Women in the Middle Ages

Women in the Middle Ages are different from women in this present age. Women had different roles in soceity than women do now. The role of women in society depended on what part of society you were in. There were two major groups of people the nobles and the peasants. The nobles and the peasants did many of the same things. Nobles would take care of their kids and also had a lot more respect than peaasants. Peasants took care of their children and their homes and sometimes even worked a job. If they worked a job they would be paid less than a man would be paid. Women in the Middle Ages faced different challenges than women in the present age do. One of the main challenges was men were dominate. Which means that they controlled what women did, how they did it, and when they did it. I learned a lot about women that I didn't know and I hope you did too.

We need to have people we can look up to. We have athletes, actors, actresses, singers, and a bunch more people that we know and talk about. Not all of those people we should look up to. For athletes it can be hard not to just judge them on thier athletic abilitys but we should judge them on their attitudes and what they do. We need good leaders and I hope more are to come that we can follow.

PREJUDICE- a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Sometimes we don’t realize what we are a doing, and we can be cruel or judging. We don’t think before we say we just talk. This is found in a lot of settings. We need places that we can go to and be left alone with out anything to bother us, but now it is SUPER hard to find places like that. Prejudice is everywhere it can haunt your mind. People are committing suicide because of prejudice. IT NEEDS TO STOP!!! School isn’t safe. Sometimes it carries out into home, so that makes another place unsafe. Stores show prejudice. Sadly prejudice is all around and we need to stop it. We need to accept people for who they are even if it is hard for us, because it only takes one person to start a chain reaction and that chain reaction can be stopping prejudice.

This semester I would like to improve my life by setting some goals. I have three different goals in different parts of my life. My first goal is in academics in academics I want to read more because I think that I don’t read enough and my other goal in academics is to make better grades in subjects I struggle in. The way I can make that goal is by asking for help in stuff I don’t understand. I would like to make this goal by the end of the school year. My other goal is Spiritually in my spiritual life I would like to do What Would Jesus Do and I would do this because sometimes I can be mean to people when I don’t need to be and the way I can do it is my showing Jesus and God in everything I do. My last goal is Socially my social goal is to be nicer to others that may not be nicer to me. The way I can do this is by being more patient with people that make me mad. I would like to have this goal done when I am ready because this is a big adjustment. I think I can make my goals happen.

Dear Diary,
I have a secret, but we will talk about that later. Today was my birthday I am now official 18, and I love my life. My name is Dakota Autumn. I finally broke up with my boyfriend Sean King, he was VERY arrogant.
I got this diary for my birthday. I thought it was going to be stupid, but I like it. I now have a new love. He’s a little older me and I think he is very sweet. We have a very strange relationship, but I wont get in to details.

Dear Diary,
Today was a great day. I got to see my crush again during Social Studies, and he even talked to me! I was in a triumph when I left because I actually had a conversation with him! When I was talking to him, I learned that we’re very different, but that just increased my affection for him. They say that opposites attract. Well, I am already giving away too much so that’s all for now.
The Girl Who Spelled Freedom
Oh my goodness what is happening are they okay?! I just saw a great movie called, The Girl Who Spelled Freedom. In this movie there were a lot of different changes in the characters I saw a lot of changes in Linn Yang. The background of this movie is, a Cambodian family that were slaves and are now refugees are going to America to be helped, and they fly to Chattanooga, Tennessee. In America the Thrash family which will be watching the Cambodian family and they have to adjust to their new life. What I saw with Linn Yang was that she was very smart and talented. In one scene George the dad of the Thrash family is explaining how to work things and is counting and Linn teaches him how to say it in Khmer. I also saw how when Linn went to school she was picking up on the new school life and adjusting fast. One last thing I saw was that she spelled really well and one the Spelling Bee. I think this was a awesome movie and very enjoyable.

Continuation of Creative Story
When she got to New York City she couldn’t wait to start her adventure of becoming a Food Network star. First Jordan would try and find the headquarters for Food Network and then see if she could go inside and talk to the producer of Food Network, but what Jordan was here for was to have fun and have a wonderful vacation. She would worry about this on her day.
That day was her brother’s day so they did what he wanted to do, which was go to the Lego Store. While she was at the Lego Store she couldn’t help but plan what she was going to do, but little did she know it wasn’t going to go her way.
Chapter 2
Jordan’s Day
Today was the day that Jordan would go to Carlos Bakery. She was going to go to Carlos Bakery. While Jordan was waiting in line to use the bathroom to get ready (New York suites are small and she is a girl she needs a long time) she was dreaming that maybe she would meet someone that worked for Food Network. She didn’t deny it though because it could happen.
Jordan had an interesting experience while she was there. While she was there you saw someone. She knows that person but she thought it couldn’t be him. She talks to her mom, “Mom, I think that, that guy over there is the producer of Food Network. Can I talk to him?” “Jordan if you are going to do that I have to go with you.”, Mom said. “Mom that’s okay as long as I can talk to that man.” She said. As they are walking over there she has butterflies in her stomach. She doesn’t want to be let down. As she is getting over there she finally remembers who it is. It is Bob Tuschman, the general manager of Food Network!!!! She was so excited. Now Jordan is really nervous.
Jordan goes up to Bob Tuschman and says, “Good Morning I am a huge fan of the Food Network!!!!” He says,” Really I wouldn’t think a girl your age would like it.” “ Well, I am not your average 12 year old girl. You might think that this is crazy but I have an idea.” “What is it” It was finally Jordan’s chance to maybe have her dreams come true. “I want to be the youngest person on the Food Network to have their own cooking show.” “Really” “Yes” “ I would have to think about that, but you never know” “Okay” Jordan was so excited her mom gave him her information and he said he would talk to them soon.
Chapter 3
The Waiting Game
Jordan had a great time in New York City, but it has been six weeks since she gave Bob Tuschman her information and she is starting to have some regrets. She thinks maybe he was a fake maybe it wasn’t even him, but Jordan wouldn’t give up on her dream some way it was going to come true.
One day she comes home from her last day of school and her mom says she has to talk to her. Jordan is wondering what she did and if she was in trouble. Her mom tells her to meet her in her dad’s office and when she gets in there it is decorated with balloons and streamers and a few of her close friends and family. Hanging in her dad’s office is a banner that says,”CONGRATULATIONS=http://” Jordan is surprised.
