Week 3 has been great. We practiced our skit and got to scene 3. Also our group got to show what we have so far to the class and they gave us comments on what was good and what was bad. Kelly, John and I are making a brochure for the first graders for tecnoleghy.

This week when I met with my mentor we found out our class we are presenting to is Ms. Burke's Class.Now we are working on our technology . We are so excited that our technolgy is a movie. Our names are : (Josh) King Awsome,(Mary Cate) Harper,(Andrea)Abigail,(kelly) Victoria, (Piper) electia, and John is a Prouducer and camera man.

My topic for exhibition is Global Warming. My group is Andrea, John, Kelly, Josh, Piper, and Mary Cate (which is me). My mentor is Mrs. Schaffer. That is Isaac's mom. In my group I hope to learn how to stop Global Warming and that we can be a hero on saving the earth. I've learned how long global warming has been going on. Did you know that Global Warming has been going on since dinasourses have been alive?

Heroes in Our World -- 10-03-08

The most interesting hero that I found is Mariama Ba. She is an author in Senegal. Mariama Ba is trying to convince men that women should be able to go to school and not have to clean. I didn't know that this was going on in Senegal like we had here a long time ago. She is a risk-taker because she is standing up for women. Mariama is my hero.

My Favorite part of "In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson" was when mother and Shirley were on the boat so they could go to America. Shirley's mother had a baby on the boat. I liked that part because my mom is going to have a baby and we found out that it is going to be a boy.

My favorite thing I learned was the chain pump. Scientists say it may not be real because they have not had one found. There are about 5 buckets that go round and pick up water from a pool of water and carry it to their garden or their house so they can have water to drink.
