Hi, it's me Kylie. Welcome to my blog. I am in Mrs. Rhinehart's class and our mascot is Snickers or (Marley). Some of the things we do are studying social studies, science, grammer, art, P.E, and math. One of my favorite things to do in class is doing our neo. We get to take our shoes off and type on a computer thingy. I hope you will come back to my blog. BYE!

I am Lindsay and I am in Mr. Schwan's fifth grade class. On September 2, 2008 Mr. Schwan decided to do a project with his fifth grade science class.
He asked a few ham radio operators to join us for science class and report their current weather where they were. He thought it would be really amazing to hear the weather from people all over the world!
I said in my head at first, "This is a really cool idea . I can't believe Mr. Schwan thought of it for science class." Just between you and me I think the normal science is kind of boring. So this was a great exception!
I got to record the weather from a man named David who lives all the way in Michigan! His state had very different weather than here in Florida, and I was really amazed!
I never thought it would be that cool.

What Was It Like Having A Sub For A Week?

Well, our teacher Mr. Schwan, went on a trip to Minneapolis for a teacher's conferance Wednesday through Monday and we had two substitutes. The first substitute was Mrs. S and she was a little cranky, I thought, but during the day we got to play silent ball in the classroom. It was pretty fun. And she also played 3 really fast games of Simon Says. One girl won and two boys won, I forgot who. Our second substitute was Mrs. W. She is the sister of Kiki in my class. The first day and the last were all the same. Some people switched seats because the sub didn't know where we sat, and lots of people threw paper airplanes during class. She also read us the book Flush while our teacher was gone.
Overall, having a sub was sort of better than having a regular teacher because we got to do different things. But, now our regular teacher is back.

I think there is evidence in Jonah 1-4 that God gives you two chances. The first one is in Jonah 1 where Jonah gets swallowed by the big fish and prayed to God, and God controlled the fish to throw up Jonah. God gave Jonah a second chance to go to Ninevah.
A second chance God has giving me happened when I got into a car accident in 3rd grade. An old lady knocked some other car into my mom's and we all got pulled to the side. No one got hurt but the old lady had to go to the hospital.

My Favorite Book This Year

My favorite book this year probably is The Austere Academy by Lemony Snicket, the characters are Klaus, Violet, Sunny, Isadora, Duncan, and Coach Genghis more known as Count Olaf. The Baudelaires are sent to a bording school, and Count Olaf goes in disguise as Coach Genghis trying to steal their fortune. I like this book because I think Lemony Snicket is a good author.

The Things I like about 5th grade

The best thing I like about 5th grade is P.E. because we get to do some really fun things, but when we do volleyball or basketball I could really care less about those sports. Next, I also like band, because we went to a trip in February. The last thing I like is recess because it is fun and we get to do lots of things.

What I Like About 5th Grade

The things I like about 5th are the teachers. Mr. Schwan is funny at some times, and Mrs. Rhinehart tells lots of stories about herself. The other thing I like about 5th grade is band. In February the whole 5th grade went to Orlando to play in a concert, then we went to Universal Studios the day after and got to ride some roller coasters. The third thing I enjoy about 5th grade is recess, because Troy, Eric, Jonathan, and Justin all go on the swings with me and do some pretty weird stuff on them. The last thing I like is art, because you get to draw and paint, and I like that.
