Computer Games

Today I found four different games to play online. The first game that I played was Shift. It was fun because I would have to stretch my brain to figure out the level. Shift is my favorite game out of the four. The tricky part about this game is that you have to avoid spikes while trying to make your way to your destination. The second game that I played was Multitask. The object of this game was to control up to 5 different games at a time. You start out with one game, but eventually work your way up to 5 games. After playing this game, I truly realized that you can't focus on more than one thing at once. The third game that I played was Fantastic Contraption. For this game you had to build a water contraption that would push a pink ball to the pink box. This game was hard because the water would sometimes push the ball to an unexpected place. If this happened, you would have to retry the level. The fourth game that I played was Auditorium. In this game the object was to place the correct arrow over strings. The strings would move with the arrows to fill the lines. This game was tricky because the strings may have been too low to move. All of these games stretched my problem solving abilities because they all showed different ways to get passed a level. Now I know that there can always be another way to solve every problem.

Google Earth Street View

Article posted March 2, 2011 at 04:57 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 199

Google Earth has made an icon called Street View. It allows you to get a closer and clearer image of a place. This has been made especially to display images where cars are not avalible. The great things about Street View is that you can see places for a possible vacation area. It can help plan the perfect summer vacation for you because you can clearly see the location. Also, if you happed to be doing a report, this could give you a picture for a report. On the other hand, it may display a picture that was captured of a person by surprise. This person may be in a position where he or she doesn't want others to see him or her. Overall, I think that this icon is a wonderful device to display an image. I think that a great place to show on Street View should be other famous monuments, such as inside the Arch. Another place could be the Science Center. Many people may want to take a vacation here, but don't know what the location would be like. Street View can give the person an idea of the location. The bad causes for this may be that people would only look at pictures on Google Earth and still get the full effect of being at the mueseum without even paying the admission fee.

I love pigs! They are adorable. Even though they are cute, they are also delicious! My favorite meal is ribs that come from pigs. Some pigs have black spots on them while others roll around in the ground.

Basketball

Yesterday we started our Basketball Tournament. We played against another school, Green Park. The Green Park team had all around skills throughout the team, but we tried our best against them. We ended up winning the game. The whole team was encouraging to everyone all the time. Whenever a player would come over to the bench, the whole team would give her a high five.  This encouragement  made everyone give 110%, 100% of the time. This has been quoted from my friend, Sam. The final score was 29 to 12, us. Teamwork was shown all around with passing and shooting. All of us, including our wonderful coaches, were very proud of our performance.
