K.E.T's Escape
Hi my is K.E.T that stands for Kentucky Escape Turkey. I live in the wild, in Idaho. I live with some hobos in a train cart. Luckily they're vegetarians. So I don't have to worry about them. I do have to worry about THANKSGIVING! The worst time of the year. The most dangerous time of year for - TURKEYS!
One night I was looking for some berries. Then I heard a voice. Some bushes moved! Who could it be? I closed my eyes. It came out. I opened my eyes. What do you know? It was my old friend, Coco. "Coco you scared my soul out of me," I cried! "I thought you were an - an - oh never mind. What are you doing here?" "No time to explain," he cried! And he ran off.
Then all of a sudden I heard feet running toward me! I closed my eyes. Something stepped out of the trees! I opened my eyes. I was trapped in a net some person was holding! I thought why they had me in a net. Then I remembered that it was Thanksgiving Day! My heart was pounding as I headed for a door! The person took me inside, and put me on a counter. A voice came from upstairs, it said, "Help me with the baby". The person ran up the stairs. That gave me time to escape. I wiggled and spread my wings. I got out, but my problem was worse now. Because the person was coming back down! As quick as I could I got back into the net! He came in! I was in the net. Luckily he was just getting a cup of milk. He had left the front door open. I ran out the door. I shut the door! I thought to myself, I would never go berry picking on Thanksgiving Day again!
