*Bullying*

Article posted March 8, 2012 at 07:34 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 182

Bullying is when you are being mean to someone. The bully could bully people by calling them names, stealing things from them, pushing them around, and many other ways. I have heard of people being bullied before. For example, I have heard people being called names and people saying things behind their back. If you are being bullied then you should tell a friend or an adult that you are close with like a teacher or a parent. As a student, I can help friends that are being bullied by telling a teacher or a parent. I can also let other people know what they should do if they see someone being bullied.

About the Book

My book is What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen. This was an okay book. I have read 3 or 4 books by her and this is my least favorite. It’s too slow. Eventually it does pick up, but that is towards the end. And it doesn’t pick up much. A lot of her books start out that way, at least the ones that I have read. But unlike this one, they were more interesting. More stuff happened that was important in the beginning that in this one. I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend. It was hard for me to finish. In my book, the main character would move around and for each new town she would act like a totally different person. I probably wouldn’t do that. I would try and make friends and I would keep in touch with them unlike her. The main character’s father likes to cook and so does my father. I cannot relate to the main character very much besides that.

Motivational Quote

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." Theodore Roosevelt
What he is saying is that believing in yourself is just half of the work to earn things in life. You have to do the real work, but believing in yourself and what you're doing is a big part of it all. You have to keep a positive attitude towards something; it will increase your chance of achieving your goal. This could impact the world. One of the most important things in success is believing. If Thomas Edison didn't believe in himself then the light bulb would never have been invented. Same for every single inventor out there and that was. If they didn’t believe they could do it, it never would have been done. This can even impact me. If I don’t believe in myself, then I will never achieve anything in life.

Wiki Reflection

I really liked working with my partners from Colorado. I think that we communicated well and I don’t think we had any real problems with working together or the page. The only thing I would want different would be maybe to start the project earlier. A lot of people are really busy especially after school so they didn’t have a lot of time to edit the page. That is the only thing I think needs improving. I really liked this project, it was fun to work with people form another state.
