Taxi is a movie. This police officer can’t drive. He backs into a stall. He gets his license taken off him. In the meantime a lady gets her taxi license. She does her taxi up. She put heaps of buttons in and she puts Noss in her car. Shanae and I play a game named after and played like Taxi. We have to hide in the long grass. You've got to try it.

Beijing is the capital city of China. Seventeen million people live in Beijing. Beijing is the second largest city in China. The main language in Beijing is Mandarin. There are lots of modern places and old places. The most loved city in Beijing is the Forbidden City. Twenty four emperors lived there for 500 years. Emperors are the rulers of the country. Part of the Great Wall of China is near Beijing. The Great Wall of China is the only man made thing that you can see from space. In Beijing there is a place called Tian’anmon Square. Tian’anmon Square is the biggest square on earth. Beijing has problems with air pollution and dust storms. There are lots of cars and factories that make the air grey. In 2008 Beijing will host the Olympics.

Crunchy edge like a hedge,
Veins bulky spots are blotchy.
Back smells like pollen,
Look’s like an old gumboot.
Front smells like a book.
Round with an upside down frown,
Has some rips but looks ok, sounds like a joke ay.

Kangaroos live in Australia. The baby is called a joey. The joey lives in the mother’s pouch for six months. The kangaroo is a marsupial which means it has a pouch.

Kangaroos eat grass. They have strong legs and tails. Kangaroos walk in a mob because dingoes eat them. They move by jumping with their tails held out behind them. They smell, hear and see well but when they eat grass their head is by the grass so they can’t see danger coming such a dingo (a wild dog). That is why they walk in a mob.

The boss of the mob is a large male kangaroo. If another one tries to be the boss there is a fight. They scratch with the claws and kick with their feet.

One, nose, one, nose, one. Why can’t we do it really fast?
On Friday we watched a puppet show and a boy called Nathan was in his room trying to light paper with a magnifying glass and of course it took a long time so he decided to go and get his Dad’s barbecue lighter and use that. But when the paper caught fire his curtains caught fire too. Then the curtains got burnt so Nathan ran out the door and shut it when he went out. He hid behind the back door and closed his eyes hoping it would go out but it didn’t and the house caught fire. But Nathan didn’t go outside. He got smoke in his lungs and had to go to hospital. Then a firefighter called Kevin came and asked him if he knew how the fire started. He even went up to assembly and admitted he did it to warn them to not play with fire lighters.
Then we talked about safety rules and Mana and Annalise were volunteers to be blind folded. They had to pretend they were asleep on a stool and Dean was going to make the fire alarm go off by pushing a button. Then Mana who went first got off the stool and walked which he should have crawled to the door. We went out the door and didn’t shut or feel it before he went out. Annalise crawled to the door, opened it not feeling it and shut it.
A saying was – Drop to the floor, Crawl to the door. If you feel the door and it was cool you could open it but if it was hot you could go through the window. If you’re on fire Stop, Drop and Roll. Cover your face when you roll and have straight legs. After that he told us about a lady that her stove caught on fire and she went to get her fire extinguisher but one didn’t work because it had to be recharged because it had no gas that makes the fire go out. They were both the same weight because the gas weighed nothing. At the end our class stood up and some of us went out and some of us were on our way out but we stopped by the puppets and studied them.

It’s so cute. What is it?
It is the baby white rhino that got born on Sunday.
On Thursday Puahue School went to Hamilton Zoo. I saw the chimpanzees. They were getting fed. One was using a tool to eat.
My favourite was the cotton top tamarins, the tiger and the classroom. We learnt a lot at the classroom. I saw a tortoise shell. When we were having lunch a peacock wanted to eat Miss Knight’s sandwich. That was funny.
After lunch we saw frogs and lizards. When we went to the classroom we got frog pad flips. I also saw some confiscated goods from when people killed animals like elephants just for their tusks and when they go overseas with ivory and statues they get confiscated and sent to Hamilton Zoo.
We also saw the baby white rhino and his or her mother getting fed. I saw the red panda. The red panda was hiding up a high tree.
Well the people that were in my group were Brett, Isaac, Ifor, Rosa, Mitchell and Miss Knight.

The best part was that we got to go to the class room and learnd about endanged anamils. I learned that people use parts of anamils as deckarashons.

A little mouse name Peepee froze in fear when he saw a large face right in front of him. He didn’t know what to do. He tried to run up a big tree trunk but he hurt his leg. A girl came. It was me. My name is Riana. I saw the cat and the mouse. I quickly went to my mum. Mum just about stood on the mouse at the bottom of the tree. The cat was black and called Bobo. The mouse was grey and called Peepee. I picked up the cat. He hurt me. Mum checked it. He had yuck pads on his feet. Mum and I took him to the vets. Peepee ran away. Mum called the Oswald, I still call him Bobo.
