Science Expo.

Article posted June 20, 2012 at 09:01 AM GMT • comment • Reads 208

On last Tuesday we went to the hall because there were scientists there. They first talked about hot and cold. Hot was like wriggling out just like, “Ooh I am being bigger.” The cold one was like this. They were not moving, but just a little bit. A boy was riding on a scooter and when he's not moving, he can't balance, and when he moves he can balance. I wonder why that happened. Then they got a bouncy ball and when it's hot the ball bounces. They put the bouncy ball in the liquid nitrogen, and when they got the bouncy ball out it looked blue. When the bouncy ball was warmed, the ball was normal again. At the end the scientists made ice cream and the flavour was vanilla. It was fantastic. When we finished the ice cream, we went outside and we did one lap around the field. The scientists came and they put liquid nitrogen in a bottle to make a rocket.

In the holidays my family and I went to Auckland because my Grandma was in Auckland airport. We had to pick her up. My Grandma took me and my brother to the movies because I wanted to watch the 3-D Lorax, and it was cool. First a little boy wanted to have a fluffy tree and then the story started.

Junior Sports Day.

Article posted June 20, 2012 at 08:59 AM GMT • comment • Reads 47

Yesterday it was Junior Sports Day. My favourite activity was the soccer game. The trickiest part in the soccer game was saving the other team’s goal, and I felt like I was going to kick the big all over the children's heads and score a goal. The funniest part was at the parachute and all of the boys and girls and ladies had a turn with me. The boys and I ran to the other side until the parachute landed, and the girls had a turn to go under. The ladies had a turn to go under and that was funny. The easiest activity was when you had to throw the ball in the hoop. The other easy activity was the hockey game.

Run, Bike, Run.

Article posted June 20, 2012 at 08:57 AM GMT • comment • Reads 40

Today we went to the big field to have a race. We ran and we biked and we ran. When I was at Larcy Road I felt tired. When I was at Neil Hunt Park I felt like I was going to rush. I passed Carter, Arama, Wyatt, Reef and other people in this class. I didn’t pass Connor and Herewini, but when I rode my bike I passed Christian, and then Christian passed me. When I was at the hill I felt fast. It was a really long race and it was hard.

I played armies at home. I have two toy guns and I have a little table. I lie down and hit a target. The target is for me to aim at.
