Room 19 students read and discussed a story called "Robot Girl." The end of the story is left to the reader. Should Kristi volunteer to take homework to her classmate, Stephanie? Though Stephanie is not in Kristi's circle of friends, Kristi thinks she should volunteer, but what if Kristi's friends tease her for helping "Robot Girl?" Zebra Finches Looking for a Home

Article posted October 23, 2007 at 05:22 AM GMT0 • comment (3) • Reads 200

Hi Room 19 students!
Lady and Papa's baby birds are chirping in their nest! Right now they are tiny little fluff balls about an inch long. I'm not even sure how many birds there are. Since Lady lays one egg a day, one egg hatches a day! Lady and Papa take turns sitting on the nest, so it's not easy for me to count the little birds.
If you are interested in getting Zebra Finches, I recommend that you take two, as Zebra Finches like company. You must start talking with your family now! Remember, finches need a cage, finch food, a water dish and a couple of toys. All of that can be found at a pet store. They also need a safe place to live! Cats are very interested in all birds, so think carefully if you have a cat.
Let me know if you are interested!
