 13-3 R.A.F.T A - Myself F - Diary entry T - What kind of government did the United States Constitution create? Dear Diary, Today I just learned how the new Central Government is going to work. The system is called Checks and Balances. It’s where there are three branched of government, the Judicial, Executive, and Legislative. No one branch can do something without another. So even though the President can order troops to attack only Congress can declare war. Do you see how it works? This was made so that no one branch could have to much power. I think that the Americans didn’t want what happened to Britain to happen to them. Each Branch is important in the success of the other branches cause if they were not there there would be too much power somewhere. The system of Checks and Balances is really smart I think. I mean what country else other than America would think of something like that? Certainly not Britain if you know what I mean!
