Caring is when you look after each other so life seems longer.

Respect is when you care, be polite to people and help others when their feeling.

Honety is when you tell the truth, not lies.

Resonsibility is when you put other peoples things away when they don't ask you to and look after each other.

Perserverence is when you keep going even if you want to give up, just keep trying. Cross country is a good example of perserverence.

Blue duck poem

Blue ducks need to breath,
Blue ducks nest in twigs and leaves,
They hate boats,
And fast jet boats,
'cause thats how they might become extinct!

We shouldn’t have an internet password

Article posted July 28, 2010 at 02:40 AM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 234

Internet passwords are very time consuming for teachers. Have you ever accidentally clicked out of the internet? Well, at our school we have to get the teacher to re-type the password! Sometimes the computers exit themselves out, or come back up with the password box when we press any keys! Our passwords are enigmas with both numbers and letters as well as the teachers getting taken away from teaching your classmates! Therefore, I think we shouldn’t have internet passwords at school!

GOOD POINTS: I can use words that match my topic and I can use emotive words.
IMPROVEMENTS: I need to work on backing up my opinion with good detail and evidence and asking the reader questions to get them thinking.

Why Gary is the best caretaker!

Article posted July 22, 2010 at 03:41 AM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 190

Does your school have the laziest caretaker around? Well Gary our caretaker isn’t, he’s the best, and, he works at Lynmore Primary! The following are some reasons why he’s the greatest yet.
Classrooms, props, fences, gardens and playgrounds, Gary can build anything! He easily builds mile long fences and secure gates for our school, and puts together equipment for new playgrounds like spinning monkey bars to keep us entertained. He volunteers to put up environmental garden stairs and bird stands designed by kids and also builds props for school plays. Does your caretaker do anything like that? I didn’t think so. He’s as good at building as a professional constructor.
Have you ever cleaned dusty windows? Doors? Sick? Well, Gary does, and he’s the best at it! Some people HATE just walking past unmentionable messes but, imagine cleaning them up! Gary does it every time (without moaning or complaining)! He supervises at our discos and helps clean up afterwards as well all in his spare time! He even puts on the dishwasher for the teachers! Hoovering up kids sick and unblocking toilets full of toilet paper aren’t that much fun, but, Gary still does it. He’s amazing at cleaning!
Every extra thing Gary does is useful for the school. Mowing the grass is nothing compared to Gary marking out the athletic tracks and hefting the gear to heaps of different places around our colossal field. He trained the interschool rugby teams in his caretaker time when no one else would, and they won most of the games they played! He has helped our teachers with DIY in their houses too. He helps the kids do Road Patrol and even helps fund raise for our school. This guy is amazing and always does things for us outside his job description!
So, there it is: three reasons for our caretaker Gary being the greatest caretaker in the world! We are very lucky to have him in our school!
