A big thank you to all the schools out there in the world who have this year made blogging a success for my class.
THANK YOU!
We have had a wonderful time this year chatting, sharing news and generally enjoying your company.
Enjoy your summer as we get ready to enjoy ours. As you can see from the picture below we have had contact with many countries, and our global knowledge
has gotten much better !

Today as part of our Habitat work we have been looking at where we might find Woodlice, small creatures we have in England. We found out yhey are eaters of old leaves, so searched several places in school. Each place we put out our grid, so it was a fair test.
We had some success and some places where there were no woodlice! Enjoy the photos.

For the next few weeks we are looking at HABITATS. Our homework project is to look at "The Beach" as we live near the sea.
So you could go and look at the rock pools at low tide with Mum or Dad - keep safe. Or maybe go to the Warren, and stroll through the Dunes, visit the wildlife hut. The project can be anything! Yes absolutely anything!
Enjoy and I look forward to seeing what you bring in.
We also have written poems about the Sun. We recorded them onto some music amd made a podcast!
Have a listen.

Well what a busy time we have had this week. We have finally managed to put on our class assembly. This went really well and although the class had loads of nerves in speaking in front of the school and the parents! We managed well.
Today we have created a voice thread on some literacy work.

Today we have been writing about the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. We have spent time researching her coronation. We watched old TV reports about it, and even acted out being a person in the crowd.
Today we wrote a letter about it, as though we had been there.
We hope you enjoy reading them.

Happy 2009. Wow a new year begins. What will happen this year?
The New Year is a time when people start thinking about what they could do better (like read more), or about things they'd like to do less of (like eat less bad food).
Have you made a New Year Resolution? I'm thinking this would be fun to share and so our first blog when we get back will be to blog our thoughts for 2009.
