The Weidner Center was a good place to learn about the old days. The play was called Freedom Train. We went on January 29th 2008. It was kinda cold out so we could not go to the Packer Hall of Fame. I thought it was a good show to see.

A few days ago, my class and I went to the Weidner Center. The play was boring, and Mr. Hamilton, one of our chaperone's, fell asleep 3 times. 3 times! I was so bored, I counted how many times I yawned. But, it taught us a lot about slavery, and about slaves and how they were treated back then. They were treated cruelly, and I'm glad that slavery isn't legal anymore. Its just not right! It was an educational play, and taught us a lot, but it was a rip off that the school is wimpy enough to close just before we went to the Hall of Fame, just because another school closed early. It was a rip off ! Well, good bye, good day, good night, and good evening to all of you!

Our field trip to the Weidner Center was cool. We saw a performance of a show called “Freedom Train”. It was good and we had great seats at the Weidner Center. It was about Harriett Tubman and her life. It was a good show.

I liked to go to the Weidner Center because it has a lot of lights and it's just really cool to be there. I hope we get to the Weidner again. We got to go see Freedom Train. One of the characters is Harriet Tubman, who was also Grandma Moses. There was more people and they had like different parts. It was really cool...you should go there sometime!

On January 29 the fourth grade went to the Weidner to see the play Freedom Train. The Weidner is a very beautiful place. It had a chandelier that was made of different colored glass tubing. When the class was inside the room where we were going to watch the play we saw different levels where you could sit. Once the play started we saw Harriet Tubman. Once she left the stage the play beginned during her childhood and as she got older we learned that while she helped slaves escape she almost had to shoot some people. When she went to stations which are houses that help slaves escape she had to knock and say I’m a friend among friends. It ended by showing us all the characters. It was really cool.

My class went to Weidner Center to see Freedom Train on January 29. It was different then Freedom Crossing. It talks about Harriet Tubman. She helps slaves go to the north and she always came back for the other slaves. Soon she got older and she tried all kind of stuff, like getting her father out of jail.

We went to the Weidner Center on January 29th. It was huge on the inside. We went to see “Freedom Train”. It is a story about Harriet Tubman's life. I liked it a lot because the actors did a very good job at acting the play. I hope I can go there again.

The trip to the Weidner Center was very cool. In fact, the freedom train
thing was boring. The people were crazy. I thought that it was funny
when the slave catcher got drunk that was very funny and hilarious.
There was lots and lots of singing.
