The differents between Weathering and erosion is:

Weathering:
-Two processes than often woks in concret decompose rocks.
-Involves physically breaking rocks into fragments without changing the chemical.
-No movement involves in weathering

Erosion:
-As soon as a rock particle moves we call it erosion.
-Rock particle is moved by some flowing such as a air water or ice.
-Mass wasting is simply movement downslope due to gravity.
-Earth is constatly being sculpted through erosion.

Weathering and erosion are the processes that sculpts and molds the surface of the earth.

Vinegar & Baking Soda Lab

Article posted September 11, 2008 at 05:28 PM GMT • comment • Reads 554

My science class all did a project about vinegar and baking soda reactions to each other.
my team got this data out of it.
Problem:What is the effect of the vinegar on the size of the balloon.
Hypothesis:As the amount of vinegar increases the balloon will get bigger because it will fill up with more CO2 gas.
Materials:
3 Test tubes
test holder
balloon
baking soda
vinegar
50ml beaker
250ml beaker
pop cycle sticks
funnel
safety goggles
Steps:
1. Get materials
2.put on goggles
3.put funnel in balloon
4.put baking soda in test tube.
5.put vinegar in balloon.
6.put balloon over test tube.
7.dump the 10ml vinegar from balloon to test tube.
8.record data and use string.
9.re[eat steps with 20ml, ten 30ml

Here is the data that we got out of our lab project.
1st:
The balloon got 17.5 cm
We put in 20 ml of vinegar
2nd:
The balloon got 26 cm
We put in 30 ml of vinegar
3nd:
The balloon got 26.5 cm
We put in 40 ml of vinegar

Conclusion:
When I changed the amount of vinegar the balloons circumfrence gets larger because the baking soda makes a reaction to the vinegar.
