Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. The big difference is that eukaryotic cells have something called membrane-bound compartments. And prokaryotic cells only have ribosomes.

Not exactly true. Keep researching and find out more similarities and differences. And explain what membrane-bound compartments are. - From Mr. G

egg experiment

my egg started with a mass of 78.1. It sat over night in milk. i thought it was going to be a isotonic solution. that means it grows but not a lot just a little. my team came in the next morning and it went up to 1.92. which was not a lot but did go up. So in the end I was right with my guess.

plant vs animals cells

PLANTS:
-plant cells have to axorbe light.
-plant cells have a cell wall.
-plants cells have a vacuole.


ANIMAL:
-animal cells don't have a cell wall.
-animal cells are more free.
anaimals cells don't have a chloroplasts.


BOTH:


-both have a vacuole. Also both need food, water, and oxygen to live.

what i saw in my class was parameia moving very fast and it seemed to me they were running. i saw them doing living stuff they were eating moving and getting rid of waste. but the amoeba wasnt moving or anything the parameia were.

I think think the second student because cells can live alone but elodea can't live by its self unlike cells can.

i think the form is a little more important. without the form thhere would be no function.its kinda like then chiken and the egg which game first without each other they wouldnt both matter. they make each other work

what i got on my quiz was 4 out of 6 on mulltiple choice. out of 9 short answers i got 6. i liked learning about the immune attack online video game. i feel like i learned better. i hope we do online games more soon
