Motosis and Moisis -- 01-31-12

Mitosis refers to a division of cells. Meiosis on the other hand is to the division of gametes. So it goes diploid to haploid. The difference between Mitosis and Meiosis is that Meiosis is a sexual reproduction of cells and Mitosis is not.
Meiosis is a unique type of cell that mak gametes with not as many chromosomes. The opposita process would be syngamy or fertalization, a very different organism that has unique difrent ither parent is made. The sygote divides and grown to form an embryo which turns into a young organism.
Mitosis is where chromosomes are copied and split. It starts with prophase. Prophase is when the DNA duplicates. They became exactly the same like a copy in. eres metophase which is when the DNA duplicates and face eachother. On the opposite sides. Anaphase is next and is when the daughter chromosomes move away from eachother to opposite sides of the cell. Last is telephase and thats where all cells split to form nuclei.

Cell mitosis -- 01-26-12

Q1. Chromisomes duplicates each other. Then both of them move to the opposite cell walls. The cell expands and its plasma membrane grows inward, then the cell splits. The cell divides and creates two sister cells. Those cells are able to work becase the mother cell gives them everything they need to produce and survive.
Q2. Interphase: Is the longest perod of the complte cell cycle during which the DNA replicates, the centrioles divide, and the protiens are actively produced.
Prophase: During the first mitotic stage, the nucleolus fades and condenses into chromosomes. Each chromosome comprises two chromatids. Microtubules of a cytoskleton

Prometaphase: The nucler envelope breaks down and there is no longer a nucleus that you can recognize. Some mitotc spindle fibers elongate from the centrosomes and attach tp kinetochores, protein bunches at the centromer region on the chromosoms where sister chromatids are joined.
Metphase: The tension applied by spindle fibers aligns chromosomes in one plane at the center of the cell.
Anaphase: Spindle fibers shorten, the kinetochores seperate, and the chromatids are pulled apat and begin moving to the cell poles.

I took 5 energy drinks Best Shot, 5 Hour Energy, Amp, Red bull, and Monster MX3 Super concentrate. We put 5 Polyacrolyte Crystal's in each vile. we had 1 vile for each energy drink. The amp got the biggest polyacrolyte crystals. on day 1 amp got 28.4 pixels, on the second day it had grown to 363.225 pixels, on day three they shrank down to 354.9. the second runner up was the monster. they had 28.4 on day one, 356.875, and day three hey had a, 545.5. the third was red bull. the first day was 28.4, the second day they reached 285.2, and day three was 276.6. The fourth was best shot, day one was 28.4, the second day was 265.625, and day three was 216.1. the last was five hour energy with a day one of 28.4, day two was 251.25, and day three was a 102.75 they all turned the specific color of the drink, the amp and monster and mp turned green, the five hour energy and best shot turned red and pink, and the red bull had different colors, but one of the red bulls had bubbles form inside it which prevented growth, that took down the average of the red bull and that's probably why it was three, most of the other red bulls were as big as the amps.

Chets Freshwater Pollution Pamphlet -- 11-03-09

What is freshwater pollution?

Water pollution occurs when waste?
Products or other substances change physical,
Thermal, chemical, or biological characteristics of the water. Pollution is Adversely affecting living species and reducing the waters beneficial uses.

What are some sources of water pollution?

Some sources of water pollution are trash, waste, landfills, oil spills, and chemicals.
Those things make water polluted and could get into your drinking water and make you very sick. Oil spills could hurt you a lot and it kills tons of animals. Like the Exxon Valdez
Oil spill. It killed tons of animals and if the might not have cleaned it, you could of drank the oil in your water.

What are some consequences of water pollution?

If it gets into our drinking water you and your pets could get sick.
You could get sewage into your water and body. Imagine drinking sewage it could make you and your pets very sick. Or if oil got in your water supply that would be very bad.

How do you improve the quality of the water after it has been polluted?

You can purify the water that is one of the most vital ways of cleaning pollution.
We can throw a way are trash and stop dumping in the water and evenchley the water will be cleaner.

What can be done to improve the quality of the water?

Top pouring are waste and trash in to the water or make big net with really small holes so the water can go through and the oil, dirt, and other things that could pollute the water.

What are nitrates and how do they get into our water supply?
Nitrates are natural and created by plant-based chemicals
And fertilizers. To many nitrates can make you sick. So you shod not drink water with to many nitrates. If someone in your house gets sick from water in your house you should check it.
