Hello My name is Ian Stone I chose Japan=http://=http://!! Japan's christmas greeting is Shinnen Omedeto.

Ornaments are made of paper (the ornaments are origami). The crane is a symbol of peace and long life. Japan is not a christian country although christmas is still celebrated by some areas that are mostley christia. most holiday traditions are western but some Japanese touches have been added.   The nativity play is one of these traditions the children will often be dressed in native costume rather then the traditional costumes

Biome

Article posted November 9, 2012 at 09:04 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 378

For my biome I had the woods

1st orginisam (squirrel) They make nests( to live in) in trees and they eat acorns and nuts.

Cool fact: You can tell if its a squirrel nest if its made of leaves or leaves and some twigs

2nd Orginisam (robin) They also make nests in trees and they make them out of twigs and sticks. They eat Seeds, Berryies, worms

3rd Orginisam (trees) The trees found in the woods are trees with llllllloooottttttssss of leaves=http://! that arent very tall most of the time sometimes you find tall trees with lots of branchs to climb on

I would not want to vist the biome (sadly my house is surounded by woods) becuase I would likely get lots of ticks

When we did The monster project I learned how to be a critical friend, I learned how to give people warm and cool comments, I got better at communicating with other people when we planned how we would attach are parts and where we would put them.

Video Games

I just read one of the nonfiction books in MRS. Berkman's room. Its called video games. I learned some cool things like the first console was made in 1972, it was called the Magnavox Odyssey. It was created by Ralph H. Baer AKA the Grandfather of Video Games. Next time you have Core Connections get this book from the box of books to learn more about current video gaming and the History of video games

Some people live in houses, apartments, some live in the suburbs or some in the country. Do you ever think of were you might live when you grow up, Have you ever thought of living on a boat. Houseboats are boats the built or remodeled to be used for a long period of time. Some houseboats don't even travel they just are tied to docks, but most house boats are made to travel through lakes, rivers and sometimes oceans. If you visit any large lakes iin the U.S, you'll find houseboats. Some people just rent houseboats. Today neighborhoods of houseboats can be found in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon
