8. You could put more washers on the string,or you could use less wire so the energy wont have to travel as far.

1) Gather your materials

2)Set up your materials.

3)Put 5 washers on the string.

4) Let the washers fall then time the fall.

5) After the fall,have someone measure the motor to the floor.

6) Then get the 5 washers and wight them on the spring scale.

7) Now you should have 3 numbers,multiply the wight of the washers.

8) Now you should have 2 numbers,take the number you got in the last step and multiply it by the amount of the time you got.

9) Repeat steps 3 to 8, but with 4 washers 6 washers and 7 washers.

10.YES because you could connect the wires to the metal so the energy would go through the wires when the washers fall.
