I'm Back

Article posted July 21, 2006 at 04:28 PM GMT0 • comment (5) • Reads 11383

I'm finally back from Wichita. But I'm kind of glad I'm back. I started going to a camp at the University of Washington with my friend. It is really fun because you actually get to walk around the campus. In our drama class, we are going to do a play. The play is the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Good thing we don't have to do the play until the last day of camp, which isn't for 2 more weeks.

I can't wait until September because that's when I'm going to my new school. There is a picnic on August 26th which I am going to. My friend is going to the picnic because he already goes to my new school.

Well, that's it for now.

Summer

Article posted June 27, 2006 at 04:42 PM GMT0 • comment (5) • Reads 3165

My Summer is going great! Right now I am at my Grandma's house. My grandma lives on a golf course. It is really cool because if there isn't anyone playing, sometimes my cousin and I play a couple holes of golf. My cousin is a really good golfer. He is a 7 handicap for 18 holes and a 3 and a half handicap for 9 holes. He's even better than my dad.

This morning I am going to a tennis camp. You get to have breaks and snack and after the camp everyone gets to go swimming in the pool since the tennis camp is at Crestview Country Club. I am going to have lots of fun at tennis camp because it is for 3 days from 12 to 3 each day.

I can't wait until 4th of July because my dad is going to let me shoot off fireworks. The firework stands just opened this morning in Wichita. My dad is going to let me shoot off some of the big stuff this year like the "Artillery Shells" which have 2 sizes but we are getting the big ones this year. I think we might also get the big "Roman Candles". They are cool because they shoot off sparks like 150 feet in the air. This 4th of July is going to be so cool.

I'm glad that school is almost out. I am not even going to be at school on the last day because I am going to Kansas and my family needs to pack for the trip. I can't wait because I am going to see a lot of my relatives. I also can't wait because we always have a family reunion in Wichita. It is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to see all of my cousins.

About My Blog

Article posted June 2, 2006 at 07:49 PM GMT0 • comment (4) • Reads 3701

When you blog, you have to log in. To log in, you have to have a name and a password. After you log in, if you want to write an article, you have to click on the word Articles. After you do that, you have to make a title for the article that you are writing. Then you can start writing the article. You can write about anything you want to, or you can just write about your feelings.

You can write on your blog any time you want to. You can even blog from your house if you know what you are doing. If you are even on summer break you can write on your blog.

I think I am a better writer because I have a blog. I can write a lot faster than I could when I first got my blog, which was back in November of 2005. I think I can write a lot faster because I am just so used to writing articles that I’m just so much faster.

My blog is important to me because I have just put a lot of work into writing articles on my blog. I must have at least 30 or 35 articles on my blog and a lot of them are long articles. The blog is also important to me because I have had it for about 8 months now and I am used to having my blog.

Life with Jackson

Article posted May 12, 2006 at 07:47 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1585

I usually get up about 6:45 in the morning. Then I watch TV for an hour, and I have breakfast. At 8:40, my mom takes me to school so I can play before school for a little bit. Sometimes I go later than that because we have slow mornings sometimes.

At school we do journal when we get to class. We write about our weekend, our weekend plans and stuff like that. Some people do their journal on a computer depending on what computer group your in. Then, we do math. Math is my best subject because I am really good at it. I am good at it because it because of my dad.

After that, we go to recess. I usually play Big 4-Square or Wall Ball outside. Or sometimes I just talk about stuff with my friend Logan. I have known Logan since I was 3 or 4. After recess, we go to gym or music. I like gym the most because you get to have fun and play games. In music, you have to listen to boring things.

The rest of the day is just classes. When I get home from school, I watch TV for a while. Then I play my game called Age of the Empires III.

New Game

Article posted May 8, 2006 at 08:11 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1527

I got a new game on Saturday. It is called Age of the Empires III. I like it because you get to be the French, Portuguese, British, Dutch, Russians, Ottomans, Spainish, and Germans. I like the British because they have an artillery unit that does 600 points of damage. The unit is called a rocket. They are really good. The bad thing about them is that you can only use them once.

The WASL

Article posted April 27, 2006 at 08:00 PM GMT0 • comment (6) • Reads 2307

The first day of the WASL was pretty boring. I thought the second day of the WASL was even easier than the first day. I thought the snack was better today though. The WASL is just a test that tells your teacher what you need to work on. The third day of the WASL was even easier than both of the days combined. The test was only 13 problems and I finished way before the break.

I heard that in high school, you have to pass the WASL or else you get held back or something like that. I’m sure it’s harder in high school because you have to do algebra and really hard math.

I wonder if other states have a test like the WASL. Maybe they do because I heard my cousin had to do a pretty important test. But he didn’t say what it was called. I wonder what it’s called?

During the test, you’re not allowed to get out of your seat. You’re also not allowed to use mechanical pencils because a machine corrects the tests.

Now that the WASL is over, There is not much to say. But I will say one thing. I'm glad the WASL is over.

Spring Vacation

Article posted April 6, 2006 at 05:17 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1455

For Spring Vacation, I might go to Portland for a few days. If I do, we are going to the Westin Hotel because my dad has business points for hotel rooms. The thing I like about the Westin Hotel is that they have a Nintendo 64 that you can play for 7 dollars an hour. The bad thing is it takes 3 hours to get from Seattle to Portland.

I don’t really have any other plans for spring vacation. But I just hope that I have fun on spring break.

Bad Luck on Friday the 13th

Article posted January 13, 2006 at 07:54 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 1476

On Friday the 13th a few years ago, the power went out at school. Of course, I haven’t had bad luck yet. I guess I’ll just have to wait until next year. I still just wonder what could happen for bad luck on Friday the 13th. Maybe the power could go out, again. Or maybe someone could wake up and they would be on the floor. Or maybe someone would wake up and something would be stolen. I just don’t know what could happen.

My First Friend

Article posted January 4, 2006 at 07:52 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 726

“Hey Jackson, do you want to go to the Aquarium?” “No,” I said. I wanted to stay right where I was. “Do you want to go somewhere else?” said Dad. “ No, I want to stay right here,” I said. The next day, my mother took me to a new day-care.

I was really nervous. When we got there, all the kids looked to see who was coming in. Then, they saw that it wasn’t someone that they had met before. Then the teacher saw that we had came in. Then she said “ Hello, Jackson, we’ve been waiting for you.”

So I came in and saw that a boy wasn’t playing with anybody, so I wanted to play with him. I said “Hi. What’s your name?” “Logan,” he said. “What’s yours?” “My name is Jackson,” I said. So we were just talking until the teacher said it was time for recess.

Then a couple days later… he started to play with me. I never thought that anyone would like me enough to be my friend because at my old school only some kids talked to me. We would always play outside together. But everyone else still didn’t like me. Every time I played with my friend, the other kids would always seem jealous. Of course the teacher liked that I had made a friend so quickly. But she also wanted me to make friends with everybody, which wasn’t going to be easy.

I was still trying to make a friend, but I was having no success. Whenever I even tried to even talk to somebody, they would just walk away. Finally, I said to myself “I give up.” “I just give up”.

So early next summer, I went back to the day-care and I met a new friend. His name was Edward. We are still friends today.

The Escaping Turkey

Article posted November 23, 2005 at 07:54 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 830

Welcome, to a very snowy November. We are on a farm, and the farmer is starting to kill all the turkeys, so he can give them to the market. The turkeys all are nervous, because they think they might be next. But there was one that was so nervous; he wanted to run away from that farm! But if he ran, nobody would feed him. The one that wanted to run away was named Gibber. There was only one other place that he could get food at. That place was called the forest. The farm that he lived on wasn’t far from the forest. So he ran to the forest while the farmer wasn’t looking.

When Gibber got to the forest, he knew that he needed to build something to live in. When he was gathering things to build his home, he saw that there was a hunter, hunting for wolves. When the hunter saw Gibber, he saw that he could get a turkey for free. So the hunter started to chase and shoot Gibber. Gibber was trying to go through every obstacle that there was. He was trying to run as fast as he could. As he was running, he saw that there was a huge ditch in front of him so he had to try his luck. He tried to jump over and HE MADE IT. So the hunter tried to jump, but he fell in the ditch. Relieved, Gibber got back to work gathering things to make a house. After he was done building his house, he lived happily ever after.
