What I have gotten better at

One thing I have gotten better at but still need to keep working on is cursive. Another thing I have improved on is being caught up with my classwork. At the beginning of the year I was terrible at getting caught up in work and kept getting more behind. Now, I usually am never behind on things! I need to still keep working on math but I have gotten a lot better at it! I have gotten better at science but still need to keep working on it! Everything I have done this year I have improved on and I will keep working on them! Next year in 5th grade, I will continue to work hard on math and science. This was a very fun year in my classroom!

A kind thing I have done in my life began when I was going through my room because it was a disaster. I started to clean up my room. Then my mom came in and told me to start a pile of the toys I did not want to keep. So I did that and I had a bunch of toys that were in that pile. My mom told me to go get a trash bag. After that, I put all the toys into the bags. The next thing we did was put all the bags out in our car. The next day my mom and I went to Goodwill to donate all the toys that I didn't want. So now some other little kid has my toys. I did this because I wanted other less fortunate people to get an opportunity to have some fun in their life time. We also love to donate food. I hope a little girl in our community is enjoying her new toys!

My Favorite Book

My favorite book is The Island of the Blue Dolphins! It is my favorite because I think the author put a lot of details into this book. Let me tell you what happened in this book. I'll start from the beginning. First there was a girl named Karana who lived on an island with her tribe. One day a ship moved into the land. They were called the Aleuts. Karana's dad said that they could stay on the island if they were fair. Then the Aleuts tricked them and said they were to get more of the food. It was war. The Aleuts fought hard and knocked down Karana's dad. Blood was flying everywhere. The war ended after hours. Karana's dad was dead and many other people from the tribe were killed. A few months later another boat came floating into the island. Some of the men came to see what was in the boat. Well it was white men coming to save them. Everybody was boarding onto the boat. When they had traveled about a mile, Karana figured out that her little brother was left behind. So she jumped off the boat and swam to shore. She could not find her little brother. Finally she saw a bridge and all these wild dogs surrounding her little brother. She made all the dogs go away. She begged for her little brother to come back alive. But he was dead. So she was on the island alone with no one to help her. A couple of years later another ship moved into the island. It was the Aleuts. They were starting to set up to live there. Karana now lived in a cave. Then, a girl came up to the cave. She found Karana. They became friends but then the Aleuts had to leave. Then she found one of the wild dogs hurt. She decided to keep it and she named it Ramo. A couple years later the white men came again to pick up Karana! Karana was so excited that she sprinted to the cave and packed her stuff and when she was turning back to get on the boat, the boat was slowly leaving. She was so frustrated! A couple months later Ramo died. Then Karana found Ramo's baby. Karana was still on the island for about another 5 years until she saw the white mans boat heading for the island! Finally she packed up with her dog and ran down and actually made it onto the boat. When she was riding to where her tribe was she found out that all of the tribe was dead! Now she didn't want to go home.
What a sad story that was! One other thing I like about that story is that the whole book made tons of sense and I just think it was an awesome book! Bye.

If I could go or do anything for a vacation I would go to the Bahamas. I want to go to the Bahamas because I have looked up on the internet places to stay there and there is a cool place and it is called the Atlantis. I want to go to the Atlantis because I saw that the rooms were so cool! They were also very very very big! They have the best water park! One of the slides goes straight down and into a tunnel. Then you drop into a huge pool. At the water park, there are some pools that you just walk in kind of like Wild Island. I would like to go to the Bahamas because I want to be in the sun and on the beach!

The motto for the Olympics means you are trying to be the best you can be. You are also trying to be the best out of all the athletes in the world.
The creed of the Olympics is to have good sportsmanship and cheer for your teammates. If you lose, it doesn't matter at least you tried. You want to enjoy the Olympics and always try to be your best.
My favorite thing to watch in the Olympics is figure skating. My favorite part of figure skating is ice dancing. I like figure skating because I like to ice skate myself.

When I Grow Up

When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian. I want to be a veterinarian because I love pets. I would be willing to do anything to help animals. I would do whatever an animal needs to live. I want to learn how to do surgery so I can fix up a lot of animals. It would make me feel good to know I have made an animal feel better. I have experienced pets having pain and needing a vets help. I have had two dogs that have needed the help of a veterinarian. I was glad we were able to get my dogs help when they needed it. Even though they were both too sick to survive, I know the vet helped them with their pain. When I am old enough, I would like to help someone elses pet when they are in pain.

A funny thing happened in my life when I was having my picture taken. I didn't want to and I threw a hissy fit. My sister and I were having our pictures taken at a portrait studio. The person snapped the photo and there I was with a pouty face. The picture turned out to be very cute. The person working at the portrait studio liked it so much, she asked my Mom and Dad's permission to put my picture in the studio sample portrait binder. My picture is there for anyone to see my pouty face.
