Hunger Games Questions for CH.1 and 2

1.)What do you think happened to the United States that led to it's destruction and eventual rise of Panam?      A big fight and it lead to a big eruption and the Panam people took over.

2.) The Reaping Day forces a difficult decision for Katniss.  What would you have done in that situation?         I would have done the same thing for both of my siblings if i was in that situation.  

3.)Would it have been easy or difficult?        It would have been hard for my siblings letting me do that and easy to risk my life because I only get one life to live.

4.) If you are the youngest in your family, would an older sibling have made the same choice for you that Katniss did for Prim?                                     Yes because Maddie and Elliott both love me deep deep deep down

5.) Describe what economics concepts you have noticed so far in the novel.  The game name( Hunger Games) and over powering. 

6.) How might the title, THE HUNGER GAMES, be more telling that just a book title when it comes to making future predictions?   It could be a prediction by telling what kind of Game it is.

7.) We noted the quote, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."  How might  / does the concept of the Hunger Games illustrate this concept?       The capital over uses his power.

8.) How do the people of District 12 feel about the games?     Hate it because they about never win.

  A women’s last words were, “There is no such thing as Frosty the snowman, or any live snowman at all.”  Then she died.  But one century later someone proved her wrong. Till that day everyone fought, she wasn’t even famous I guess people took it the wrong way it was only an opinion.

     On that sunny day I was stuck I shook, I rubbed, I scraped, I was stuck in snow. I still could walk so I decided that it wouldn’t keep from getting myself some ice cream, so I wen’t to go get some. I got blue ice cream. I sat on the rock outside of the ice cream shop, where I always sit. I started to feel myself getting warmer and warmer than ever I felt as if I was melting. My sticks were falling off me than I realized I was a blob on the side of the road on the rock with my blue ice cream n my nose.

 1607   Dear diary,

                It took 2 months to travel to jamestown across the atlantic Ocean. 

        Jamestown is in the Virginia Colony in the Southeast region.

              When I came to Jamestown, we had a few problems one we had terrible water to drink. Two we had swampy lands that attract mosquitos that carry diseases   and diseases kill our people and make them very sick.  the problem I had was when I  came was you don’t work! You eat and look for gold. It would make you rich but did you fin d gold yet? NO! Yet you spend all your time on that. I came to put you to work so thats what I’m going to do. I said, “You don’t work, you don’t eat!” I was proud you worked and  you ate.I was confident I was not popular I was snoody, bossy, andI was a control freak.

        I was 9 years old when I tried out for the 5th grade basketball team. I went out on the court, having to think that I was not going to make it. I wanted to be point guard.  I  made the team I was so excited. I didn’t  become point guard.I was post was not my favorite position. I played their for a year. Than it was my time to shine. I became point guard the next year it was fun. I had a brand new team to.

  Du-dunt du-dunt , my heart pounding in my soccer game : we were against ann arbor.  One-half of my team is down sitting on the bench, hurt. But I’m out there playing my soccer game and owning my soccer game.  No one is going to win, unless it’s my team. Im out there doing my best their up bye 4 points. Were down 4 points.  Soon as I  know it their up bye 5.  We kick off we score 5 goals theirs number seven running down the field with the ball I ready,  she's coming towards me she pass- SLAM! I blocked the shot and I pass the ball up the field she's down hurt the reff does not stop the game we score and a chunk of my skin came out on my but we won I was ok.

      My twin sister , Sophia, ran into my room at 1:00 this morning calling “Sophie,Sophie, I saw this cave in my dream. My dream said it is were the Bath school bombing was.  We live in Bath, since they moved the school the Bath school bombing was at the park.  So if we go tonight we’ll be there by morning.” “Noway! I’m not going to this little cave you saw in your dream!”    “Fine whatever”   and she ran out. After i heard the back door slam I was worried. I ran after her.   I found her laying on a rock i said “You know I don’t know where this is, your going to have to help me, plus this is  going to be our adventure, not just mine.Are you coming?” So we ran to the cave my sister was out of breath I spent my allowance on her water.   We got to the cave we heard all the mad spirits then our flash turned off. We could and feel the mad janitor. He was mad and cranky he locked us in  the cave. I saw the button and threw the rest of my sisters water at it the gates opened we got home safely we found out the spirits told Sophia about the cave.

   Jackie Robinson is an african american. He plays major league baseball. Before he can do that he has to follow the rules to be in that league . I Think Jackie was before Martin Luther King Junior. So the colored would have to sit in the back of the bus or couldn’t go to school with whites. This is how bad it was for them way back until Martin Luther King made his speech, but that never happened when Jackie was alive. Soon Jackie made his dream come true. He played for the Brooklyn dodgers. Jackie broke the color barrier. Jackie got older and he retired he had a child named Sharon Robinson. Shirley and Jackie are alike because they don’t own a farm, the both never smoked, they didn’t take drugs, and they both were never bad people. There are tons and tons of things they both didn’t do and theres a lot of things they did do the same I told you that stuff just because after famous people they go off and do unhealthy things.
