Rosetta
Chapter 1:
Young Rosetta was a rich spoilt princess. She was travelling the mountains of the small valley called Norway. She saw a rock with a silver swirl on it. Then she picked it up and went back to her tent. She examined it carefully, “What junk” she said as she threw it to the doorway of her tent. The rock squeaked. She picked it up and held it firmly grasped in her hand. It squeaked louder than cracked. The split down the middle showed a little tail coming out it was all but confusing for her. One baby dragon. One spoilt girl. Now together she was a dragon rider.
Chapter 2: Stranger
“It can’t be a real dragon” her Sophia said.” It’s only a small chance it is though”. “Why am I stuck with it and this silly mark on my hand it’s kind of weird someone tell me what’s going on=http://=http://!! “. “Silence” a cranky voice said. “wh-wh-who’s there?” a cranky voice said. “It’s me a present dragon rider my name is Randall my dragons name is Xanthe and yours is a boy what do you wish to name it young one?”. “I don’t know Marcus.” “No you may not call it after someone you know, choose again.” “Ouch thorn” she fell into a thorn bush. “Absolutely, Thorn is his name then go see if he likes it now”
Chapter 3: Discussion
“So what now “ Rosetta moaned “we’re going to have a war” . “We?” he repeated.”We what?”. You and your dragon”. “Yeah- wait the dragons mine?”. “yes and youre supposed to address him by his name”. “fine Thorns mine?”.”Now you need to feed him”. “No he’s a dragon he can hunt for himself”. “he’s to young now get some raw meat and feed him”.
Chapter 4: complicated silence
“This sucks having a dragon why can’t I just get a ginger cat this is too complicated”. “You may not ditch him for a cat he has choosen you and you need to stick with him”. “How long”. “As long as life”.”Well I hope it doesn’t last long”.”Well you need to change your attitude, brat”.”You do”.”No you do”.”Then why did you call me a brat”.”Because you are”. “Shut up”There was silence at once. Rosetta was sick of this guy [even though she only saw him an hour everyday]. Thorn had grown bigger than her house and everyday she only feed him and left. It was now becoming a habit.
Chapter 5: ancient language pronunciation
“You’re going down” Max, Rosetta’s brother said as they were playing starwars [only because she had to]. “Rosetta, come now we shall talk some more about Thorn and yourself”. They both walked outside. “What do you want to talk about” Rosetta asked because she wondered what she would learn today. “We are going to learn the ancient language of the dragon riders shall we begin?”. “Okay”. “Say diosi claono miana”. “Diso Calon mini” It was a total failure. “Try again”. “Diosi colon mania” another bad try. “Again 3rd time lucky”. “diosi calaono mia...na “ she said as she once again knew it was wrong. “correct now say brisnger holania”. “brisnger hula no, no, no brisnger holania”. “good the 1st one means dragons are magical as for the 2nd one , ancient fire this controls fire”.
Chapter 6: enemies
“See you, love you, bye” Rosetta said as she left her family. She was made to think that Randall was standing there waiting for her but it wasn’t. An Uragal waited. Behind those shady eyes was danger a whole lot of danger, of course he was an enemy...

If we didn’t have values
Caring: if no one cared everyone would think about themselves. There would be no hospitals, laws or marriages. There will be no food for everyone humans’ plants and animals will wipe out quickly.
Perseverance: no inventions. Everyone will give up at the first hurdle. No books or new businesses. No new big adventures like climbing a mountain or travelling the world
Respect: people would not be nice to each other. Everyone will joke and swear a lot more. No one will help old people by giving them a seat. Different colours for different countries.
Responsibility: the world would be polluted. Everyone would steal because there are no laws. More unsolved crimes.
Honesty: lies all the time. Never know who to believe. Can’t trust anyone.

Dolphins, dolphins everywhere
Dolphins, dolphins here and there
When you spot a dolphin don't be scared
Dolphins are the only ones scared
Because they lie in oily beds
Not only you are always blue
Plastic covers not one but two
Myths they'll be if we don't stop fishing
Dolphins, dolphins everywhere
Dolphins, dolphins here and there

Dear John Key
Whaling needs to stop now its wrong and cruel. I mean what have the whales done to us. The Japenese are harmful people. There is other meat like pig ,cow, chicken and they dont need to force it into kids diet. Almost 12,000 tons of whale meat has been bourght back to Japan. Even if the are going to kill them kill your own! Really I mean THE WHALES HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH!!! My only point in writing this letter to you is that the whales need to live as long as we do. So please stop killing whales.
Yours sincerley, Amy Nattrass

We need to be able to explore the outdoor wonders of the world at school. At school these days all we do is write read and do maths. Boring! We should be allowed to get out of the stuffy old classroom and enjoy the outdoors by climbing trees or play an entertaining sport. Even if its educational we could still go outside to do projects on nature. how would you feel if you were stuck in the same old classroom all day, everyday? Well i surely wouldnt like it. outdoors is where i want to spend most of my precious time so why notgo outside during school time? Lets explore the outdoors and its beautiful nature you wont know what it has in store if you dont go.
Good points: I can use words that match my topic and explain my point of view
Improvements: I need to use more emotive and persuasive words to gain the audiences support.

best caretaker in rotorua

Does your caretaker avoid daily jobs and messes? Do they leave building extra things out of their jobs? Do they not do extra things to help out around the school? Well our Lynmore School caretaker Gary does all of that without saying never. Amazing, right? Well you haven’t seen the whole picture that’s only half of it so listen in and I’ll tell you why he’s the best caretaker in Rotorua...
What happens when your school disco is cancelled or that rugby team never practiced from a lack of supervision for the upcoming game? Well Gary won’t let this happen. Gary will gladly drop what else he’s doing and come right over to the rescue. Whatever he does he’ll do the job right! Like Road Patrol he’ll be out there with no worries putting kids and parents safety first. But it’s not all about safety for Gaza. He makes a great Santa for family fun shows by throwing out handfuls of delicious treats to us children. Gary’s also done fishing talks to us kids. All these things he does are above his job description but he does them anyway with no complaints. What a star Gaza!
Gary is like Batman stopping the Joker. Do you want to know how? Well I’m going to tell you anyway. When there’s a missing playground he’s there! When there’s a missing fence he’s there! He’s always there as I said Joker never stops Batman, Batman stops the Joker! That’s only a few things he does though. He makes equipment for children with a disability and fixes the horrendous dents in the walls of the gym and classrooms that kids have carelessly made. Well those jobs are all done. Why can’t we just whack a hard hat on his head and call him Bob the Builder because there’s nothing he can’t build or fix...
Gary’s a magnificent cleaning machine fighting against daily revolting messes. When kids have left a brown alert who cleans it up? Same old person, no one new just Gaza to rescue us from the spew .The hard work is all on when Gary scrubs hard at foul graffiti. Squashed chips, spilt fizzy drinks and greasy chip packets are what Gaza cleans up after each disco. Continually he tests the water temperature and chlorine level and scoops out disgusting things: plasters, hair ties and hairclips. Gary is daily sweeping unorthodox messes that even kids and teachers would run away from. Aren’t we lucky we’ve got Gaza? Well I think so!
So these are the reasons for why Gary is the best caretaker in Rotorua. You can try as hard as you like to find a caretaker so extraordinary as Gaza but I doubt you will. We are very delighted to have Gary here at Lynmore School and were not letting him go anytime soon!

Metophors
The moon is a latern glowing throughout a camping ground with wolves howling all night.
The moon is a rabbit quietly nibbling on a carrot in its giant cage.
Night is a pitch black room with a horrified child trying to sleep.
The beach is a sandpit in the backyard with plastic toys scattered all around the place.
Personification
The storm bounced through the sky and rebounded off the houses in the city all during the night.
The sea stomped on the beach during the tsunami in somoa while the somoans slept quietly.
The sun spoke out loud to the fox, so energetically and secretly during the night.
