I read lunckbox and the aliens. I wanted to read this book because when Mrs. Berkman read the back it sounded very intresting. A exiting part of the book was when lunchbox attacked the mayor. I would recomend this book. I would recomend this book because it has lots of action in it.

how fast can a tank move

Article posted March 15, 2012 at 03:39 PM GMT • comment • Reads 308

Have you ever how fast a tank can move or what catipiler tracks are? Tanks can move at differant speeds. It depends on what the tank terrain is and what kind of tank it is.Some tanks can go about 25mph on dirt but about 40 on the road. some have gone 60 to 70mph!But tanks are not really built for speed. The tanks tires are made of medel chains.they make continous tracks or catipiller tracks. Rubber tires would not work on a tank because they do not have enough traction and they could pop.

catipiller=continous. the tank is making catipiller tracks

terrain=type of ground. I am walking on a dirt terrain

traction=grip between ground and wheel. This tank has good traction

My thought on poetry

Article posted February 20, 2012 at 08:04 PM GMT • comment • Reads 326

I like the book the giving tree.some authers I like are Shel Silverstein, Jack Perlutsky and Emily Dickenson. I also like silly poems. I am good at finding end rhyme and onimatapeda. I think I will use end rhyme because I am good at it. I will most likely make silly poems because I am good at making them.

I cannot go to school today

Article posted February 6, 2012 at 08:58 PM GMT • comment (1) • Reads 414

"I cannot go to school today"

Said little Peggy Ann McKay.

"I have the measles and the mumps,

A gash, a rash and purple bumps.

My mouth is wet, my throat is dry.

I'm going blind in my right eye.

My tonsils are as big as rocks,

I've counted sixteen chicken pox.

And there's one more - that's seventeen,

And don't you think my face looks green?

My leg is cut, my eyes are blue,

It might be the instamatic flu.

I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,

I'm sure that my left leg is broke.

My hip hurts when I move my chin,

My belly button's caving in.

My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,

My 'pendix pains each time it rains.

My toes are cold, my toes are numb,

I have a sliver in my thumb.

My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,

I hardly whisper when I speak.

My tongue is filling up my mouth,

I think my hair is falling out.

My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,

My temperature is one-o-eight.

My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,

There's a hole inside my ear.

I have a hangnail, and my heart is ...

What? What's that? What's that you say?

You say today is .............. Saturday?

G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

I like this poem because it has rhym.I also like it because it is funny.

have you ever wondered what makes flamingos pink.Baby flamingos are grey when they are born. But they only eat shrimp and alge. They are high in pigments called carotenoids, that is also the reason that shrimp turn from grey to pink when we boil them.If a flimingo stops eating shrimp it feathers colors will fade.

ornithology is the study of birds. I study omnithology

a habitat is a place where a kind of animal lives.this is a habitat.
