My 5th Grade Blog
Hello! My name is Pierre and I am in Mr. Schwan's 5th grade classroom. I will be telling you about what type of things we do in 5th grade. I hope you like it!
Here are some of the things that we are doing in 5th grade. We are learning how to type on our Neos every night. We have to spend 15 minutes typing so we can learn how to type. We have also been podcasting in class. It is very fun, because we have to write a story and then we get to podcast them. It's really fun. We have a class mascot named Ralph the Ram. Each person in our classroom will be taking him home and writing down what they did with him. We use to have a class mascot named Marley. Once everybody got a turn taking him home and writing in his journal we had to send him to Newhall, Iowa so the kids in that school can write in his journal.

It all started Sept 2-Oct 16, 2008. Mr. Schwan and the entire class was able to use Mr. Schwan's radio to talk to his friends Slav, Robert, and Mike all around the world. This was all happening in Ft Myers, Florida at Saint Michael….in the US of course. We all did it because we thought it would be fun………and because Mr Schwan said it was mandatory. But we couldn’t have done it without Mr. Schwan because he’s the one who had all the stuff to do it, so thank you Mr. Schwan!

Hello this is Patrick. We are ending 5th grade now and we will be in 6th grade so this is my last blog. We had fun in 5th grade but now we are going into 6th grade. Good bye.
Hello to the new 5th grade number 3. In 5th grade the most fun thing is the Band trip. You go to Universal Islands of Adventure. It is fun.

Our teacher Mr. Schwan was out of school at Minneapolis for a meeting for 5 days. The first day we had a teacher named Mrs. S. She was a good substitute teacher. She let us play silent ball in the classroom. It is when you pass a ball and if they drop it their out and you can't talk. Then the next 4 days we had Mrs. W as our teacher she was nice. We finished a book called Flush it was a good book. She let us go outide for computer classes. Mrs. S let us have free time to do our homework and finish our work. I got most of my homework done that week. If we had extra time when we finished our work she would let us go outide.

Comment on a book 4/15/08
I recently read a book called Wild Man Island. It was a good book. The main characters are a wild man and a boy named Andy. It is about a boy on a Alaska kayak expedition and he gets caught in a storm and gets stranded on a island. I recomend this book.

Evidence that I saw that God is the God of second chances is when Jonah didn't obey God and he fled on a ship to another town. And God sent a storm and Jonah got thrown overboard and then it became calm. Jonah got eaten by a big fish and God made the fish spit Jonah out.
God has given me a second chance when I got mad at my friend. And my friend forgave me.

Two of my favorite field trips was going to Space Camp for 2 days and going to Islands of Adventure at Universal.
