones - perfectly meshing the world of technology and music, with the mere touch of a fingertip.

I think that it is an odd way of making music, but it sounds like it would sound quite nice if you put it all together. I wonder what it would sound like if I was in that orchestra? What do you think of that??
I am just writing this in my room, and I have nothing to do so I might as well do this. How are you guys doing? I am going to my aunt's country club's tree lighting. I have gone to it for as long as I can remember, but I doubt this year won't be any different. Hasta la vista. I have to go to bed now. See you soon.

7 year old painting star -- 12-03-09

Kieron Williamson, a seven year old painter, had one of his paintings sold for 34,000 USD! Kieron first got inspired to paint while on a family vacation in the picturesque towns of Devon and Cornwall. According to his parents, he asked for a pencil, sketched the scene, and then simply started to paint. Noticing his raw talent, a family artist friend gave him some guidance, and the rest as they say is history!

I think the boy is very successful and is lucky that he has found his calling early in life. Some people search their whole lives, but he is bound to be a painter when he grows up. And considering his age, he has a lot of time to improve. Great job, kid. You found it early, and you will go as far as you want and as far as your legs can take you.

The weirdest Thanksgiving story that you have ever heard -- 11-29-09

holiday_clipart_thanksgiving_1_.gif (GIF Image, 170x200 pixels) via kwout

Well, I guess the name is pretty self explanatory. . . .It is a very, very weird Thanksgiving story. As you read, you will definitely find out why. And I mean it! What am I doing this for.. . ? Whatever, I am just going to tell you the story. So here it is.

It was my first Thanksgiving. I was about 9 1\2 inches big, so people thought that I wouldn't eat a lot. Even my parents thought that. Let me just get one thing straight. Everybody was wrong. I just ate and ate and ate.

My grandma makes the best sweet potatoes you would ever eat, and, well, as soon as I ate them I was hooked. I had my first serving, and as soon as I was done I started crying because I wanted more. So they gave me more. I finished those, and I started to cry again. Get the picture? I wasn't happy unless I was eating those things. So this ritual happend about 12 times after the first.

So every year my parents insist on telling the same story every single year. But for some reason they decided not to tell it this year. I don't know why but they just didn't. Here is the weird thing, I didn't get any fatter because those things went right through me.

Well, I hoped you liked my story. My teacher seemed to quite well. Well, see you all real soon, unless you don't go to my school. Then I won't see you, but I will see the people who go to school with me. See ya'll real soon.

The wand remote -- 11-26-09

Impress your friends and family by 'magically' turning on the television, DVD player, stereo system, lights, or even drawing up the curtains, with a mere swoosh of the wand. The realistic looking remote-wand, is the brainchild of two British men, Chris Barnardo and Richard Blakesley, who were inspired after seeing how enthralled the world was with the Harry Potter series.

Kids news - The Harry Potter Inspired 'Wand' Remote via kwout

I think that wand is so awesome! I would definitely like that for my room when I can't find the remote. I would just take my wand and, ding, it's done.
Who would think that our favorite doll, the ever youthful-looking Barbie (full name - Barbara Millicent Roberts), is turning 50 on Monday, March 9th. In true Barbie style, she will celebrate her birthday at her dream house - a 3,500 sq. ft. mansion in Malibu, California.
Wow, that is way cool. But that is so not saying that I like Barbie or anything like that. But it is cool that a doll this popular started way back in 1959.

The world's largest cruise ship - 'The Oasis of the Seas', arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, amidst much fanfare on Friday November 20th.

The 225,000 ton vessel, which can hold up to 6,000 passengers is now undergoing some last minute finishing touches before it embarks on its inaugural cruise to Haiti on December 1st.

I think the ship is so cool. I wish I could go on that cruise. It is so awesome, but my dad would never be able to go mostly because he has mega motion sickness. He would be puking even if we were 10 inches from the dock. EW! (BIG TIME!) That would be so gross.

Princess Tiana To Debut At The Magic Kingdom -- 11-20-09

A new princess is scheduled to join the elite group of Disney Princesses. Princess Tiana, the leading protagonist in the upcoming 'Princess and the Frog,' will make her debut at Disney World and Disneyland on October 26th, 2009, starring in a limited engagement show entitled, 'Tiana's Showboat Jubilee'.

Wow, that is so cool. When I go to Disney World in Florida I am going to go to that show and see who was chosen and what the show is about. I think that I won't be going for a while but anyways the show still sounds like a ton of fun. What would be your perfect Disney World vacation? I would like to know. And if it is too embarrassing I don't care. Just write it down. I mean it. . . .Sorry, I can get a bit punchy sometimes.

Tthe kid reporter and rising star, Damon Weaver -- 11-19-09

A 5th Grade reporter from Pahokee, FL, who has interviewed more celebrities than most 'real' reporters, has added another feather in his cap - a full college scholarship from the Albany State University in Georgia.

Damon Weaver, who attends K.E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary School in Palm Beach, first rose to fame after his candid interview with Vice President, Joe Biden in October 2008.

That kid is so cool! He is awesome! I wish I was as lucky as him and get to meet all of those super stars. I mean, not that I am ungreatful for meeting Michael Phelps, Jesse Mccartney, Jordin Sparks, and the cast of Mary Poppins on Broadway. It is just really cool that he gets to go to all of those places and met all of those people.

Who Knew Fruits And Vegetables Could Look So Good? -- 11-18-09

Carl Warner, a world-famous photographer, came up with the brilliant idea, after he was commissioned by U.K.'s Good Food Channel, to promote healthy eating by inspiring people to incorporate vegetables and fruits into their meals more imaginatively.

I think the sculptor is really entertaining and yummy. (I like vegtables. Don't kill me.) I also think the photographer really captured the essence of his subject. It is really cool.

A dress that can light up a room -- 11-15-09

The mesmerizing dress is the work of Cute Circuit, a British Company that specializes in designing what they call "Wearable Technology." The Galaxy Dress has been painstakingly put together by stitching in 24,000, 2x2 mm, flat, extra thin, LED's on layers of silk. The lights are powered by tiny iPod batteries that have enough power to illuminate the dress for 30 minutes at a time.

That dress is so cool! I wish that I could fit into it, but I bet that I am way too short. Still, maybe in a couple of years I will fit. Ha, ha, ha! Either way, I could never pull that dress off. It is way too flashy for my style. I am going to stick to jeans and tee shirts for now.

The worlds oldest dog -- 11-11-09

Though she may not look a day over 21 (3 in dog years), Channel is all set to celebrate her 147th birthday (21 in dog years) on May 8th, and has just received a certificate from the folks at the Guinness Book of Records confirming her status as the oldest dog in the world!

I think that dog is one of the lucky ones in the world. Not all dogs can live up to 147 years old. I wonder when her birthday is? That must be one big birthday! At least I think so! I wonder if my dog will live that long? I doubt it, though that age for a dog only happens once in a life time. But whatever, let me just say that dog is a big hero!

Race to Invent Potter's Invisibility Cloak Heats Up -- 11-08-09

A race to invent the real invisibility cloak is heating up. Many scientists are tring to make the next invisibility cloak. One example is Ulf Leonhardt from Scotland. he has been working on the thing for two years and now from a fund from the Harry Potter Agency he can work on the cloak full time and not just on weekends and nights.

Man, these people want this cloak done fast and they mean it!

You know what I think, I think they should some how use the skin of a chameleon. They always camouflage with everything. You would really look invisible. Even if this isn't done by the time I am twenty, I am still getting one. It sounds so awesome! I don't even care if the first one costs $1,000,000,000.00 I am still getting one.

A sculpturer out of Jell-o -- 11-06-09

A sculpture was made out of Jello. Not ice. Not anything else. Jell-o.

It was made by Liz Hancock a woman from Arizona. She got her inspiration from her trips around the world. Now she has made two different sculptures of two different places: Paris, France and San Francisco, California. She did it out of jello because she likes to be original as I can tell.

I can tell that she is really creative. I like people that are creative. I think that it would be kind of cool if she made one of those for Mamaroneck. I would love to eat it. I like to eat Jello. So I could probably eat one of those sculptures in a heart beat even though it isn’t my favorite food. (You would know this if you read some of my past articles.)

A star fish was found with 8 legs -- 11-06-09

A fisherman in Europe has found an eight legged star fish. He knew that he had made an amazing discovery so he took the fish to the nearest aquarium to be analyzed by marine biologists. They have found out that the fish is a Siamese twin. They tried to separate the two, but it failed so he has a few extra limbs. His brother, on the other hand, didn’t survive. Too bad for him.

I think that this is an amazing discovery. He knew that the star fish was different right from the start and now I bet they are both living in peace. The only bad thing is that it may be the only star fish like that in the world, so it has a really really high rate of extinction. If anyone kills that fish it will be bad, bad news. I really think that the fish is an amazing discovery, and I wish that I could find that amazing of a discovery.
That it is exciting. I so vote against this. I can't wait until this boring Social Studies state test stuff is over! We are going to work on the skeletal system after the test for science. Yay, yay, yay! That is my 3rd favorite subject, next to social studies in last place.

Tiana - The New Disney Princess -- 11-04-09

Disney is unveiling a new princess! Their latest princess, Tania, has been the first new princess since the Asian princess Mulan in 1998. Tania is a spunky 19 year old African American princess. The movie "The Princess and the Frog" is her latest role and it will be coming out Christmas of 2009. She will be the first African American princess. It will be a charming movie that ends the way that all Disney movies end, with a "happily ever after."

I hope you all like the movies with a "happily ever after" and a prince riding off on his horse with his girl or princess.

You know how gloves with 5 finger holes fit your five fingers? Well, these shoes have five toe holes. Yes, it is true! Athletes in Eastern Europe are using these new shoes. These shoes, unlike others, give you no protection whatsoever. It is just like having bare feet but you have something to keep them from touching the ground.

I believe that the shoes are useless. If they give you no protection then why are they even called shoes?! I mean, my fuzzy socks give you more protection than that! So that is one shoe that I won’t be buying in a long time.

A young genius -- 10-28-09

Meet Brittany Exline. She was reading when she was two and done with sixth grade at age 8 and college by 13. This girl is crazy smart. When Brittany was 15 she got accepted to one of the top colleges in the world! This girl isn’t a genius 24/7. She also likes dancing, singing, and speaks fluent German. She also made history by being the first African American to be accepted to the top college in the country.

Now that is what I call a smart girl! It must be a little tough for Brittany sometimes because none of her friends are her age. I would feel really weird if I was her going to school with a bunch of collage kids. I bet she really wants to have some friends her own age. I know kind of how she feels. I have a special disease, and I can’t run so I feel really bad when my friends get jealous. When they go down to gym they get mad because I don’t have to go downstairs and can do my home work.

This little piggy didn't go to the market -- 10-28-09

This Little Piggy Will Not Be Heading To the Market!

A cute little piglet was about to die of starvation after being rejected by her mother. 2 month old "Apple Sauce" was about to die but thankfully some quick thinking by her owner saved her life. Her owner thought that since her dog Sasha just had 19 puppies one more wouldn’t hurt, so she wrapped up the pig in a dog blanket so she would smell just like a regular dog. By three days later Apple Sauce was excepted as one of the family. Now All of them live in peace together, having fun as dogs and pigs just like friends.

A Chocolate eiffel tower -- 10-24-09

A chocolate Eiffel tower would be so cool. But if it wasn’t kept in a cold place otherwise it would definitely melt. Unless it was made of chocolate that couldn’t melt. That would be so cool.

I love chocolate so I could eat half of that thing in a heart beat. I really love chocolate, if you haven’t noticed. I also can’t believe it could be about a quarter of the size of the real thing. That is one big tower of chocolate.

A washing machine for your pooch -- 10-24-09

This machine is said to be one of the best inventions in the world but it may not be safe.

I believe that if the machine is not safe for the dog it is NOT one of the best inventions in the world. Even though it isn’t safe everything else about the machine is a perfectly good idea. The best part is that it makes the pet perfectly good. That is what I think about this contraption.

Life After Harry Potter -- 10-22-09

Wow, they have finished the Harry Potter line and Harry Hemione and Ron are off toward bigger and better things.

They have finished making all seven of the movies and are having fun with their own life.

For example, Emma Watson, otherwise know as Hermoine Granger, is at Rhode Island studying at Brown University.

For Danielle Radcliffe he plans to move back to New York and star in Broadways production of West End. He is also off in his London estate playing golf and swimming.

Now that is what I call living the good life! I wish I was him, but I am busy at school and everything else. Then again, he is a millionaire and I’m not. . .whatever.

That is what they are doing after Harry Potter. I want to star in a movie and be a millionaire!
