This class is for high school students at Winnebago Lutheran Academy who want to learn how to make music on computers. We use Audacity and Garageband as our main tools, and we have fun almost every single day figuring out how to make music using audio and MIDI, but we also learn how to record vocals and instruments and even play guitar and drums if we need to.
We keep personal blogs (look on the right column of this page and click on our names) to help us remember what we've been working on, keep track of the all the decisions that we've made on our projects, and to share with our family and friends the music that we've created.

This podcast is a combination of 3 projects. The first song is 'I Like That' by Chingy, and 'Lean Back' by Fat Joe. This was done to practice using Audacity and to practice getting timing of songs just right. The second song is 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor. This was done to practice finding 8-counts and finding appropriate beginnings, middles, and ends. The third song is 'Black and Yellow' by Wiz Khalifa. This project was done completely independently to practice what was taught in the first 2 projects. Audacity was used on all three projects.

This project was similar to the first. I stripped all the audio from this car commercial, and replaced it with the song Robotech by Hyper Crush. I also used Garageband with this project, and again had to edit the song to fit into a 30 second video. I had to find a beginning, middle, and end that fit well with the commercial.

In this project, i stripped the audio from the iPod commercial, which originally featured the song Technologic by Daft Punk. I replaced it with the song Derezzed by Daft Punk. This required using Garageband, and editing and cutting the music to fit perfectly into a 35 second video. Also, some audio from the original commercial was needed, when the woman says "Technologic".
