PROLOGUE
‘What’s happening?’ I think to myself. Thousands of thoughts are streaming through my mind; People screaming on board the flight! Next thing I know is that I am out cold, separated from the rest of the people… stranded on a piece of air craft metal.
I feel the cool air that sweeps across the ocean surface. A shiver travels up my back as the metal is being pulled under by the ocean. I slip off the edge, the coldness of the water hits me with breath taking power. Unknowingly I float over to an island in the middle of nowhere.
A monstrous wave appears to just hover two feet away, then comes crashing down and with a hard fall, the wave cracks into the water. A gallon of water gushes up my nose. I pop back up, clearing my watery nostrils. I start swimming faster than ever. It’s about 10 meters before I hit land and I’m sucked under again. Just as I come up with one big gasp for air, I realise I am only a meter and a half away. I reach the golden sand that fills my pants and toes with discomfort and there I rest in the blazing hot sun until my breathing turns back in to a nice flow.
