Here are some things that I, (89 D) learned in this unit. I learned about something called a exothermic Reaction. I had never knew that there was such a thing! An exothermic Reaction is a Chemical reaction in which more energy is given off  than there is being taken in. That is an   I also learned about acids. An acid is a compound that releases hydrogen ions in water. An acid can be very dangerous, too. Some of them can burn right through your skin, or if you eat some of them, you will die. But you CAN eat citris acid. It is found in limes, lemons, oranges, and apples. There are many acids, too. Such as citric acid, stomach acid, vinegar, orange juice, soda water, AND drinking water. We also did an experiment with acids and bases. We mixed two substances together and it made a hot purple substance. I loved that experiment! I had alot of fun doing stuff about heat and matter, acids and bases, and everything else. I hope that we do something like that again!

Hi! I'm 89 D. My teacher is Mr. Lampus. I have a ton of friends in 6th grade and I'm having fun so far this year. I play ice hockey and street hockey. Hockey is my favorite sport. I also like basketball, bowling, and golfing. I like to play sports.

My favorite subject in school is either social studies or science. Social studies because I'd like to learn more about Greek Mythology. Science because I love doing all of the labs. 6th grade is fun for me so far this year. The teachers are really nice, they are funny, and cool. 6th grade is going to be a blast this year for me I bet. it is going to be alot of fun. i can't wait until we get to the projects this year. It is going to be fun.

I learned about expansion and contraction in this chapter. I had alot of fun doing the labs in class with my group. I liked the one when we had the balloon on top of a water bottle and there was a bucket of hot water and a bucket of cold water. Then we had to put the water bottle with the balloon on top of it into one of the buckets. In the hot water, the balloon blew up a little bit (It expanded). Then, we quickly switched the bottle from the hot water to the cold water and the balloon got smaller (It contracted).  I loved that lab. It was my favorite one so far. I also learned about expansion, contraction, conduction, convection, and radiation. What i didn't like so far this year is the tests. I don't like tests. I love labs !!! How about you?!
