Sitting on the comfy chair watching dad as he takes the first sip of his beer glaring at the TV as the final kicks off I shake thinking that we’re going to lose. Then bam Tony Woodcock scored the first try. Me and dad jumped off our seats and dads beer splatted all over, I was so happy then French scored my face frowned after all that, the score came to 8-7. I feel the pressure thinking we are going to lose but the boys in black held the ball and the game was over. I jumped off my seat and shouted “yes we have done it beat that France”, 24 years waiting for the cup to be in the hands of New Zealand. I was at home watching the finals, where you were for the R.W.C and who will win the next R.W.C in England 2015…

brothers and sisters day

If you were to be an Indian and brothers and sisters day was coming up and you had no idea what to do well you’ve come to the right person. If you were a girl you would be rich. Anyway I will tell you later about that. Anyway the girls tie a fancy rope with a picture or a pattern to your right wrist called a Raki likes so.

The boy in return has to give them money or presents I think it isn’t fair being a boy because it never swaps around. Oh and the girls also place a dot on the boys fore-head with their finger next to the pinkie and feed them Indian sweets. The brother has to look after their sister for as long as they can.

The reason why Indians do this is because the sister is giving her brother her blessing and protection from evil demons by placing a dot on his fore-head. Then simply performs an Aritie by giving the flames of joy into their life and giving them no fear from flames and taking the darkness away to give him his happy life

awsome holiday!!!

Crash, bang the ladder had just fallen on me, all I remembered a man started to ask me a couple of questions like “what happened?” “Are you okay?” my dad accelerated outside once the man had told him what had happened. I look up and saw my dad nearly slip up on the mould that was on the footpath. I couldn’t move because my leg was jammed in the two bars that had locked my leg in. if I moved the heavy, silver, steel ladder would move with me. It felt like I had a big steel leg. Once my leg was out, it still felt like it was made out of steel. After the painting was done the house looked beautiful we destroyed our kitchen with hammers and crowbars and hands now the kitchen looks funny and freaky at the same time I don’t know why.

my culture holiday

Article posted October 12, 2010 at 09:24 AM GMT+11 • comment • Reads 135

Monday 11th October 2010
In the holidays I stayed home for the first week. On the second week me, mum, nisha and dad went to my dad’s mate’s house to stay for two days mum will be working at his fruit and veggie shop Saturday and Sunday when summer comes.

On Saturday me and my family and dad’s mates’ family went to a culture thing called Graba in Graba there are gods in a circle and we have to clap three times then swing your hand back and then clap three again and again until the music stops. If people want to go faster when it’s slow then they go in the middle to do the fashion Graba. At 10-00 or 10-30we had something to eat when we have something to eat we have to do arti and we call the food partice because we are around god.

I had fun in the holidays and in Graba and on Thursday Graba will end that’s the sad part of Graba. Next year Graba will be back.
