Why did the African-Americans migrate to the north of America?
The African-Americans migrated to the north to have a better life because, down in the south the white treated them badly because their skin color is dark. So they migrated for their children to have better education (to send their children to school) because in the south the children had to work as slaves even if they were 9 years old.
In the north they promised them with a better life, but unfortunately not all their promises were true. Down in the south the African-Americans had to Work all day and end up sleeping on the streets and don't even gat paid a penny. But the houses in the north didn't turn out that good compared to the other peoples house. At least in the north they got paid. That is why they migrated to the north because the northern people went to war so they have lots of job opportunities. Down in the south the crops got destroyed from the beetles and the floods so they left because there was not enough food.
When the African-Americans got to the north the other Africa-Americans that migrated before them and the white up in the north looked at them in disdain. So there began a riot between the new and old migrating people on the job opportunities.
In the south they started worrying about who is going to replant the crops So at night the northern people started putting them in prison till the train left to the north.
We learned about stereotyping in morning meeting and that you shouldn't ...........

I picked making Cinnamon Muffins because my mom makes me them and they are super delicious, so I said to myself if I learn how to make them I could make them whenever I want. I thought that if I liked them, that would mean you might like them too. So below I will tell you how Cinnamon Muffins are made.
Ingredients, 2 bowls of 8 tbsp of sugar, 2 separate Bowles of 1/4 cubes of butter, 1tbsp of baking powder, 3/4 of a cup of milk, 2 separate bowls of 16 tbsp of flour in each, 2 small eggs, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 1/4 of a tsp of salt, 1/2 a tsp of cinnamon. Those are the ingredients for making cinnamon muffins.
And this is HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON MUFFINS,
First you add 1 of the 1/4 cube of butter, 1 of the 8 tbs of sugar and the 2 small eggs into a large bowl and mix well till it looks nice and creamy. Second add the 3/4 of a cup of milk and the vanilla extract into the large bowl with the other ingredients and stir well. Third add the flour, the baking powder and the salt into the large bowl with the others and mix well. Fourth after place the muffin sheets in the muffin tray and place batter on top of it. Fifth preheat the oven at 205 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes the place the tray inside oven, bake for 10 minutes. Sixth poke the muffins with toothpick and if it doesn't comes clean put it back in the oven for 5 more minutes. Seventh let the muffins cool off on the stove top for 5 minutes and then melt the other piece of butter. Eighth dip the muffin tops with the melted butter and afterwards mixes the other bowl of sugar with the cinnamon together. Ninth dip the wet tops of the muffins into the mixed sugar and you are done! That is how you make Cinnamon Muffins!!
So what do you think, are they super good!! Well I think so!!!!

I recently read the “Hunger Games” book by Suzanne Collins. The main character of the story is Katniss Everdeen who lives in district 12 with her mother and younger sister, Prim. Every year, each of the 12 districts has to send in one girl and one boy, between the ages 12-18 as tributes to the hunger games where they have to fight till death!
Katniss life changed when her sister was picked by the Capitol as a tribute to the Hunger Games to play a game to the death. So Katniss has no other choice than to volunteer to take her sister’s place. For the boy spot, they have selected the baker’s son, Peeta Melark. Katniss and Peeta were taken to the Capitol and are prepared for the games. They met their sponsor team, Haymitch (a former Hunger Games winner and also a drunk), Effie (their wrangler) and Cinna and Portia (their stylists). During this time, they have ceremonies and Cinna and Portia dress Katniss and Peeta in flaming outfits. Their outfits got more attention and gave them a better chance of surviving during the games. During the training, Katniss shows off her arrow talents to the Game makers and gets an amazing high score (11/12). But Peeta didn't get a good score (7/12). During the next interview, Peeta had announced that he had a mega crush on Katniss. Is this a strategy to help him survive or is his love true for Katniss? Is this all just a strategy to gain audience support and sponsors? Katniss thinks so, but it works well for her too, so she plays along. The day passes and they got in their tubes for the games to begin.

Now let the 74 Hunger Games begin=http://=http://!!! But if you want to know if Katniss Everdeen survived the bloody battle you have to read the book and find out!!!!
Words Meaning
Concealed To hide, to keep secret.
Condone To disagree or over look.
Venture An undertaking involving uncertain as to the outcome especially a risk or dangerous one.

Disintegrate To separate into parts or lose intactness or solidness, break up, deteriorate.
Tactic A plan, procedure or expedition for promoting a desired end or result.
Disproportionate Not proportionate; out of proportion, as in size or in number.
I really liked this book because this is the first book I read where I felt the emotions the character are going through because when the ripping came I felt very scared that I was going to be picked! The Hunger Games reminders me of the movie called Death Race were they have to kill each other till 1 man stands out of 12 in cars using guns attached to the hoods.

SUMMARY
The twins, brother Coke and his sister Pepsi, went with their parents Miss and Mrs. McDonald on an RV cross-country trip from California to Washington D.C. to attend their aunt’s wedding on July 4.
Coke and Pepsi were smart and adventurous kids. One day, as the twins were walking home from school, Pepsi noticed that a group of people with guns was following them. A woman named Mya popped out of nowhere and gave them flying suits. She threw a Frisbee at one man and it exploded. Another man shot Mya down, and was after the children. Coke decided to jump of the cliff but first decided to push his sister first. Coke and Pepsi landed safely and went home in surprise.
Few days later, while Coke and Pepsi were in detention at school, they smelled a fire nearby. Coke and Pepsi panicked as they were engulfed by fire. A man named Bones came in and snatched them up with a wet blanket and took them to the field. After they all calmed down, Bones told the twins that they were part of the Genius Files organization created by Dr. Warsaw. The kids didn't except being part of the Genius Files because it was too dangerous. But then they cracked up because Bones explained that they would get a million dollars when they were 21.
Coke and Pepsi got home and packed for their summer long vacation on the road across America. During the trip, the twins experienced many adventures. Along the way to their aunt’s wedding, Coke and Pepsi visited many surprising places like the Yo-Yo Museum and saw the worlds largest ball of twine, they even went to the PEZ museum.
On the RV road trip the McDonald twins kept on receiving codes and ciphers from the bowler hat dudes and all their codes said “MEET ME ON THE HOUSE ON THE ROCK IN THE INFINITY ROOM”. When they were visiting the Spam Factory, Coke and Pepsi spotted “The House On The Rock” and asked their parents if they can tour it for their upcoming 13’s birthdays. Their parents agreed. When they got to “The House On The Rock”, the McDonald twins followed the ciphers instructions and went to the Infinity room where they were surprised to find the creator of The Genius Files. It was Dr. Warsaw but he didn't seem happy to see the twins. He fought with Coke and Pepsi. The twins team up and get rid of Dr. Warsaw, so they did. Dr. Warsaw went tumbling down the whole in the infinity room.
The twins went back to join their parents in the RV headed to the I-80 road across America.
Reflection
The book is a fiction book with fiction characters but realistic locations. All locations and destinations in the family trip are real. So If I want to visit the “House on the Rock”, I can actually experience it the way Coke and Pepsi did.
The book gives you instructions to look where the McDonald family RV is on the map throughout their trip across America.
This book reminds book of my trip to Banff, Alberta.
We went to Alberta on The Rockies Mountaineers trains. On the train, I explored the many cabins going from the Captain control cabin all the way to the Glass Dome cars at the end of the train . I enjoyed the trip, we made a jigsaw puzzles of 2000 pieces and played Chess with my Dad. I enjoyed the view of the gigantic Canadian Rocky mountains and the frozen lakes from the train windows.

There were ten items on Coke McDonald’s to-do list on June 17, but JUMP OFF A CLIFF was not one of them.
CLEAN OUT MY LOCKER was on the list.
PICK UP MY YEARBOOK was on the list.
GET BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR PEP was on the list.
PACK FOR SUMMER VACATION was on the list.
But nothing about jumping off a cliff.
And yet, oddly enough, jumping off a cliff was one thing that Coke McDonald was actually going to do on June 17.
Not only was he going to jump off a cliff, but first he was going to push his twin sister, Pepsi.

I am a red blood that goes in a cycle till this human dies and that is when I will have my peace and quiet break.
My village is called,” Pinky of the Left Arm “and I come by my village every minute or so.
When it was my first time I thought I was blood napped by the other blood. They kept on pushing me through the vein called the,” Superior Vena Cava “. For a moment there I thought I was going back to my village but I kept on hearing the other blood talking about something called the,” Right Atrium “.
When I entered I saw the weirdest thing ever, I asked my fellow blood friends what it was and they said it was the,” Right Atrium “. I went to discover it before everyone else. When I was in it looked big but then the room started getting smaller and smaller. My blood friends were running toward me. For a second I thought I was going to get squeezed to death but then I panicked so I ran through the,” Tricuspid Valve “and never new were I was going. Then I realized that I was in the,” Right Ventricle “. I kept on running through a tunnel called the,” Pulmonary Artery “. It was like a slip and slide in there with no traffic lineup.
The lungs were refreshing from the outdoor nature pine cone trees. I felt relieved that I had pure oxygen in me.
While I was going down the only vein that carries oxygenated blood called the,” Pulmonary Vein “I kept on going down the vein, when I ran into something called the,” Left Atrium “. But I thought I already came through here but I realized that I was in the,” Left Atrium “not the right. The pressure was too much from the other blood. Then out of know were opened a heavenly door called the,” Mitral Valve “. I saw all the blood squirming out of here like being chased by a t-rex into the,” Left Ventricle “. The,” Left Ventricle “was pretty roomy but it is not big enough for a royal blood for me so I kept on walking.
I ran into the biggest human Artery in the body called the,” Aorta “. It was like a giant bazooka shooting us back to our villages.
I want back to my village,” Pinky of the Left Arm “by the,” Aorta “. I felt sleepier than a baby having a bottle of warm milk. I was about to go to sleep when the brain signaled me and said,” Get up and do it again “. And that was my story of my first time through the cardiovascular system! Blood get up and do it again! By that’s my cue!!!!

Yawning is common to all living creatures on this planet. Humans from unborn babies to great grandparents yawn. Yawn usually lasts for up to 4 to 8 seconds. There are many ways to explain the causes of yawning, but they are all guesses and theories. No one really knows the true answer of why we yawn. If you want to learn more facts about yawning, read on, but make sure not to yawn!
Scientists believe that tiredness and boredom cause yawning. When we’re tired, our blood has low levels of oxygen.
Others say that yawning is caused by lack of sleep. When we are sleepy, we breathe in slower. Therefore, we yawn in order to bring in more oxygen and send out more the carbon dioxide.
Other scientists explained yawning as a way to cool off our brains. Like a computer fan that cools down the hardware system, when the brain temperature increases, we yawn and let our body take in cool air. The inhaled cool oxygen we take in is sent to the brain to cool it down.
Yawning is also thought to be a stretching exercise for the lungs and lung tissues. Flexing muscles and joints increase heart rates, and help us feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Yawning increases alertness and attention.Breathing in more oxygen increases the heart rate and the blood flow to the brains. Extra oxygen travels to the brain to make it more alert.
Yawning cannot be controlled or cured. Even if we breathe in more oxygen, this does not decrease yawning. Likewise, if we breathe out more carbon dioxide, this does not increase yawning.
Yawning is contagious. If a person yawns in a room filled with other people, you will definitely hear responds of other yawns. Yawning balances oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood.
After all the research that I’ve done about yawning, I believe that yawning just tells us that we are really tired and ready to sleep.

Deir –Al- Qmar
Introduction :Have you ever been camping in the mountains where it is freezing cold at night, and your neighbors play supper old music that was made in the 1900’s from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM? Well I did at Deir-Al-Qmar and I wrote all about it.
When we were going to Deir-Al-Qmar, the bus was like an enormous limo with a giant flat screen T.V. On the bus, we watched “The Lion King 3”, so we wouldn’t whine about when we were going to get there. When we arrived safely, our coach Wissam taught us how to build a tent. It took us around 45 minutes because it wasn’t an easy task and it is our first experience.
We had lots of enjoyable and interesting outdoor activities. My favorite activity was archery because in Canada I used to practise and make toy bow arrows and now it reminds me of Canada. My least favorite activity was the hike. The hike was the most tiring hike I have ever been on in my life. I usually go on nature hikes but that is what I call a torture trail. the trail was too long and tiring, it took us 2 hours to go back to our tents. When we came back, the nice teachers were preparing our lunch on the tables. We ate macaroni with spicy tomato sauce with cheddar cheese on top.
On the giant sandpit we played Capture The Flag game. I was number 6 out of 16, I got called about 4 times to capture the flag. It was a fun game but sadly that game lasted half a hour and we tied 14 to 14.
We had a hour break. In that hour ,we played a game called “WAR”. In the WAR game there was a team called “The Posibbles” and since that team didn’t let us join, we made our own team called “The Impossibles”. Our team actually won by more and more people joining our team till the other team got outnumbered.
It was around 8:30 and everyone was starving to death. The kind teachers made us the best BBQ shish tawooq sandwiches in the world. Every single person at least ate 2 sandwiches. After that I felt super full I couldn’t even eat a single strawberry.
Beside the sandpit, there was an outdoor fire place with the biggest fire I have ever seen. Coach Wissam told us to lay on our backs and look in the dark night for shooting stars and constellations. I found 2 shooting stars and 1 constellation, the constellation was called belt. Coach Wissam told us a story of Coach Andre getting cornered by wild boars, also known as giant pig with tusks.
At night our neighbors beside ACS property put on Feyruze music for five hours from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Who parties in the middle of the night? That is why I only slept for 4 hours.
In the morning we ate freshly baked manaeish and there was 3 mystery manaeish. 1 meat, 1 spinach and 1 tomato and onion. The hot chocolate we drank was super good and chocolaty.
I felt sad when we were packing our tents and clothes because I didn’t want to go back to ACS, but we had to. The tents were very easy to take apart because if you pull 1 pole the whole tent falls apart.
We had 3 more activities to do. There was archery, crossing the sandpit without touching the sand using wooden bricks and the nature session. The hardest one to me was crossing the sand with wooden bricks because everytime someone wouldn't be concentrating and just lose their balance and we would have to start all over again.
The nature session was super relaxing, it was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. In the nature session there was rope walking I didn't get to walk because I hade no partner to hold me.
I was excited for the next activity, archery. The bow at the archery station was longer than me. When it was my turn to shoot I shot right beside the center. When it was Samy's turn, he shot the arrow at a rock and the arrow split into 20 pieces.
We got on the bus and resumed watching “The Lion King 3” but I still felt sad that we were leaving, but it was time to go. And so we left
DEIR-AL-QMAR !!
