We are a class of Year 6,7 & 8 students, aged from about 9 years old through to 13 year olds. We live in a small rural community in the North Island of New Zealand. We have a fantastic school where we are offered lots of fun and challenging learning experiences.

Rippa Rugby/Touch Rugby

We’re at Reporoa College for winter sports playing Rippa Rugby tournament. Zooming past Broadlands and twirling around like a ballerina I go, another miss “here Grace” I shouted. Our team captain she head’s for the goal that’s another try to L.R.S say’s the referee, the score is 5-0 to us. Our team has thirteen players and two reserves which makes it fifteen, so far we have won two games and have lost one. Our team has got really good players which we co-operate well and we share the ball throughout the team. Ding, ding, ding it is lunchtime so we head to our bags and pull out some snacks and a drink before the bell rings, after some snacks and a bit of play we head back to the field we huddle into a team and make up a team plan. But we then found out that we were playing touch due to Ngakuru School not having any bands, well we ended up losing because we didn’t practice for touch but we went home proud of our hard work.

The long echoes from the horrifying hydraslide filled my ears, butterflies drained my stomach with terror as we opened the door. My body felt as stiff as an iceberg floating around in the Antarctic Ocean. I slipped as we ran on the icy steps higher and higher we went. My fear of heights got worse “finally, we have reached the snowing cold Mount Everest’’ Izaria yelled. The horrifying hydraslide looked like a cave filled with cavemen and red eyed water breathing dragons. As we slid down the hydraslide I got flipped onto my stomach and my heart started racing like a treadmill going faster and faster. As I got to the end Izaria and I went to the floatable. It looked like a rainbow reflecting off the water “come on Chloe” yelled Izaria “Na” I replied then she started making chicken noises at me so I jumped in the pool. "Ahhh peace at last." I said to myself 1 hour later after all the swimming I finally decided not to be a chicken and went on the floatable for the first time in my life. The lady told me that I could go so off I went just like a rocket heading to mars. On the first obstacle, until I jumped, I was yelling to myself "Yeah I passed it!" Jump!. Then water got squirted into my face and I fell off. The third time I made it but I was holding the line up and I could hear everyone saying "hurry up grandma!" Five minutes later we headed for home I was exhausted ZZZZZzzzzzz!

The end

I woke up. Oh yeah museum trip today so I better get dressed. Up I got, straight into my clothes. Yummy two packs of cakes, one banana cake and one chocolate cake and I've got meat sandwiches. we went to school. "Oh no it's raining. We dropped off the year seven and eights then instead of going to the museum early we went to Mrs Ellen’s house. Wow what a big house we ran inside, "stairs!" We all shouted. Settle down said Mrs Ellen. The teacher said we could have some lunch the bus came down the road “come on lets go to the museum”.We got there. Come on sit down on the steps so we can take a photo CHEESE. Here is your teacher his name was George “follow me and we will go into the learning room” we learnt about Mount Tarawera and how many times it exploded then we compared the Mount Tarawera eruption and the Christchurch earthquake. Next we went to the theatre to watch a movie about when the pink and white terraces were still around. After that we went on the top of the roof the sight was amazing. We picked up the year seven and eights from tech arts then went back to school.
