DEAR KING GEORGE THE 3RD,

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

IN CONGRESS MAY 22, 2009

THE UNANIMOUS DECLARATION OF THE FIFTY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Our fifty United States of America all agree that your orders are un-fair and disrespectful to your colonist. We also think we are ready to be a independent country, and not part of you. We have declared a revolution on your country, (Britain) and your people, (British) we do not want any war, we ask you to please let us break apart from you without any war, we understand that won’t happen, and we are willing to declare war with you.

A good government does not treat their colonist’s poorly, for example, taxing us without talking to us about it too, is not right. A king is supposed to keep their country and colonist’s happy, and proud for that king, to be their king. You, King George the 111, did not make us think that way. Also, you do not start war with your colonist’s. We, the United States of America, will have a good government, one where we treat everyone fairly and correctly.

Our complaints are the Boston tea party, you taxing us, without our representation, was not right. Then when you blocked Boston Harbor so no valuables or letters could get through, what if someone had been waiting for a letter from the son or daughter in Britain? If I lived in Britain I would want a new king!

Signed by,

Bex

Favorite Sculpture

Article posted May 8, 2009 at 12:06 PM GMT-8 • comment (1) • Reads 1391

On Wednesday, my class went on a field trip to the  University. We went there to look at the sculptures and talk about them. There were tons of sculptures there, one that looks like Darth Vador, one were a ton of little people were holding up giant rocks, one rock scupture that was like a compass, and many more. Allthough, one of these was my absolute favorite. The compass like one! We even got 8 people in one of the windows! It was really fun, except for the really gross white stuff growing on top of the windows. It was really fn field trip! See you soon!

Article posted April 16, 2009 at 02:14 PM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 1514

Question: What is your fav video game and why? Do you have have a fav TV chararcter? Why did you choose this character?

My favorite video game is Mario Party 8 because you can play lots of games and I really really like the varitiy. I always choose the character Yoshi, because he is so cute!

My favorite T.V character is Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. He is my favorite character because he has such a personality. He walks sort-of funny too!  The whole gang is so awesome! My favorite character from a Movie is Alice from Twilight! Twilight is so cool! Anyway, thats it for now!

Spring Break

Spring Break

By Bex

My Spring break this year was okay, but it could have been better. I did visit one friend, and spent the night at her house. We did air hockey and played guitar hero. For most of the time I just sat around at home, watching TV, like the discovery channel, we only have channels up to 30. Or I would go on the computer, on computer I would webkinz, check my e-mail, and do roller coaster tycoon. But I did re-organize my room. I got a desk in there (finally, it is hard doing your homework on the floor) and I turned my bed the other way. I also got my friends bed out of my room and into our office, since my friend had been living with me for a few months.

Brother and me had a rubber band fight. He taught me how to fire a rubber band, with it looking like a gun. You wrap a rubber band around your pinkie, and then you hook it onto your pointer finger. Then you release your pinkie, and the rubber band flies. Soon it got boring though.

On Easter, I got a giant chocolate hollow bunny, along with a small not hollow, chocolate bunny. And all the other typical things you get in your Easter basket. I also did an Easter egg hunt, right in my house. I got $11.00 exactly. So did my brother. Now I have $46.00. For Easter dinner we had Turkey, Perogies (a polish dish), buns, and carrots. I was dreading going back to school on Monday, but now it is not that bad. Bye for now!

MonkZe

Article posted March 16, 2009 at 12:30 PM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 258

MonkZe

A part monkey part zebra

If you like animals, you’ll love this one. It was spotted in the Amazon forest, by a girl named Katherine. What she saw, or, in her description, “A tail, face, and paws just like a monkey. And a body stripped black and white like a zebra.” She wanted it to be named Monkze for monkey and zebra.

ZeKe

Some say they wish for it to be name ZeKe instead of MonkZe. We are still debating what it will be called. That is it for now!

A river

Article posted January 23, 2009 at 11:50 AM GMT-8 • comment (3) • Reads 1276

A River.

Splashing with waves, cold, soggy and wet.

Full of creatures, some not even bigger then a speck.

Vast and wide, flowing at an even speed.

A boat, flowing across the river freely.

The fish below, moving fast, with twitchy, thin sweeps.

The sun, beating down upon it.

A River

Silly Story 11

Article posted January 22, 2009 at 12:18 PM GMT-8 • comment • Reads 1267

When I was at the park, I was cooking up a remedy. I would repeat my experiment more then once to make sure I got it right. It ended up being a brief cooking time. Maybe I will succeed my cooking test. I am almost sure I will receive the prize. I love to compete in cooking. They always have a procession of different countries participating. Every year the workers shout, “Proceed with the cooking!” The competition is called The Cook, not that fun, but it works. Afterward there is a reception with great food.

Would you believe the first time I Started cooking I was two years old? I even got a miniature stove that you can’t burn yourself on, great for littleones who love to cook. Half of my house is the kitchen! Shockingly I don’t like the food I cook, but others do.

Silly Story 10

The book I am writing is called Volcanic Gravity. I may change the title, but this is it!

“Did you know a volcano has natural gas? You can even relate that to people! Ha Ha Ha!”

Don’t you just love it? It’s always good to have a joke once in a while! All right now back to the story.

“The majority of a volcano’s gravity…blah blah blah.”

That’s the boring story, how about this one. It’s much more fun. Although, this ones not as famous. Anyway, this story is called The Nature Grave.

“There is a major problem.” Isn’t that just so tempting to not put down! You do want to know what the problem is, right? Please listen next week for more details. Bye!

“You have 10 more minutes,” the recorder said.

Oh, my books are being sold for $20 each. I am sorry to say this but, um,…there is going to be an extra long break, so…bye!

Snow Day

Article posted January 5, 2009 at 02:14 PM GMT-8 • comment (1) • Reads 1425

Snow! We got a ton, like almost a foot! I couldn’t really do that much out side because it was so cold, but I got to go sledding with my friend. I was really glad there was some still left on Christmas. That hardly ever happens!

Every year I make a snowball, and put it in the freezer. Even though it will evaporate. I had actually tried making a snowman out of it, but it hadn’t been good packing snow. In the freezer there still was Popsicles in there from summer! They didn’t look good at all.

My cousins’ total had gotten around four feet! They won’t be able to go to school for a really long time! It would get really boring in the house that long. Especially when there is No TV and No computers. You would get tired of all that snow after a while.

I have been drinking lots of hot coca too. Sadly all our snow is gone. (Pretty much, except for the once in a while piles.)
