Holidays

In a Native American x-mas they do not hang lights in a tree. They also have mirrors all around their tree to keep away bad spirits. Corn shells and other natural recources are put on the tree for decorations instead of glass bulbs. They take turkey fethers and let them fly away in the wind because they think turkey feathers symbolize eagles feathers symbolizing heaven and earth. They gave chikala dolls to their children and whats special about them is they have no faces they want the child imagination the create a face for them. They made ordaments made from sweet grass in the shape of eyes because they belived it also keeped away bad spirits just like the mirrors. oOk well that is my five facts about Native American x-mas thanks for reading till naxt time

This article I want to write about the time my best friend fell in a pond. So lets go back about one year at a tennis party at our neighborhood clubhouse. To you who dont know what that is it is a gigantic building with a gameroom dining room kitchen tv room upstairs its got alot. So back to the story me and my friends Harry, Connor, Luke, Bella, Natilie, Larean, and last but not least me. All of us were hanging out by the bridge that goes over our huge neighborhood lake/pond not very sure what it is. We were allhanging our feet over the side of the bridge. Then Connor saidwe should play hide and go seek. We all had nothing better to do so we went along with it. Ok Connor said whos it. Everybody froze and stared at Harry. Ok whats new harry said. Ok to be safe you must make it back to the bidge Connor said. Harry started counting. Me and Bella hid under two cars. I saw luke and Natilie climb into trees And Connor hid in a very noticeable bush. When Harry started looking me and Bella ran for the bridge but i got cut off by Harry and jump in a bush that left a bruse for a long time. He left me alone to rin and Bella made it to the safe spot. Luke started crawling to the safe spot and he made it surpriseingly he was makeing mor noise than the thanksgiveing parade. Somehow Natilie made it belive me that girl is like a ninja. Me and Connor were left I started to dart but there was Harry puppy guarding the safe spot I was still determened to get safe. But then out of nowhere Connorcame and pushed Harry in the pong! After that Harry and Connor never really talked to each othen. Well thats about it till next time Andrew Quick.

Ok im writeing this article do to the recent inccidents caused by reptiles. First of all naturaly reptiles would not attack people. They will only attack is frightened or threatened. People should not try to take care of the proplem themselves they should call 911 and go indoors. Me myself used to be afraid of reptiles I mean scared silly of them. Until i saw a garden snake I wanted to run but instead I stoped and stared at it. My brother of course ran inside and told my dad. By the time he could grab a shovel and get outside i already had the snake slithering down and up my arm. Ever since that day ive been fasanated by the wonderful creatures. So this article was just to say dont mess with reptiles unless you now what you are doing. I myself am getting a reptile this year for x-mas. It is a bearded dragon. They are useally very docile but they have a mean bite I can tell you that from experience it really hurts! So be safe and next time your dad come out with a shovel say whoh what are you doing just let it go away they are very very nice cretures. But if your dad is determened to destroy the reptiles well I'd tip my hat and say goodbye old frend. Until next time your friend the reptile lover Andrew Quick Stay fresh PEACE!

Biome Blog

Article posted November 2, 2012 at 02:34 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 552

My biome is the Alpine Tundra. There are lots of animals in the tundra but these three really stand out. The tundran eagle flys up in the air and floats in one spot when a field rat is right below it it dives down at 70 mph and snatches it up. Another animal is the tundran beaver rat. Every morning it comes out of its hollow and runs away sometimes more than 10 mmiles builds another hollow and stays there for the night and repeats every morning. The last animal is the tundran bull the horns on the tundran bull grow to 2 feet tall and they are curley it grases in packs and when predators come they huddle with the babbies in the middle. Till next time Andrew Quick.

Project Learning

In the great makeing of the monster I learned about teamwork and how you can never do anything like that alone. You need critical freinds that tell you whats good and what needs work on. Anoyther thing I learned was that without other people you wouldent find mistakes that other people would find. The last thing I learned was that After all the time and work that goes into something it will always turn out good and if its a monster your building it will always turn out scary.

El Chupacabra

My wonder is #679 What is a El Chupacabra.
One thing i learned about it was that El means to suck and Chupacabra means goat. Thats how it got its nickname the goatsucking monster. Most all reports of it came from Mexico. The first report of it was in 1995 in a small village or town they said that when they woke up half of their livestock was eaten alive.
My wonder word is livestock and I think it is a older word for farm animals.
