Hello, my name is Haley, and I'm in fifth grade at Saint Michael Lutheran School. We have a class mascot that is a rabbit named Snickers. We send Snickers off to another school, and they send their mascot to us. I'm glad you could read my very first blog entry!! We are doing really cool things in fifth grade like neos, and learning how to type. We're also working on states, and you can go to a website and check the weather of your state. My state is Arizona. I can hardly wait to go to Space Camp. This is also the last year we have recess, and the end of the year party. So, I'm going to try to enjoy it while I can.

Welcome to Austin's blog. This is Austin typing. I'm in 5th grade. some things we do in fifth grade is type on the neo and study and take lots of tests. My favorite subject is pe. I like the gators.

We started Weather Ham on September 2nd to October 19th. Weather Ham is where everybody in my fiffth gradde class talks to people around the world on Mr. Schwan's walkie-talkie about weather. The reason we did Weather ham was, first, it was fun. Second, because Mr. Schwan loves amateur radio. Third, because in science we were learning about weather in different places. Weather Ham was really fun.

Sorry I have to say goodbye to all my readers who read my blog this year. I have to say goodbye because it is the end of the year and I have to pass my blog to a new fifth grader.
Hello to the new fifth grader who is using my blog. You will have alot of fun with Mr.Schwan and this blog. I hope you like all of my blogs because I worked really hard on them.

Mr. Schwan was at a conference in Minneapolis, and we had two subs.
Mrs. S was our sub for one day, and we played Simon Says and Silent Ball. Most people know what Simon Says. Silent Ball is when you sit on your desk and you can't laugh, talk, or drop the ball or you are out. She also read a book called Flush a lot.
Our second sub was Mrs. W. We had Mrs. W for five days (she was Kiki's sister). She read Flush a lot also. We couldn't have computer because the power was gone, and the second time the computer room was really hot.
The subs were very nice and we had a lot of fun.

There is a lot of evidence that shows that God is the God of "second chances".
God gives Jonah a second chance when Jonah goes to Tarshish, not Nineveh. God told him to say a message and he did when he got to Nineveh.
God has given me "two chances" when I was bugging someone in my class and I got told to stop, but kept doing it. God was probably mad but he gave me a second chance and I stopped.

I recently read a book called Ramona The Brave by Beverly Cleary. The main characters are Ramona Quimbly, Mrs. Quimbly, Mr. Quimbly, and Beezus, Ramona's sister. I really liked this book because it talks about a girl named Ramona who gets in a lot of trouble and it is also very funny. Through the story she has times when she is very mad at her teacher and sad when she gets in trouble and her teacher calls her mother. I really liked this story and if you like humorous stories you will like this story.

I love St.Michael because the principal Mr. Ziegler is very nice. All the teachers are very nice and caring. Each grade has two classrooms. St. Michael goes from prek3 up to 8th grade and we have recess up till 5th grade. We still have P.E. till 8th grade. That is why I like St. Michael Lutheran School and Church!

What I Like About Being in Fifth Grade at St. Michael

What I like about being in fifth grade is P.E. I like P.E because you get to get your energy out if you had to sit out at recess. What I also like is band. I like band because my band teacher is really nice. One thing that I really like is his Mimio Studio. That is when Mr. Schwan uses his mouse to write and draw on the white board (from the projector). That is what I like about fifth grade!
