Worst Part

Article posted June 8, 2012 at 09:36 PM GMT • comment • Reads 158

I think the worst part was when Xaafuun ripped off - I think it was Fooney's - arm. I mean, I could just picture the blood, and I could picture Xaafuun eating his arm, and I couldn't picture it. Well, I could, I just didn't want to. And I think lots of you know what I mean, so I don't think I would need to explain anything.

Well, I guess this is my last blog! Well, unless you count me coming on and saying hi to Mr. Volkman and stuff, but whatever.

Best Part

Article posted June 8, 2012 at 09:32 PM GMT • comment • Reads 23

I think the best part of the Doom Machine was when the little things that looked like snowballs attacked them, because I could really picture it in my mind. Let me tell you why.

Detail - Jack, Joe, and Isadora were going through a tunnel and I could picture little, white blobs falling from the ceiling and not falling off of them. Then I could picture the blood on their faces when it told in the book that they had blood on their face.

Settings

Article posted May 10, 2012 at 07:49 PM GMT • comment (2) • Reads 114

I think that all the settings made the story interesting, and I have just one reason, of course. And if I can't find a detail for it, the story wasn't interesting there. So, just read on.

Detail 1 - The story had just started getting interesting on Earth, when the Skreeps came and kidnapped some people. I mean, it may have seemed boring to some people, but Jack was fixing that car and stuff, and he was rushing that way he could get there and save some people on time!

Part 1

Section 1, part 1: First of all, I think that the Skreep ship had an interesting story because of the setting because it had all the plants there which were holographic, which means they were perfect to be put there. The first time they found out it was, they hid behind it anyway.

Section 2, part 1: I think Hellebezia had a good setting because when it said that the planet was completely green and flat, I could imagine that, and that made me smile a bit in my mind. Especially when you see a crashed ship, that makes it even more awesome.

Section 3, part 1: Arboria had a good setting, too, because it was strange. The people's houses were bubble-like, and all the trees were dead and rotten, and it made me think of a movie I watched.

Part 2

But it is still all very confusing. You can't pick one setting, you know you have to pick three or more. That's how you have fun, like me. I mean, I know it sounds kind of strange to have three favorites. Some people don't even have a favorite, and some people just have a hard time thinking of a favorite!

Positive and Negative

Article posted April 30, 2012 at 10:03 PM GMT • comment (2) • Reads 76

I think Isadora went through the biggest positive change because, I mean, she did something incredible, something we thought couldn't actually happen. Let me explain...

Detail 1 - When Jack and Isadora were stuck on Hellebezia, Isadora asked Jack how he knew where all the tools went and what tools they were.

Part 1

Section 1, part 1: Isadora put her hand on the ship and got all dreamy and stuff and she was explaining to them about things like what the ship knows about what the Skreeps do, and told her how to fix the ship.

Part 2

I think Dr. Shumwey went through the most negative change because she did something she wouldn't do unless necessary! Here, just read below!

Detail 1 - Dr. Shumwey put on the feathers and stuff because Uncle Bud asked her to. Then they could be king and queen together, because the Skreeps liked WOMEN better than men. They called Uncle Bud the second BANANA.

Section 1, part 1: Dr. Shumwey had sent her assistant, Mellis, out to get Bud for her, and they had their little discussion there, where Dr. Shumwey agreed to act MORE like a queen, because apparently, she wasn't acting like one.

Part 3

Sorry, that's all I have. I can't find any more details, plus I couldn't find absolutely ANY details for anyone else. That's it. If you want more, you might just want to talk to me in person. So, I'm available any time! :)

New Book Title

Article posted April 12, 2012 at 07:54 PM GMT • comment • Reads 118

I think the new title of the Doom Machine should be, "The Adventure Home" because it goes with the story, and when I say that, I mean it. Here's why.

Detail 1 - Jack, Joe, and Isadora are all living on Earth, so innocent and stuff, and all of a sudden, these aliens called Skreeps come and invade and take them.

Part 1

Section 1, part 1: Jack, Joe, and Isadora are kidnapped by the Skreeps, and they try to escape so many ways, such as crashing onto Hellebezia and fixing the ship, thinking they can go, or crashing to Arboria and going, and succeeding.

Section 1, part 2: While Jack, Joe, and Isadora are on Arboria, they meet some aliens called Zelum and his wife and kids(which I can't really remember). They take them to Nigel Dimplewhite, another human, from the future, 2207.

Part 2

So now you see. They are trying to go home, stuck on Arboria, but Jack might fix a ship. The other aliens they are with are, as well, against the Skreeps, and Jack, Joe, and Isadora are there to help, but also escape home.

Favorite Packets

Article posted March 22, 2012 at 07:39 PM GMT • comment • Reads 68

My favorite story was "The Green Man" because he learned a lesson. That lesson was seeing and being was he didn't believe. It may not sound that important, but this is why it does to me.

Detail 1 - Claude was talking rubbish about mothers and fathers putting out food for the Green Man, when they couldn't even feed their own children. The landlord did not agree with him.

Part 1

Section 1, part1: Claude went out into the forest, in search of animals to kill and bring to the towns' markets(if there were any, anyway). There was none, so he was going home, but got lost, so he took off his clothes and got into the lake to take a break. He had not seen a bony hand come out of the bushes and take his clothes, so he just continued being useless.

Section 1, part2: When Claude came out of the lake, he realized his clothes were gone, so he made himself some with leaves and vines(I think). He waited until a man came to their "house" and help him, but no one ever came. He soon found that the animals liked him, and he spent the night, hoping the man would be back.

Section 1, part 3: In the morning, when Claude woke up, he found that no one had come. He noticed some food near the rock he was sleeping on, and he got up and made more clothes for himself. -Maybe the man had come and left food for him, or maybe someone found him but had not been able to disturb him-

Section 1, part 4: A year later, Claude had grown a beard with leaves and stuff in it, and he found children who were being "teased", as I say, by a wild boar. He shooed the boar away and helped the children, and they asked if he was the Green Man or not, and he agreed with them and made them go home. He then cleaned himself up and went home to meet his parents again.

Part 2

So, that's why it sounds kind of important to me. He did learn an important lesson. "Seeing and being what you do not believe in". Please enjoy my blog!!

Fool's Pass - Who'll Make it?

Article posted March 12, 2012 at 10:36 PM GMT • comment • Reads 79

Ok, so I think that the humans will make it because humans are smarter than skreeps. I mean, the skreeps are kind of, you know... stupid. Especially Phooney, because he isn't the brightest star in the sky, right? Joe will eventually find out a way to get them to pass the steep and deep snow, and pass the Fool's Pass. The skreeps said that they can't get them if they're in the snow, and I think that by the time the skreeps get there, the humans will be in the snow and on they're way. Yea.. skreeps go to Skreepia to get more Stupia. Humans to go Earth to get more airth. Doesn't make scence, though, right??

The Leader, Idea Generator, and the follower.

Article posted March 8, 2012 at 08:53 PM GMT • comment (4) • Reads 116

I think that Joe is the Leader because he is good at protecting Jack and Isadora, and he took the way that the skreeps wouldn't have taken because they were stupid enough to think they would take the easy way and, some how, Joe knew they would think that just because they're worthless humans. I think that Isadora is the Idea Generator because she comes up with all the ideas and some ways to get out of trouble. She acts like Dr. SHumwey sometimes, and she doesn't know, yet, how to be a leader. I think Jack is the follower because sometimes he comes up with stupid ideas, and sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. He isn't as good an idea thinker like Isadora, he idn't a good leader like Joe, so don't ask.

Changes, Changes, Changes...

Article posted February 16, 2012 at 08:44 PM GMT • comment • Reads 88

I think CLAUDE went through the most changes because. . . .

[ first part of article ]
--> he didn't believe in the Green Man because he thought it was just 'rubbish' and the people of the village shouldn't be putting food out for them.
a) Claude went into the forest to hunt and got lost, so he went into a pond and just took a break
b) Claude lost his clothes (which means he didn't know that a bony hand had stuck out from the bushes) and decided to mend himself clothes out of nature items such as - leaves, twigs, sap
c) Claude soon got hypnotized (stayed in the forest on purpose) and was pulled in by the forest. He then became the green man.

[ second part of article ]
--> so, this is my point. Claude went through the most changes, but all the rest of the characters in the rest of the stories we read did go through changes, but not as much as Claude did.

Problems, problems, and even more problems

Article posted February 9, 2012 at 08:44 PM GMT • comment • Reads 74

I think what could have made something hurt them was themselves. I mean, the water wasn't good to drink if they didn't know where it came from. I mean, they were in the middle of the desert, I think... and so, there was a pond in the middle of nowhere, and then trees and other stuff started to appear.
