Train Ride to the Lone Star State

Thousands of trees in Arkansas, red dirt in Oklahoma, and the hot temperature in Texas; these are only some of the states I went through on my train ride to see my grandparents in Texas.
My mother and I departed from Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Amtrak Train Station. We had two trains to get on to. Our first stop was in Chicago, Illinois. Turned out that we were only on that train for two hours.
Our second train departed a while (I don’t know how long after!) after we got off the train in Chicago. I was surprised when I found out that my mother and I got the first-class seats! We were high up on the very top of the train. This was going to be and 11 hour ride to Dallas, Texas.
Mostly everyone on the train saw the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Illinois. The Busch Stadium was also in sight near the Gateway Arch, I found out that the St. Louis Cardinals are World Champions and their recent win was in 2007.
About a couple of hours later, it was night fall and we reached Little Rock, Arkansas. The capitol building was huge, and looked very much like the capitol building in Austin, Texas.
That night, on the train, I only slept for four hours! It was a very tiring morning for me the next day. For some reason the captain said we were thirty minutes early, so we would be in Dallas earlier than expected.
My favorite part of the trip that I most remember is sitting there on an empty chair looking to see when I’d see The Dallas Times sign to know if I was there or not!
This will always be an awesome memory that I will never forget.

“Oooh! Look, aren’t the fireworks just beautiful?” I asked my father. “Yes, they are.” Answered my father. “Daddy! Daddy, take a picture of the fireworks on your iPhone!” I exclaimed. “Do you see that I’m already doing it?” asked my father. “Oh, sorry.” I quietly said. It was about 9:20 p.m. by the time the fireworks started. My mother, father, and our neighbors came with their children. We all went together to see the fireworks, play games, and eat some snacks! The spot we picked was the perfect place, trees around us, but a big open space in the sky big enough for us to see the fireworks. All the fireworks we saw were red, white, gold, and all sorts of other colors. One of the gold colored fireworks had big specks of light moving around like dragonflies, and as fast as a cheetah. At the end, my parents and our neighbors went home together peacefully. It was surely, the best Independence Day ever!

Missing teapot? Mysterious friend? What else could go wrong? The book I read is The Mystery at Miss Abigail’s. This book is written by Lois Gladys Leppard, and the cover illustrator is Lori Earley.
The new girl, Faith, has a problem. Although she is a nice, quiet girl, Faith has been mysterious lately. Mandie, a clever, and smart girl becomes friends with Faith. While Faith’s grandmother is in New York for medical treatment, Faith stays with the nice and generous Miss Abigail. After Miss Abigail’s pink and white rose bud teapot went missing, Faith and Mandie found a broken piece with the same pattern; they wondered what happened. Who broke it, or did they break it?
One of the reasons you should read this book is because of Irene’s humor! She always makes you laugh. One time, Irene disagreed and got mad at something Mandie said! Another reason is you always want to find out what will happen next! Like, I always wanted to find out if someone will confess that they broke the teapot. My last reason is that you always want to keep reading because something new will happen. One example is when Esther quickly decided to start walking with Mandie and Faith!
I would recommend this book to children eight and up because you have to catch the clues to solve the mystery. It will take a while to find out who took the teapot supposedly broke it, but it’s worth a try! Just get up, get the book, and read till you’re done!

Meanwhile…
“Oxygena! Where did you put my Transportation Cape?” yelled Fironia. “It is right where it was! I mean, I can’t find it since I’m blind!” Oxygena replied. “Well, do you at least remember a single place it could be, or do you not remember a single thing?” asked Fironia. “For your information, I have a better memory than you! Do you even remember where Merlin’s crystal ball wand is?” asked Oxygena. “Yes, it’s uhhh… uhhh… in my room!” hesitated Fironia. “Never mind, just return it back to him tomorrow when he asks you for it. Let’s just go flying, because I need some fresh air! I mean a lot of it.” Said Oxygena. “Wheee! Later girly witches! Whooohooo!”Said Mr. Cronell. “Good bye Mr. Cronell!” The witches said together. “Ha ha!” they all laughed together. Maybe they could get along great together again like when they were little witches.

What is assorted colors,
And you see all around?
What is green,
And makes marks on things?
What is something you use,
That lets you play games,
And has a keyboard?
What are your answers?

I would see...
The creamy baby blue skies.
And white, puffy clouds
Roaming through the sky.
Cheerful laughs and giggles,
Would fill the air with happiness.
For I would taste the dust,
Floating up from the hard, dry, earth!
While I am laying down on the grassy ground,
I would smell the small flowers blooming in the meadow.

(Golden Key Leads to European Dragon Room)
“Hmmmph! Why can't I fly? Zhooo! Ughhh! This useless magic doesn't work at all! Mona, fast fly me!” yelled the Frost Servant. “Yes sir, I'll be on it right away!” Beep, beep! “ Thank you, now for the key. Oops, I stepped on it! Oh no! The key broke. What will I tell master?” whined the Frost Servant.
“What do you want to tell me?” asked the master. “ Oh nothing, just that I have the key! Hesitated the Frost Servant. “ I know you are lying to me Dodger!” yelled the Frost Servant. “ Yes, I am. I broke the key.” “You what?!?!” “ I b-r-o-k-e t-h-e k-e-y!” “ Oh I heard you! Just go and get the extra in the chest to your left.” the Master said while he pointed. “ Yes sir, I am so going to be on it. See ya later alligator!” Dodger said. “ Don't you ever talk to me like that, you got it! Now, good bye!” snapped the Master.
