Civil War Numbers

I thought that this would be a fun, awesome project and I was right. I took some time to research websites that could help you understand more about the math rated to the civil war. WWW.inversesquare.Wordpress.com, WWW.hpm-Americas.org, www.wvpt4learning.org. One of these uses college level math but I guess you will have to research these for yourselves and see.

I would like to be a Chiropractor because #1 they would make a lot of money and #2 I would like to take x-rays and help people who have problems with their muscles, nerves, or skeleton. Being a Chiropractor would be fun!

Multiplying Fractions

I liked all these games especially the Millionaire game I named my alien E.T, and i named the purple monster Hershey. The alien's name got me singing the song E.T by Katy Perry. This game was the easiest out of all 4. The one game that used mixed #'s confused me, so I exited out of that one. In the end of the Millionaire game I did not make enough money :'(. Tune in to my next article about Careers and Math :).

Solving Equations

I liked all these games, but I had an advantage because I got the mini lesson from Mrs.Smith. I thought these games were a little challenging, but it is fun to stretch your brain a little (or a lot). Solving equations are fun to do!!!! Same with PEMDAS!!

I really like this video I like the arguing between the computer and the narrator, but it ends up that the computer didn't follow the Order Of Operations and just went left to right. The narrator followed the OOO and even though it took longer he got it right!!

negative # game

Here is how you play the negative # game...... well all you pretty much have to do is click the balls in descending order. So say there was 5,-4,-12 and 7.The order you would click them in is.... -12,-4,5, and then 7. I enjoyed this game!

Well I played against HKK and we did not get to finish, but I had more in a row then HKK. Next I played against the computer and in my opinion if you can't block the computer it wins, but that is just my opinion if you want to figure it out yourself and see if my theory actually is true. So I didn't block the computer and it won. This game is fun!!!! It amuses me, but of course all of these math games do!!!

Sliding Puzzles

This game was confusing. At first I tried the 2 by 2 graph, 3 dots and four squares and I got it right away with 5 moves because it is not possible to go any lower than that. Then I saw that you could increase the grid size. I did that, but failed miserably. These games are fun that you post!!! I enjoy them.

Japan earthquake and Tsunami

I felt really bad for Japan but I did some research and here is what I found........180,000 have been evacuated amid meltdown fears. The island of Honshu appears to have moved 2.4 meters after the quake. Last thing I would like to share with you that is math related about the japan disaster is that the # of people contaminated with radiation could reach up to 160 if it hasn't all ready.
