In Freedom Crossing there is a slave named Martin. Martin is trying to get up north. So Bert and Laura hide Martin in their house. Martin's family is already in Canada. Martin is only in Viginia. Walt is trying to catch Martin. Bert and Laura came back from the church they looked for Martin.

Freedom Crossing is so cool ! The main character Laura. Martin is a slave .
Bert is Laura brother . Pa is there dad. The first chapter Martin is being chased by slave catchers . Martin gets away for now! Do you think Martin will get away?

The under ground railroad is a place that African-Americans can escape and get away from there master. If they can get away with out being caught. We are reading a book called freedom crossing it’s about a girl named Laura and a boy named Bert and they talk about the rights of a human. Laura doesn’t really think they should help a slave escape. She didn’t know at first that Bert was helping out in the under ground rail road he is hiding a slave in Laura’s room. Now Laura is saying no native Americans should be owned by another person.

My favorite part so far is when they caught a fugitive and Sally got stolen by a guy with a black beard and a nother guy that Lara didn't know.So far its a good book!

The Under Ground Rail Road is a place that people take slaves to freedom in Canada. If the slaves do not get there they ether get taken back to there owner or will die. If they die there owner will still take them to show the other slaves what mite happen to them if they try to get away to freedom. But if they get to Canada they are safe from the slave catchers.

In Freedom Crossing Bert and Laura went to town to see who the slave was. The slave was a kid they did not know who the slave was. They went back to their house to see if Martin was still there. When they got home they look for Martin.

Chapter 14 was a great chapter. It is called The Rights of a Human. We had to read it and it was actually a good chapter. Laura, Bert, and Martin are the main characters. It told how races have different rights. It was so cool.

We are reading a book called Freedom Crossing. Its about a boy named Martin Paige who is a slave and Bert who is 13 and Laura who is 15. Laura was in the south for four years after her mom died. When she came back. A guy named Joel brings the slave Martin to there house because he already has a slave. Laura thinks its alright to have a slave. Bert is helping Martin get up north. Thats all.
