Ski to Sea Jr dilemma

I have a very large dilemma. The Ski to Sea Jr. race is on May 16th, but I have a 6 hour Beauty and the Beast rehearsal on the same day. I really want to do Ski to Sea Jr. because I've never done it, but it's a really important rehearsal. I am very torn! The rehearsal is the whole cast, so that's very important.(If any one is wondering, my ski to sea team name is "The Bouncing Banana's Blowing Bubbles". Also, Beauty and the Beast is through BAAY.)

I DO NOT LIKE THE WASL. Every year after 2nd grade we have to take the darn WASL! It wastes SO much time, just to take a stinkin' test! 3 subjects, 2 sessions for each subject. That's a whole 6 stinking days! People say that they're going to take away the WASL and replace it with an even HARDER test! GRRRR!

Today is EARTH DAY! During class we went on a "Litter Pickup"! We used gloves and grabbers to pick up the litter. Have a happy earth day, and don't forget to love the earth as you do yourself.

I feel that the economy is upsetting many people and families. I really do hope that President Obama can fix the economy. It is putting many families in shelters and on streets. There was once an Oprah episode and it showed places that were called "Tent Cities". It is groups of people in tents. It is not legal, but people are put into bad positions. There are families with children younger than age 7 in shelters, looking for homes. I think that that is just heartbreaking. Many families have to cut their grocery lists in half to have enough money to buy their family food. Luckily families with low income can get reduced, or free school lunches.

Today is St. Patricks Day. I wore green. Did you? My friend BW wants to pinch people, but most people wore green. She is upset and sad. So she pinched someone who is wearing green and that person pinched back ... hard. Now her arm hurts. *TEAR*

Dear friends,
I'M COMIN' HOME! I am soooo exited to come back home to good old Bellingham. I really hope that it's not raining or something when I get there! It has been such nice weather compared to the VERY rare rain in Bellingham ( if you could not tell, I was using sarcasm.) I sure am going to miss my cousins Mellisa, Bruce, and Laura. I will also miss my Grandpa Althoff, Uncle Ross, Aunt Cathie and everyone else in my family. I wish that I would have all of my friends come to California and have my family stay here! Well, I will see all of you on Tuesday!( I will try to bring in photos and other keepsakes from CA.)
