On 11th December Area 7 went on a excursion to the Perth City. We went on a train (Bull Creek train station). We first visited The Perth Mint, we had a guy to show us around and his name is John he also told us some information about The Perth Mint, inside the Mint we had a show on how to make gold. Atfter that we had to walk to the Food Hall it took a long time but we finally got there and had lunch, my group had Subway because we got to buy our own lunch. After that we had to go catch the train back to the train station on our way there we looked at some buildings, after that we went on a parents car to head back to school.

Friday 19th of October Mrs David came to visit our class and talked to us about her trip to Papua New Guinea early in august. Mrs David is a midwife and went to Papua New Guinea to teach the women about pregnancy and child care. Mrs David went with her friend who is a nurse and Mr Bullard. The three of them flu to Cairns and took a one and a half hour flight. Then they took a 3 hour drive to a lake then a 5 hour boat ride to Lake Sepek. Lake Sepek is one of the worlds biggest lakes. Next they stopped at couple more lakes. When they reached the village everyone welcomed them with songs and dances. There house was made of sticks to hold the house (to prevent the house getting damaged by floods.) The roofs were made out of dried palm leaves. The toilets were made out of sticks and straw. The toilets had to be 20 meters away from the village and river. The next day Mrs David taught the women from all the villages about basic things to look after there child and how to keep healthy so you don’t get infections. Mrs David showed some sad pictures of children with diseases and who were sick. She also showed us a baby who was really skinny and told us that the baby’s mother didn’t have enough milk so she had to give the baby to someone else. Mrs David gave the women kits including a pair of gloves, soap,a blade, plastic & string. And then Mrs David let us make the kit and we also made posters. It was a great experience listening how Mrs David helped the people in Papua New Guinea

The GCC stands for Globals Childrens Challenge and my high score was 14 thousand and something and the lowest score I had was 13 thousand and something. The person who does the most steps in my class is The Steper Of The Day and they will receive a certificate. the person who has done the most was Callum his high score was 35 thousand and something and is lowet score was 24 thousand and something. This goes over the holidays and the weekend so we have to record it on a stickies note cause we have macbooks or you can record it on a piece of paper.

I did not get 4 thousand that was just the middle of the day.

Area 7 has gymnstics every Tuesday and we have learnt landing, rotation and something else that I don't remember. I am so good at cartwheels because its the most simple one I can do but I am ok with the other subjects. I love gymnastics (its the best). Me and my freind (Zoe) are good at gymnastics and my favourite subject was swinging on the bars but Zoe (my friend) liked Rotation. I had a great time.I loved the cartwheels because I am so good at them me and my friend Martha are the best at cartwheels in the class.

Area 7 is doing this buddies and we have two buddies. We have year 1s and year 2s but I'm talking about year 2s. My buuddy can somtimes be annoying but I will get over it soon, My buddie's name is Ankita, she really likes me, she hugs me whenever we see each other at recess or lunch or sometimes at home time. She sometimes get a bit cheeky and a bit crazy but I will get over that too. Ankita is so funny. She is not that shy but very silly, those are the bad things about my buddy (Ankita). There's somthing good about Ankita, she always want to be part of somthing and I mostly give her a chance. I think she is 7 or 8 years old.

Last term when we did the Landmark games I improved on searching and found how to check properly like if it is the correct landmark.
When we did the persuasive writing I improved on my writing like at the beginning of a sentence instead of firstly, secondly, lastly.
I wish I had improved on the landmark group session I hope I will improve by trying my hardest and quickly.
During term 1 I didn't really improve on my time tables I hope I will improve this term by practising everyday.
