Constitution Post 2 - The Virginia Plan
The Virginia Plan was unsuccessfully proposed at the Constitutional Convention, providing for a legislature of two houses with propotional representation in each house and executive and judicial branches to be chosen by the legislature. The Virgina Plan was a document that outlined federal and state governments. The basic government outlines the Virgina Plan offered is used in America today. It was drafted by James Madison, and presented by Edmund Randolph to the Constitutional Convention on May 29,1787, the Virgina Plan proposed a strong central government. And that is something anyone should know especially a pearson studying the Virginia Plan.
