The Slender Loris, also known as Loris Tardigradus, is the rarest primate in the world. The Slender Loris is one of the smallest monkeys, because it is so small it can fit in a wine grass. Because it is so small it only weighs 130g, wow! That’s almost as heavy as a block of butter.
Appearance
The Slender Loris can come in three different colours: Brown, Red and Grey. They have large eyes with night vision to see in the dark and to forage for food. In between the eyes the Slender Loris has a white patch of fur. If you compare the Slender Loris to a lemur they would look almost the same, except the Slender Loris has no tail!!! But with thin arms and legs the Slender Loris climbs and swings just like us!!!
Diet
The Slender Loris are omnivores which means that they eat meat and plants. Slender Loris’s diet includes fruit, nuts, flowers, gum leaves some types of spiders, very small mammals, humming birds and insects.
Behaviour
The Slender Loris likes to stay close to its family, they sleep in groups of four. Slender Loris’s have night vision and so will hunt at night in pairs. In the day you can find Slender Loris’s sleeping in groups of four and in a tight ball to keep warm. Slender Loris’s only have one baby and will look after it for six to seven months.
Habitat
The Slender Loris’s main habitat are rainforests, wet and dry forests with lots of vegetation. You could also find the Slender Loris in the shrubs of India, China and Sri-Lanka.
Because the Slender Loris’s are so small they are easily stepped on or crushed. They are hunted for their fur and so their numbers drop by 10% a day.

"Are we there yet?" I asked Mum for the tenth time."Nearly" Mum replied. Finally we got there,it had been a long car trip from Wanaka to Tekapo ,2 hours and 30 minutes of sitting in the car. When we got there I wrote my blog and watched TV.
The next day we went ice-skating,it was soooo fun. I did spins and turns, but I had the most falls because my sister held onto Mum.We kept doing this till Dad came to pick us [He had gone fishing but caught nothing]. We got in the car to go to Rangiora.
When we got to Rangiora I did my blog again and had my dinner and went to bed.In the morning I watched TV and packed my bags then mucked around. At 11:30 we drove to the airport and returned our car. At 12:00 we got on the plane to go back to Rotorua. Finally back in Rotorua, too late to come back to school=http://!!!YAAAAY

Bomff!!! the plane hit the runway,
"OWW!!!" we all thought of how much our bums hurt. It had been a bumpy ride to Queenstown,a 40 minute flight had turned into a hour and a half.
We claimed our baggage and picked up our rental car, then went to see my grandma's old baby-sitter Myra who is 95 years old.
Finally we got to Wanaka and drove up to our rential house and unpacked our bags all exited about our ski holiday. Little did we know that our holiday would be ruined because of flooded toilets.
"Oh No" we all said as Dad told us that Cardrona was closed
for a few days all because of some sewerage problem. But all
was not lost because Treble Cone (TC) was open, so we
decided to check it out=http://
WEE!!!! I sped down the slope of TC following my ski instructor turning in parallel. When I got to the bottom I went
back up the chairlift and did it all again.
The next few days were awesome with fine sunny weather and soft spring snow. We skiied at TC for four days. Family friends also came to visit with their baby Amelea Lucy, Milly
for short.

It was 12 o'clock and we were getting ready to go on our South Island trip.
Brrrrrrr!!! The engines roared, suddenly the airplane sped down then runway. Whoooosh! The airplane took off. It was a long flight but finally we landed in Christchurch. We went to the baggage claim and then went to pick our rental car. When we were going past Northlands we realized that engine was overheating so we made the decision to take the car back. Finally we got to my Grandma's house in Rangiora, we unpacked our bags and I flaked out in front of the the tv.
The next few days were awesome, I went to Hanmer Springs where my Mum grew up, and also to Sumner Beach with my Aunty Lizzie from London to see where my Great grandmothers used to live. I also visited my cousin Jade's house in Cust where we made cinnamon rolls. They tasted awesomely delicious.
One night I sleeping my Dad's ancient brass bed, when suddenly I was awoken by the house shaking and the bed rattling. Grandma burst through the door to see if I was ok saying it was a huge earthquake. Mum and Dad rang at 4.30am to see if we were ok. Luckily Grandma's house was undamaged. The next day we flew out of Christchurch in a windy gale which made the plane shake like an earthquake!

Hungry
is a Fierce Tarantula
Digging its burrow
In the steaming hot African desert
Hungrily thinking of a tender meal

My skeleton plot writing sample.
Rosalind and Robert lived in an old Victorian hall. Now Rosalind and Robert were getting old and frail, they will have to move to a rest home, so they decided to sell the old hall. “But no one knows about the ghost staff,” Rosalind told Robert. “And the ghosts refuse to leave the hall,” Rosalind added. It was decided that they will sell the old hall.
But the ghosts made an agreement with Rosalind and Robert that the hall was theirs and if they had to share their hall they should say who moves in.!!
A truck load of people came to buy the house. First a family comes, but the ghosts scare them off by hiding under a sheet that is floating in mid air. The unfortunate mother thinks it is her son, and flings the sheet off to find midair. She and her family ran out of the hall screaming like a bunch of baboons waiting to feed at a zoo on a warm summer’s morning. Next was a head teacher comes but the ghosts scare her away by pulling draws onto her head (which really hurt). The poor head teacher ran out of the old hall crying like a baby waiting for someone to change it’s nappies after it had had lunch.
Finally a young couple visits the hall. The ghosts try to scare the young couple away by screaming GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! And other stuff like that. Soon the young couple find two ghosts hiding in the bedroom. The two ghosts introduce the couple to other ghosts, shortly after that the ghosts and the young couple make friends.
The couple bought the hall, the ghosts took on their old jobs and help the couple live happily ever after and a few jokes.
