My Learning Journey

Article posted October 26, 2012 at 06:43 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 348

My Strengths on my Learning Journey are my videos because I like speaking up and I think I speak clear.

My weaknesses on my Learning Journey are answering the questions because I, myself knows that I am not good at answering questions.

My future targets for next term is to answer the questions better and to do things better.

Queenie Retell Story

Article posted October 26, 2012 at 04:55 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 116

Queenie, an Indian elephant was transported to Melbourne Zoo in Australia 1902. Queenie gave rides to children and lots of children liked and loved her. Queenie makes children ride on him for 6 days a week except Mondays because they let her take a break and they feed and clean her.

Lots of children always ride on Queenie. Children would also leave food for Queenie to eat. But some boys were mean to her by teasing her with food and by sticking sticks in her trunk. Queenie just went to her dirty water bucket and went up to the boy and sprayed it all over them, leaving them dirty and wet.

Each year the children and keepers at Melbourne zoo would celebrate Queenie’s birthday.
After a while the zoo got a carousel and lots of children went on the new attraction as well Some children thought that Queenie was jealous of the carousel because the children went on that instead of Queenie. So they sent some letters to Queenie to tell her that they still like her.

One time Queenie's keeper, Wilfred Lawson, took her back because they were gonna close the Zoo. When he saw something on the ground and went to pick it up Queenie accidentally walked over Wilfred Lawson and he got crushed and died. Then they said that Queenie isn’t allowed to give rides even though the children loves her.

A couple years later war came. Queenie got less food each day and started to starve. Then, lots of time passed by then Queenie the Elephant was destroyed.

The forensic science was really fun. I learned a lot about finger prints.

1.People use finger prints to solve crimes and mysteries.
2.There are Three types of finger prints Arches,Loops and Whirls.
3.People's finger prints are different

Area 9's Assembly

Article posted September 21, 2012 at 07:58 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 123

Area 9's Assembly was about the Olympics. In the Assembly, I talked about the "Olympic Symbols" which are the "Olympic Rings."
This is what I said about the Olympic Rings "The symbol of the Olympic Rings are five-interlocking rings representing the five continents and meeting of athletes from throughout the world. The five colours of the rings represent in part in all nations flags. This symbol was originally designed in 1912 and adopted in 1914 by Baron Coubertin (The founder of the Modern Games)." The part I liked the most was "The five colours of the rings represent in part in all nations flags." and I didn't have anything the I liked the least.
How could it have been improved?
It could have been improved if I wasn't too fast and I spoke properly infront of everyone in the assembly.

Capital Letters

Article posted June 22, 2012 at 03:47 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 424

I know there are 3 important ways for us to use capital letters and here are the 3 ways:

The First way we can use capital letters is at the beginning of the word in a sentence. E.g. You should always prepare dinner for visitors.

The second way we can use capital letters is at the beginning of words in titles of movies or books E.g. "Men In Black III"

The third way we use capital letters is the first letter of a proper noun. E.g. The most famous singer in Maroon 5 is Adam Levine

Report

I grade my self 85% for maths because I am strong in that subject and I know I can do really well on maths. I grade my self 30 % in S&E because I’m weak at it.
My focus and target for the second semester are:
Listening to the teacher
Following Instructions and Rules
Keeping update and doing activities and homework
To learn hard and to study hard.
These are my Focus and targets.
I would also Grade my self 2 for term 2 because I know that I’m a bit lazy and I don’t do much and sometimes.
